    I'm sure it's done this way since your human opponent would just continue to build up offense/defense as you spend an hour fighting over a planet. Just use C3PO or a probe droid to have some idea what's on the pirate planet, then send in a considerably larger force. One of the pirate planets on the rebel side on the largest map offer higher than normal credits... I take that planet 1st thing and build mine facility in every slot. Big $.

    I'm enjoying the game.. my only real complaint is the land battles really have no depth. I'm assuming the devs haven't played warhammer before.

    Anyone else experience this? Essentially, and only once in a while and only in space, the game will pause for a second, play for 2 seconds and then pause again. But it only happens sometimes. If I save the game and restart it, it continues to happen (so not a memory leak). AMD 3800+ 6800GT (81.98) 2 GB memory.

    did you read my post? I can assure you I own the game (2 copies actually) but I just wanted to read through the manual while I'm at work to get ready to play against my buddy tonight. Nothing more, nothing less.
