I don't. He made C3PO for crying out loud! In watching the movies, you may have noticed that C3PO actually has a personality..., which makes him distinguishable.

-But he never talked to him in EPIV-VI Think about that.

A good question is this: Kenobi, in Episode II, has an astromech droid. But in IV he says: "I don't recall every owning a droid".

-Maybe the fighter and the built-in droid belonged to the Jedi order ?

Along with that, why did neither C-3PO nor R2 recognize Kenobi? Were their memories cleaned somewhere between the movies?

-Has to be, or otherwise 3PO would've needed a therapy.

If your point were valid, I could just as well say: "Of course, SOCL should recognise his one mother out of 1 billion in the entire world." There being a lot of something doesn't mean we have to choose from them all, it's called recognition, SOCL.

Granted, but C-3PO is not a recognizable human being. Along with that, do you expect that out of the hundred billion protocol droids in the galaxy, there isn't at least another that looks exactly like Threepio and couldn't be confused for him?

Okay, my statement over Kenobi and droids was badly stated.

Maybe the fighter and the built-in droid belonged to the Jedi order ?

My point exactly. He may not have owned the droid, but DID have it in his possession (this was the droid was speaking of). I believe Kenobi should at least be able to remember the fact that at one time he had at least ONE droid under his possession since it was vital to his arrival at Genosis and I'm sure he's flown with a droid more than just that one time in AOTC.

-But he never talked to him in EPIV-VI Think about that.

I'm not really sure whether Vader never heared Threepio talk in EPIV-VI, so I going to have to trust you on that... Nice point, Mask.

It would have been difficult to miss him in Bespin. Somewhere I read the Threepio had already met VAder on Alderaan, mistaking him for a Security Droid.

It would have been difficult to miss him in Bespin.

Would it really? There was, after all, at least one other protocol droid on Bespin. You may say that Threepio and that other droid looked quite different, but how was Vader suppose to know what C-3PO looked like after all those years? After all, from TPM and AOTC Threepio changed looks completely and the only reason Anakin probably figured out it was Threepio was because of the voice (I say this because of the lack of recognition on Anakin's face until after the droid speaks, though, of course, it could also be the lack of protocol droids on a backwater moisture farm on a backwater, desert planet).

Somewhere I read the Threepio had already met VAder on Alderaan, mistaking him for a Security Droid.

I read that as well.

Then there's why Threep never spoke with Luke about Anakin, I doubt that even the dorid could have missed the Skywalker name.

Or why he did not recognize the Lars' homestead.

Exactly. That is why I believe Threepio and Artoo both had their memories wiped somewhere along the way.

Alternate endiTESB:

"Did Obi-Wan ever tell you what happened to your Maker?"

"HE told me enough, Lord VAder, he told me you killed him."

"No, I am your Maker."

"Impossible."

"Search your memory you know it to be true."

"Quite possible indeed."

"Join me and together we will bore the Emperor to death and rule the galaxy as Maker and droid."

"Certianly."

Days later on Coruscant.

Palpy:"What's this Darth... Aaaaaaaaaaaargggh he's too boring and he's immune to my dark powers. "

Darth:"Talk more ot the Emperor, Threepio."

c-3P0:"Master Palpatine did you know that Old Bruijan is distantly related to New Jigori, especially regarding the issue of conjugating they both decided on inventing a new propnoun...."

BWUAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Grade-A material, Trej! Grade-A! Boring the Emperor . . . sounds like something I would do, though.

For sure, Vader must have heared Threeps talking in the carbon room on Bespin?

And there were stormies instructed to attack goldenrod, so vader knew that han and leia were traveling with him, I can imagine that he did know that that droid was his own creatoin.

SOCL, I imagine that being part of your big-bad masterplan, or at least part of your story.

Oh, Trej . . . you have no idea. . . .

That doesn't encourage me to even try to make myself an idea of that.

That doesn't encourage me to even try to make myself an idea of that.

And what's that supposed to mean?

It must be that Vader at least knew about C-3PO. Considering that there's a question about whether or not Vader recognised C-3PO in TESB in the http://starwars.com polls. I must admit that most of the voters there seem to think that he didn't recognise him, but that it does give us a definite yes as to the fact that C-3PO could have been recognised by Vader in TESB.

By the way there's even another poll, where they ask whether Vader stopped Fett from shooting Chewbacca because he had Threeps on his back.

It could have been another reason, like an ego trip on Vader's part. Maybe he wanted to keep Fett in check, telling him that he alone decided on who would be shot, or maybe he sensed, that Solo was about to calm Chewie anyway....

Hmm... too many possibilities to speculate about, there are.

I saw it, but what makes you say it gives us a definite yes? I may have simply misunderstood your statement.

Yes, I remember this poll as well. I found it quite interesting because if you think about . . . why did Vader stop Fett from shooting Chewie? Even so, I'm quite sure GL didn't have that in mind at the time of TESB.

Perhaps VAder had intended something else for the Wook?

Perhaps VAder had intended something else for the Wook?

Perhaps, but what would Vader want with Chewie? . . .

Perhaps he feared Boba Fett would accidentally shoot Leia and/or Chewie, which were both his bait for Luke.

Perhaps, but what would Vader want with Chewie? . . .

Perhaps VAder has been influenced by Scath,...

Wouldn't Vader only need Leia for that?

Did you read the rest of my post? I clearly wrote:

SOCL, with the definitive yes, I meant a definitive yes to there being the possibility that Vader recognising Threeps as opposed to an earlier suggestion that Vader wouldn't have recognised Threeps out of a million protocol droids in the galaxy.

I think that Vader could have shot Chewie if it were only for the Luke-bait thing. Come on, if Vader had wanted bait for Luke, he should have killed Leia as well as Chewie! Luke would definitively have sworn to kill Vader out of hatred... And hatred leads to the Dark Side

That's right Scath, but shooting the beutiful Leia, and the cute Wookie... Hm. The movie would seriously fail in the american theaters, and even in Europe.

Ahhh! An enlightened spirit! Do you think so?

Still, I wonder why Chewie was finished off... By something as dorky as a moon!

These are the biggest questions in our short lifes...

Why are we here?

Is there a life after death?

Why did Vader stop Boba Fett from shooting Chewbacca?
