  1. You can focus on one unit....press c once its on the unit
  2. ah intresting find real cool ;D..... whenyou think about it though it makes sence.... sence the tanks are in a squad they follow there leader like infantry. which cuts down on pathfinding so if you have 5 tanks in a group 4 of the 5 tanks follow the one tank so you need 1 pathfind for 1 tank and the rest should follow. though they still go around objects in formation which kinda shoots a hole in my explination :/ o well (or maby the lead tank send its pathfinding to the rest in the group and radmomizes it slightly)

OK iv been busy working on unit experience and at the end of this post there will be a link to what i have so far (Yes its not done 1 or 2 major errors but it kinda works in a test environment ) the only reason why I'm posting it is because I'm going to work soon and its possible i wont Babel to work on it again tell Monday any how first of all I Disagree with this state meant...... dint doubt the power of lua ;D though I'm thinking of a way that would mostly work in missions i believe there is a way to do this in a multiplayer environment though I'm much not as sure.so the most part your right. But...... The real reason i was posting is to show my incomplete level up system . Currently the system detects kills around the unit (has to be around the unit eaw dosint seem to keep track of individual kills. so think of the warcraft 3 exp system) and after a set amount of kills (in the video 2) the unit "levels up". Acutely what happens is the unit is removed once kills are met and is replaced by a whole new unit from XML and heath dosint transfer (tho i could make it if people wanted me to just takes more work). each unitlevel must be a new unit because its much more flexible that way. it dosint seem like muchbut its a start Once i release the source code it is planed to come with 5 slots for herolevels so all you have to do is replace it with you units and the first hero with 3 levels allready set as an example Hear is the video enjoy in its primitive way(mod should beable to use this script In a good way) the quality is low but you will see what going on http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7567932918678530087 (if u cant see the "switching" u can look at the command bar :) hopfuly i will fix the glitches (not shown in vidio) and it will be out soon for any one attemp to fiddle with Oh 1 more thing....look for a post in the future about a release of a primitive chronospher script (its basics are done but big glitches when infantry teleport) and souled be out before foc. Still deciding if il add recharge time to it yet.... depends how i feel ps i used spell check this time

(i know its an old topc but i don care want to share myt thoughts ) I think experiance COULD be posible through lua to an extent.....itd be hard even if it is posible. from looks of it eaw dosint keep track of kills per unit. Only kills per player but i couild be wrong i still need to look more..... though i have a small inifisant idea in my head(to get around posible problem) but i dout il do it cause its too buggy ... even in my head but..... it cam be easily posible to BUY upgrades for individual units (as an upgrade on per unit base's) that would be intresting [edit] Mater of fact jsut thought of where i can put in a script so that heros could have a type of experiance system based on kills il probly work on it tomarow
  5. slightly off topic in a way but i have a question / comment "unless there is dynamic changing of the base placement, all you have to do is remember where the base is...and the next time you play," Wont it be slightly diferent ? because arn't buildings placed in order that they are placed in the slots?so if you build a baracks on planet with 4 planet slots and you build it in the first slot would it be in a difrent location than if you placed it in slot 4? or is buildings always same place ? has this been confermd not to hapeen yet? altho it seems like it dosint hapen ...... (the system above would be beter than nothing )
