No F*** way the Broadside is 500 meters long...  Maybe 50 meters long but not 500! Just look at the concept art for the Broadside!  Tartans 600 meters long... Way to big as well, the largest conventional ship in the imperial navy with a configuration besides an arrowpoint are 350 meter Carrack Cruisers.  I'd say a Tartan would be closer to 300 meters long.  The concept art shows the Assault Frigate Mk 2 as being about 3 times the length of a Corellian Corvette, or about 450 meters not 700!

Edit: Ooops forgot about the dreadnaught in my rant, but still why would you build an anti-starfighter platform thats 600 meters long?  Wouldn't smaller and faster be better?

i agree, besides when it is smaller, you can build it faster for a more soldit dfense

Using pixel calculations from the concept art I've found that...

 

An Assault Frigate mk. 2 is 660 meters long.

A Broadside Class Corvette is 55 meters long.

A Tartan Class Patrol Craft is exactly 300 meters long.

Am I the only one that noticed this?  The Pirate Frigate is a modifier CEC Action IV Medium Transport... and it's enormous in the game! Enormous!  Its as big as Nebulon B!  How did this ity bitty 100 meter long transport become a 300+ meter monster!

Bad research...just scale it down a to a third the current scale.

So when can we expect a list of models that need to be done.. so i can start on that asap, now that we are in the topic of how big and ect ect..

i think we should take an expample frmo supreme commander ( spiritual sequel to TA) where it's said a destroyer is 2 SCREENS long

 

now probably not that big but the really big ships like SSD should be huuge!
