Yes. Planetary bombardments would make the Death Star pointless, and it would give the attacker a huge advantage-all they have to do is win the space battle and then they can kill everything on the ground with their Star Destroyers or other capital ships. I think bombers will have a time limit, but it also is a strategy for the defenders in space to kill all of the enemy bombers with faster fighters. That's what I will do to stop the bombers.

The heroes don't spawn right after they die. Or anywhere near that battle. It just adds some more strategy and fun to the game.

What do we get to build? This is primarely a question for Delphi or anyone that has played the game to anwer. What do we get to build for our base? Do we only get to place defences and only in certian places. Like in BFME--don't do it like that, it severely hurt the game! If one good defence is circulate throughout the world, everyone wil use it and it will not take much strategy--again, don't make the BFME mistake.

He's right. You are getting off topic. I was asking if you think heroes should be respawned we know that they can, but do you like it. It was not really a question of if they can or not, it was your opinion. I hope none of the mods jump to conclusions too early and get rid of the respawning ability too soon. Wait till the game comes out until you change it! If it really is as fun a Delphi calls it, don't change it!!! Let the game be! You don't have to change nearly every aspect of the game if you don't like it. Make your own game! (not your own mod--your own new game)

I was definately not relating this game to SWGB. But Luke is a part of Rouge Squadron and he is on the ground. Home One is a hero ship. The Acclamator is a hero ship. I am asking if you can respawn those. (and if rogue squadron can be respawned--or if members of the squadron respawn seprately)

I have been thinking on this question for a while. If one of your heroes died on a planet blown up by the DS, would you want to get it back? I would. As long as Petroglyph makes the time a pretty substantial amount, or the money a lot, I will probably be fine with heroes respawning. I also think respawning is a poor word to use, but I don't really know what to replace it with.

What about using the Spanish crescent moon tactic. It works if there are no fire ships, or explosive ones to move the formation!

I assume this was pointed at me. Perhaps I should clarify a bit. What I consider to be EU garbage are super-powerful races, (Vong) super uber weapons (Eclipse SD) and idiotic storylines. (Evil clones of Luke and Vader) I can live with everything else, but I don't consider anything in the EU to be true Star Wars. Okay I think I can control my temper on this one.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! What are you thinking?!!!!???? What about when Chewie dies, that isn't true Star Wars. What about all the books in between any of the movies, those aren't true Star Wars either? What about the Jedi Knight games, are those true Star Wars? What about....I'll stop now before I blow up. Thank you for letting me rant!

Could the defender call in a fleet from a different planet, then land those ground troops to surround the attackers?

Yes, that is true. But do you want to sacrifice your ground forces or you fleet is the real question. (even though you could end up sacrificing both) I would sacrifice nearly anything to keep my heroes alive!

If you lose a hero when you could have just retreated them, that is definately an error on your part, so you should have to live with it. By the way, I sent a pretty long private message to Delphi:I called it the Petition of One. It yelled at them for trying to respawn heroes. I said that all of the souls of the dead Star Wars heroes are crying out that they were dead in the movies, or books, so why are they all of a sudden invinsible in the games?

I signed the Petition of One and sent it to them! Maybe that will help! I think the Petition of the Two Thousand would work better, but see what happened to it in the movie--look in the deleted scenes of ep.III P.S. I didn't really sign a petition, but i will message Delphi!

Haha! I'm not very disappointed because the 80 planets was just a rumor! That's what all of you get for believing it! jk.jk.jk. I'm just kidding! I am kind of dissapointed, but 80 planets would make multiplayer campaigns impossible (unless you wanted to stay up for like 48 hours) If you do that, you don't have a life!

What about Mace Windu dying. Was he just injured? How about Vader in the end? Or Palpatine? Biggs and Porkins' ships were blown up and they died. Heroes need to die. It is a natural part of life.
