November 2, 200520 yr I third the motion. (can't wait till someone gets to eight) It might be a battle that if the Rebels have more than a certain number of points, they win.Points = X-Wings 200 points. Y-Wings 100 points. Rouge Squadron 1000 points. Millenium Falcon 500 points. Darth Vader minus 800 points. A-Wings 300 points. Tie Fighters minus 50 points each.If you have over 1500 points, the Rebels win. If they have less, the Imperials win. Something like that maybe? Protecting the world from those who have an IQ higher than 30! Huzzah! Trust me...I'm a professional. November 2, 200520 yr Maybe. We'll see. Be happy that there are some things we don't know already and have to find out in the game http://www.pexsus.com/~littleb/eaw/banner_eaw.jpgFeel the ForceIRC (QuakeNet): #empireatwar
November 2, 200520 yr Most likey it will be scripted. But I think you can influance what you see in the script. Depending on enemy defenses, and forces sent. So most likey it will not be the same thing everytime. Most likey if there is a large empire fleet, you will have to go through them first. Also the Rebels must first steel the DS plans, or they would not know about the DS weakness. November 3, 200520 yr Author Also the Rebels must first steel the DS plans, or they would not know about the DS weakness. It would be best to word this in a way to make it clear that you are expressing your opinion on this rather than stating it as a given fact. Regardless, I think that having the DS plans having to be stolen by the rebels before they can perform the trench run would be a very good balance to the extreme achilles heel of the DS. November 3, 200520 yr i hope it is later added as a gameplay cutscean, it just makes it more realistic. Evacuate, in our moment of triumph. I think you overestimate their chances. November 3, 200520 yr About the script , I think simply If you succeed in the Trench run and the DS is going to be destroyed, it lunches the animation. I think we will have some "cut-scene" regulary as we can for example see heros in Starships etc.
