Perhaps grey planets are impossible to visit until certain goals are completed etc. Hoth might not be able to be visited by the Imperials until, well the Battle of Hoth or that time era. The Asteroid field could be the remains of Alderaan or another planet destroyed by the Death Star and may be completely impossible to visit entirely. Dagobah could be a similar case to Hoth or the Asteroid field.

why wouldnt you be able to visit hoth though?in this game you can do what ever you can practically want to do.that wouldnt make sense but good idea.

Not only those to babies but the executor, sovereign and the mighty eclipse, it would be the first game to have the last. But if not in the first pack perhaps an addon lolololol

I hope they bomb and fire as well once the payload is out, not like in force commander or the battlegrounds, and i hope they are slightly stronger than normal TIE Fighters as well once again unlike force commander.

with information about the planet.

it includes a heading of vigilance

Something interesting caught my eye when i was watching the E3 video. At 7:58 on the far right hand side, u can see a facility sitting in space. It's also visable at 18:47 slightly to the left of the middle of screen. 19:15 top left hand corner. Speculation on what it is? I think it's some kind of refineray. Or could it be a defence platform of some kind? It's deffinatly not the Starbase.

Nathan, i did notice that, but only after u brought it up. Very interesting. Brings up questions of espionge. How can a planet get "vigilance" status? Do u hire huts to oversee espionge? Or perhaps because its just that planet in partiular, because it's jabba's place. What other factors would there be in espionage, and to counter espionage?

Besides normal channels and organizations like INTEL an ISB the Empire is well famed by its legions of spys and informants and connections with Black Sun and even the rebels and their bothan spies.

In Star Wars Rebellion sometimes the player would receive some partial info about some planets by its informants whether smugglers, bounty hunters etc, perhaps EaW may benefict from this as well. Imagine the possibilities being able to call upon the "special" services of this rabble avoiding casualties (imperial faction).

So, is this game going to be like other RTS? like- how do you move from planet to battlefield, and can you get units from the clone wars, or just the ones that are mainly in the last 3 movies???

Rebels and Empire fighting a civil war against each other with a touch of EU units I bet where in the background in the movie setting.

Ogthaamla? Looks like its either a miss spelling error or they aren't using many eu planets. Also if characters come from planets i wouldnt expect more than 20 characters.

I can imagine seeing loads of Characters as there are so many people integral to the SW storyline now.

Probably many of the characters will be made up. Not many LEC games ever included much eu material.

They will have Wedge, Lando, Luke, Corran(hopefully), Han, Leia, Chewie, Lowie(again hopefully), Afyon etc

I didn't like Dash much Anyway. I'd rather have Tycho, Hobbie and Janson.

I don't hate the EU. I'm just saying they want to make this game sell, not make players go, "Who?" when they're playing.

It's a pity, but you are right Indum. The majority of those who buy the game will have watched the films and perhaps know a little about the EU, but not much. They won't want heroes they've never heard of, but they will want those from the films.

 

Still, I wouldn't mind seeing Kyle Katarn there. He's a cool guy.

Well it's likely that we shall see the some of the characters from the EU and Rebellion and the SW games.

Im sick and tired of the same stuff from the movies. Eventaully they will run out of games if they never use EU.

I totally Agree with you Plokoon. I am sick of all the games being based around Luke, Kyle, Han and Leia. Bring in a NJO game set around Jacen and Jaina and the Unifying force.

or a game that is all about the action and without the romance, my god every single movie, even the kiddie ones have romance in it these days.
