I used to do Steelwire Mantis years ago. Problem was I was a pushbike courier at the time, so after ten hours of hacking all over London I wasn't really up to two hours punishment twice a week afterwards. When I involved onto petrol-assisted two wheeled transport, I kinda was at that stage where I couldn't really be bothered! Age, it would seem, can be the greatest enemy! :(

What, O Great Lord of Grubs and all Things Muttery, is Steelwire Mantis??? :?
Is there any question, the best Star Wars movie was The Empire Strikes Back. The mammoth ships flying all over the place, and Vader kicking the heck out of Luke Skywalker, and then telling him that he was his father, fantastic.
The force is strong in my family. No, Luke, I am your father.

Welcome Bill. You are not a Luke Skywalker fan, I take it?
Well nice, but Luke is the very important main character and will win against the evil darth Vader :D
"I am growing stronger with the Force"
Was it southern or northern style?

Haven't a clue! I only did it for a couple of months before my body said 'it's either the training or spending all day hacking around on your bike, not both!'

When did the skippy ball come in?:wink:
Darn you Scathe! The ancient art of bouncing has long been the gnosis of martial arts, hush, before we have to reveal ourselves....
Oh no! I'll violate the Code of Bounceshido!

Yeah! It seems that the practitioners of bouncing live according to the Bounceshido code... and they revere that ultimate force of stupidity and dorkiness, their God: .....Skippy! 8O

They have warriors called Kangurai and assassins called Skipja's...

(for the Fausts among us (that's you, Trej!): what do the word assassin and the Dutch legislation with regard to certain substances have in common?)

"Hier steh ich nun, ich armer Tor!

Und bin so klug als wie zuvor;"

Johann Wolfgang (von) Goethe - Faust(358f)

What I meant was whether any of you guys know where the word assassin (it's sluipmoordenaar in Dutch, moordenaar means killer) stems from...
Faust?

"Hier steh ich nun, ich armer Tor!

Und bin so klug als wie zuvor;"

Johann Wolfgang (von) Goethe - Faust(358f)

Bedecke deinen Himmel, Zeus,

Mit Wolkendunst!

Und übe, Knaben gleich,

Der Disteln köpft,

An Eichen dich und Bergeshöhn!

Mußt mir meine Erde

Doch lassen stehn,

Und meine Hütte,

Die du nicht gebaut,

Und meinen Herd,

Um dessen Glut

Du mich beneidest.

Prometheus, Goethe, 1 Psalm

By stems from, do you mean where is originates and how it's broken down?
Where it originates from is enough... Let me put it another way: the old form of the word assassin has generated a contemporary designation for something that's considered illegal in a lot of countries... Which word is that?

You sound like a gameshow host. :? Okay, first off, do you know the answer and are quizing us(?), or are you truly in search of the answer to your question?

I know now what you mean Scath. It's Haschisch. Or Haxix (as Dumas put it in his books) or just Hashish.

The name originates from the hashish assasin sect, somewhere in the MidEast during the early years of the Islam...

What did I win????

Dude,

"Es schlug mein Herz, geschwind zu Pferde!

Es war getan fast eh gedacht!"

Johnny Goethe- Willkommen und Abschied. (spätere Fassung)
