Multiplayer crashes

Anyone else have problems with the game crashing right after a battle?

It seems after a battle is over and it goes to the overview screen it crashes about 50% of the time.

My friend and I just got tired of trying to fight a battle tonight, the game was saved 2 days before the battle, and 3 times in a row right after the battle finished one of us crashed.

We're playing TCP/IP if it helps. Any ideas or suggestions on what could be the problem?

If it's reb.exe, it's been covered, cursed, and managed to stump us all. It's just an error that Rebellion can't seem to shake. Save often is the only way around it. It will eventually let you get past that battle.
Welcome to rebellion! I notice the crashes are pretty minimal with 1.00.00 version of the game. Applying the patch or changing settings with RebEd makes the game more unpredictable in my experience. But there is no way around it, just bad code from a company who didn't give a crap about fixing it.
