Another question I have is would it be possible to build formations of units with multiple types of soldiers in them. I'd like to be able to build squads of stormtroopers where there are a couple guys with repeating blasters but most have just normal blasters.

You can put infantry together and it becomes a company. Same thing goes for star fighters.

They said we can change as much as the designers change, so if enough of the engine is stubbed then I don't see why not.

 

 

There is no hard code for this, so you can't change it.

 

That's uhh..disappointing.. I can't keep track of the # of units a company kills and then level them up accordingly?

The lack of a Veterancy system doesnt bother me, i really didnt care one way or the other, now the lack of the SSD does bother, thats something that needs to be modded in and thanks to Juggernaut and his LoW Mod team well have some pretty awesome stuff.

Is there going to be a battle speed option, or maybe just reduce the damage of all ship weapons by 70% to slow down combat? Somthing like that. Do we know if these things are moddable?

yea quick unrealistic acradish battles would deff be a turn off. But hey C&C is like that, and these are the dudes who make those game )

I think quick arcadish games sell more copies. Perhaps we will find out that star wars realism gets sold out. I guess goal number one is to make money rather than be faithful to your license. :: sigh ::

Lol . That made me smile. Usually games have about 4 different game speeds (this from my gaming experience).

very slow >> slow >> normal >> fast

I'm trying to remember what RTS it was.... I think it was the original Red Alert that had a third fastest setting that made games totally insane against human opponents and near impossible against the AI.

Rebellion since it can go very fast unless your talking about another RTS.

I was talking about the speed of the actual game Ghostly, not how fast time passes. I meant that in the fastest mode your units go super fast and at slower speeds units go slower than normal.

Which is what I was reffering to also. And I've never played Rebellion, so that ain't it.
