Actually we should have the Eclipse drop in by accident, out of position so the Rapora don't get slaughtered by the superlaser. In my next post I'm going to level the odds for the Rapora, no more superlaser.

Well, if you're going to destroy the superlaser I'll edit my post again. Let me take out two Kar Lurs first.

Here's a suggestion, fire on the Raporan Super Cruiser, you won't be able to kill it right away, but if you don't try to damage it, it will completely pick you apart.

 

Also the Kar Lur and Savla's are fast enough they can dip in and out of firing range and harass your vessel without endangering themselves that much. Their high speed would make targeting them with the superlaser problematic.

How strong is the supercruiser? I was under the impression it was similar to an SSD...Could it withstand a planet crushing superlaser blast? I want to fire upon it, but Fury is kind of on it...

I think I could fire upon a Kar Lur immediately after entering the battle, before they realize what's going on...

Whoa, a ship designed to be able to willingly ram other ships without taking damage is knocked out by a wave of proton bombs.

You forget, each bomb is capable of taking out a star destroyer, I put the damage on the conservative side. In actual fact the eclipse only has about twice the hull and shielding as a Sovereign, and a couple Kar Lurs really beat up Terj's ship there.

 

Your other wings are busing fighting the absolute swarm of Raporan fighters and Vagaari fighters that are out there.

Ok, this RP has fallen to chaos. I am completely lost as to what to do. We should figure out what is actually going on before we continue on, i you ask me.

Well, considering Mad has now lost two task ofrces, and techically wrecked a brand new eclipse destroyer he was in command of..., i dont think giving him a fleet will be a good idea.

Okay the battle of Kuat...

 

Phase 1: Recon probe is fought to a standstill.

 

Phase 2: The rest of the Raporan fleet arrives

 

Phase 3: The Asteroid strike

 

Phase 4: The Eclipse SSD arrives. This is where we're stuck. The Eclipse SSD arrives and manages to destroy a couple of Kar Lur's with its superlaser before the Rapora succeed in destroying the weapon. Being all alone without support the Eclipse could easily be overwhelmed by the smaller and faster foes. So Athien deploys her forces to screen the Eclipse. With the help of the Eclipse they fight the Rapora to a standstill.

 

NOTE: The key to winning battles in this RPG is to try and eliminate the Rapora's big advantages. Intercept their fighters as far out as possible. Keep your forces loose and adaptable, the Rapora can change plans very quickly. Never, ever deploy heavy starships without significant Anti-starfighter support. Use the Rapora usual numerical inferiority to box them in and whittle them down. Loosing one or two ISDs to kill a Kar Lur is actually good for the GFFA.

Stellar, I'm not sure about the second half of part four. I'm taking the Eclipse out ASAP...

That thing is the only ship you've got that can take on the Rapora Supercruiser, if athien moves to keep the fast Savlas and Kar Lurs off your back you could win this thing. Just think, a completely destroyed Rapora fleet!

 

No, there won't be a Raporan Replicator a.k.a. in this engagement, so don't worry about it.

Well, my Ravager class destroyers can keep fighters off of themselves without the help of other starfighters, they have enough anti-starfighter weaponary to do that.

 

The Vic-Stars and the bothan cruisers can use their missle and torpeoe launchers to either hold off the starfighters, or keep fighters in close and use them to pound capitol ships.

 

The rest of my forces will need fighter support however.

 

Luckily, I might have one last trick up my sleeve. I am going to lsoe a lot of people doing it, but it will dump enough firepower into the thinck of things to hopefully turn the tide of the battle to out advatage. Hopefully.

The Eclipse better make it out of there in one piece, we may need it in the future...

We'll assume Stellar and my post's are reversed, order wise.

bah, I dont think I can win this fight. Not without sacraficing a large portion of my fleet.
