  10. Makes sense. Some planets couldn't obtain GolanIII, I believe. Pointless- main Starbase is spawning fighters, so adding another station that spawns ANYTHING would be serious unbalance. You both better don't try to start another spammy hardware discussion. If anyone of you is going to argue about hardware, use PM or IM. thank you ;D
  11. Interesting idea. Lets see how it works. However I think that Golans being upgreadable only from galactic view- seems to be a little more realistic.
  12. Do not add XQ's to skirmish game. Do not add Golans to GC tactical battles. Golans should be buildable only from galactic view.
  13. Hmmmm...not the best idea. Think from viewpoint of attacker-he'll must to win at very stupid conditions-starbase, golans,other stations, defence fleet and now this planetary guns. Increasing thier damage may be a serious unbalance. Let's don't touch them. I think they're good as they are now. BTW empire magnapulse cannon uses model of planetary turbolaser that could blow ISD in one shot, lol. But we can't put all SW weaponry stats to game, unless somebody wants that single shot from planetary ion cannon could disable any ship for entire battle time :
  14. Very good changes, especially command center stuff He can't upgrade his comp cause it's a laptop. And he don't say that AI doesnn't work. And we should end this performance/GPU/CPU/whateverelse discussion- it starts to be pointless.

  16. JC, your AI is GOOD! Maybe not a perfect one, but nothing can be perfect. Dr. Nick has a good point. Do not cancel SotE because of sucker who believe that laptop is good for games or don't know how to change difficulty level. Some people will complain even about IA2 : It's hard to satify everyone. And that GPU discussion is an off-top, for what you are taking it that serious? Game runs fine on my comp.
  17. What "newer shaders"- both 6x00 and 7x00 have shader model 3.0 ;D Number of RAM doesn't make performance-512 MB is too big for GPU of this class. It's a memory clock that makes it faster. 7300 GS have 4 PS units & 3 VS units. 6600 have 3 VS & 8 PS http://forums.filefront.com/images/smilies/pwned.gif Just keep AI as it is now. If someone can't handle it, he should play at easy difficulty
  18. @Jaydinator57 Maybe you should reduce your detail level?...if you're playing on high, you may experience much lag, especially on this sucky GPU. I don't experience much lag on my comp- which has 512 mb RAM, but my GPU is GF6600 (JC i have a better one than yours ). I can tell you y graphic settings.
  19. 110 C...LOL!! You should do somethin with it, or your comp will not work very long. You say you have changed BIOS...propably that's the reason of over-heating and self-overclock. Also, Is your CPU an AMD or intel?
  20. It's possible that it has something to do with collision mesh which every ship has. However a ship with that ability ("*cough* ARC-Hammer rescaled *cough*") would require crusher box (lool in .alo viewer at stock FoC juggernaut)
  21. Not to mention if you'll use Avenger's ISD I'll have to think again about weapon placement again If you want awesome quality ship models, WAIT for IA2 or GO PLAY Warlords!!! JC isn't a machine ready to change model for SSD/ISD/VSD every 2 weeks : BTW Avenger's ISD is mkII, how could you get similar quality model of mkI? ;D
  22. I forgot to say that SotE uses new Avenger's Venator conversion-same one as in his mini-mod. It's pretty different than venator in CiS v5 & z3r0x's addon v3.
  23. Avenger's have 15 weapon bones, Frankie's 21 Something is wrong with your eyes, lol Redoing ISD at this point would be big loss of time, in which we could make correct model for Tector. Also, it's not important from what you are making a model, each conversion may have different number of bones.
  24. Yes, he did. It's really weird problem- no one else have it ??? @KingA try to download mod again. Mybe some files was corrupted or something.
  25. ALL integrated GPUs sucks in games. Almost always they have less performance than normal cards... How much RAM you have-if less than 1gig, it may lag on galactic map. AT least run slower than un-modded game. Adding bones to model requires source model (.MAX).
