Got screwed over by a false accusation which landed me in a hell of a lot of trouble for something I did not do. The university where I both attend and work asked me to "take some time off" while they figured the issue out. Yeah, I didn't take kindly to the administration's position because they had, before truly searching, basically declared me guilty. They basically told me to leave and never come back to work when they asked me to clean out my desk. So I told them, to their faces, to "F*ck off" and marched out (taking the stuff in my desk with me). Since then I've been out of school and out work, living off of reserve money while figuring out how to get this whole scandal cleared and, thus, clear my name.

Well, I think since I saw you last, I graduated, got my first "real" job and just this weekend broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years! Been pretty busy I also have a few publications in the works, two will be out in May

The publications coming out in May are over my work in Glacier National Park this summer (particuarly over the Precambrian fossils) and then the other paper is over fish fossils known from National Park units. I will be giving a talk over the fish one at a meeting in May. I am trying to stay busy with the papers.

I have a giant fire ant nest in my backyard that eat at me and my dog. What is the best, environmentally-friendly solution (i.e. how do I destroy them without destroying the enviornment)?

there is NO 100% Control for Fire Ants fire ant number 250 to 500 thousand. with a swarm season from feb to nov. one good product is called over and out it's a granular that should be applied once a year. should get a 60 to 70% control. most of the time spraying or granular the top of the mound kills a small percent of them and they move, which you start to chase them in your lawn. it would be better to hire a company to treat your lawn usually can run from $45 to $80 dollars bi monthly but you get a higher control rate almost 100% maybe a mound or two a year.
