  1. I hope I'm right. That would be a pretty cool way to balance fleet size with control and I dont think I would mind at all having only 20 ships to work with as long as I could bring in more to replace the destroyed ones.
  2. Perhaps you can bring a fleet that exceeds the 20 unit pop cap, but only 20 units can be on the field at once. More than that may not be managable. Think about it, yeah, having 100 ISD's at once would be cool, but there would be no way to manage them all. For instance, in RTW, you can only have like a dozen units at a time. More than that would be unwieldy. However, more units can enter as some are destroyed/retreat. So like, say you bring in a fleet of like 15 ships, and as some are destroyed, more enter the battle as reinforcements.(like in RTW) So, a fleet of 100 ships would defeat a fleet of 30 ships, but not all of them would fight at once. ...at least, I hope so.
  3. Noian, thats a cool video you have in your sig. Is that from that animated clone wars show?
  4. Cool.
  5. Also, remember that Wookies are naturally adept mechanics! We saw Chewie working on the Falcon all the time. The wookies have a lot of things going for them: intelligent, good with machines, strong. The problem with droids is that they're not very smart and cant adapt to changing circumstances.
  6. I want the final battle to be a good one, thus I'll blockade the last rebel planet on all sides so they cant leave and wait for them to construct a fleet worthy of sacrifice to the Emperor! Once their defenses are prepared I will make the assault and it will be glorious. If I lose, well, I'll just nuke the planet with the Death Star and erase all records of the battle
  7. I will begin immediate construction of the deathstar for its "blow up Endor" special assignment. Until it is ready for deployment, I will send AT-AT's down to the forest moon in a genocide campaign against the nefarious Ewoks.
  8. lol, good question. Its like the rebellion captured the space around the planet and didnt bother to go down and root out the troops on the surface. "Sir, what about the Imperials still down on the planet?" "Eh, whatever, forget about them. We're in space, what're they gonna do to us?" *Hypervelocity gun nukes the space station* "Oh ****!"
  9. My guess is it will be the workhorse for your early fleets. You probably wont start with the ISD. I dont know, however, if it will be able to affect ground battles. Having it send down orbital bombardments would be very cool, though! I do know that TIE bombers can go bombing runs on ground forces.
  10. Why would you want a volcano planet in the first place? For their valuable lava-farms?
  11. I will blow up Endor regardless of who owns it. F-ing ewoks.
  12. Well, there is a theory that if you could manipulate light in the right way, you could basically bend the universe so that any two points were next to each other for an instant. I cant remember exactly how the theory was supposed to work. Its actually closer to teleportation than hyperspace, but anyway...
  13. Thanks! It might be now. The last time I saw the game was about 6 months ago, so it might be completely different by now.
  14. Yes, I have seen this in action at E3(I watched as they played a few battles for us, and then blew up tatooine). From what I remember, if the DS is in range and charged up, all you had to do was hit a button(I seem to remember a big red button, not a lever). There was a confirmation(Do you really want to blow up tatooine?) Then a cinema of the planet getting vaped. So I guess the trick is to destroy the death star before it gets into range or gets charged.
  15. Ok, forgive my ignorance, but what is actually fired out of those cannons? Are they basically just super-powerful turbolasers?
  16. I voted for the ships. I cant imagine myself not swelling with pride as I command a fleet of Star Destroyers into orbit! I hope the voice acting for the units is good. Theres nothing worse than having to listen to silly unit voices every time you want to use that unit.(ex. Chaos Cultists DoW)
