January 9, 200818 yr Planetarion is a web based strategy game utilizing hourly ticks to dictate the speed of the game. The theme is there are five species-races to choose from each with different ship types and capabilities. Players may select population assignments and government types for additional bonuses. Most players join alliances (capped at 60 members this round) and use IRC (internet relay chat) to organize gameplay defense and attack strategies. Free accounts are available and paid accounts with additional features are available for approximately US $5. Ticks begin Friday, January 11th at 20:00GMT. The round will run for 7 weeks. http://www.planetarion.com "In the future it will become easier for old negatives to become lost and be 'replaced' by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten." - George Lucas, 1988. [u.S.
