I was looking through the EaW site today and noticed that Venators are no longer on the official ships list anymore. Any Ideas what happened to them?

Yeah, I want to see some pictures of it, maybe in the next update they will show them up...

Really?, but I dont think they will not put in the venator...

If they did remove it, I bet the reason is that it would get reduntant with 3 Star Destroyers. Maybe the role of the Venator was already filled in by an existing ship?

Yeah, but the venator is a ship that all of us want to see in the game, and delphi said that it will be in the game, well, I hope they didn't forget the venator

The venator designs were lost during pre anh eu and like the victory all the rest were sold to make money for ISDs and research.

Eh the coming soon list is incomplete as weve been shown with Luke, i betting they will still have it.

This is truely dissapointing. But I can understand them taking it out for release at a later date in a Clone Wars expansion pack.

The first Imperator-class destroyers came out mere weeks after the Clone Wars ended. The only reason many Victory-class destroyers were sold off, was that they had enough of other ship types already.

They claim that the list *is* a complete list, yet other places have contradicted that outright. My guess therefore is that the list as it stands is what we may see getting into the demo. Just a guess though, there really is no other reason I can think of for removing one from the list... unless they just lost the video clip related to it .

Luke is not an entity by himself in this game.

He's rather an upgrade to Red Squadron.

 

That's why he's not on the list.

 

As for the Venator, let's hope someone screwed up and accidently removed it when they updated the site.

it may have been removed in a cockup when they tryed to add it a vid he did the opposite and deleted it. and i was looking forward to a Vader-luke-ben Fight.

Something said on another forum by one of the devs makes me think maybe he is. I mean, he mentioned that if Luke were to go up against vader at this time he'd get smashed... I don't think he was referring to space conflict.

 

Luke is not yet a Jedi at this point at time. A face to face confrontation with Vader would likely have whatever result Vader chooses. Luke however is a crack shot, a great pilot, and force sensitive, so expect heroic feats from him.

 

Then again, this would be going against what Lucasarts and the Devs are now saying, and he never clearly states Luke is ground based, so I don't know. I'm keeping my mind open to both possibilities.

yeah your right Darkmark i might as well keep my hopes up for the Ground battle but he should be able to be trained by ben if you change history then Kyle and Luke should be trainable and Yoda should be able to become trained or killed.

lol I was wondering the same thing. plus the site seemed messed up to me when I checked it out last time. video clips would not even start to download, heck I couldn't even click on the button.

 

and I want the venator in. I think its a cool early ship that would be also nice to see later on in the game explode quickly lol.

As much as it seems they tried to prevent mis-information from spreading, it's happened. Take he Luke thing for example. Now we may be over-reacting with the removal of the Venator from this list. Of course, If they did remove (from the game) it I am highly upset seeing as it was confirmed before.

I mean shit, if they have something as antiquated as the Acclamator, I wouldn't understand their reasoning at all.

no there are huge screenshots of loads of X-wings, so it cant be just one squadron.

Maybe it becomes one real big squadren.
