  1. Woot, that means there is twi'leiks!
  2. Sorry i edited it , i forgot you can't. No need to make a post like that....
  3. We have found out due to news and trailers that there are creatures on planets. My question is can we control them or are wild and or uncontrollable? Example: Can you control banthas, wildlife, etc. like in SWGB?
  4. YES RYLOTH NEEDS TO BE IN!
  5. Ok, thanks for telling me and anyone else who didn't know about that.
  6. Question 1: I am curious to hear from all of you, what you would like to change in EAW if you were the game designers? What would you do? Question 2: What will you mod into the game besides the obvious that we have heard about in this forum. (remember these are two differenet questions, so when you make a response please say "Question 1: or Question: 2"
  7. You still don't understand what I am talking about. Yes you have ships and troops to defend your bases and attack the enemy's bases. I am talking about secret missions that you can send heroes and/or special forces on to take out specific enemy targets. Such as having a squad of commandoes who will infiltrate an enemy base to take out their shield generator; to make the job of conquering the base easier for your forces. Having a special covert squad that can swing the tide of the battle in your favor by destroying a critical structure that weakens the enemy base. Another would be to have a squad of commandoes infiltrate an enemy shipyard to take out their newly built Battle Cruiser. Let's say you're the Rebels and you are watching your brand new MC-90 come out of the Mon Calamari Shipyards, then suddenly it explodes due to sabotage by an enemy commando unit. All those resources and time spent building it are gone. That would be a huge blow to your war effort. What I am talking about is in addition to regular warfare. It's clandestine warfare to weaken the enemy from within, while you attack from without. Say, that in your post next time so we know what you mean.
  8. Where did you learn this from? Or just a theory?

    The Dark Side

Umm, when i went there i could already tell, that this is one of those scare you games, and the pictures are the same....
  10. Would you stop having a go at MJ! Thats the secound time i've seen you do that! All he needs to do is stop spamming. You do not have to bite his head off! Anyway the graphics are great as long as you don't have to have AOE:3 specs for them. I agree that the explosions could be better. A little more firery perhaps? I agree with you, calm down....finally some1 warns you for your flaming....
  11. Okay, you're too stupid to be classified as a dork! Read the first post! It says on the first line! Also read the spamming thread while you are at it. Wow, calm down you, i'm suprised no one has reported or any mods at you for flaming. Anger management, i was looking for a more in depth answer. Sorry i'm not a star wars nerd like you. NERD.
  12. Good? Well it is your opinion but anyways i'm curious to know why you think there just good? What RTS graphics can compare to this that is out at this time? By the way graphics isn't everything....
  13. Why? Just because i don't know about EU and etc? So...?
  14. I think the graphics are excellent thats what i voted for, you spelled it wrong in the poll and in your post by the way.
  15. What is a MPTL-2a
  16. never seen it before. exept maybe HomeWorld 2 Have you ever played the campaigns on AOE 1,2,3 BFME, Majesty(bad), X-Wing Alliance, etc. I don't think he has or else he wouldn't have said that would he?
  17. Heard of what? Your title? What is the kantana fleet? random events? huh? This isn't runescape....
  18. I have looked around the forum, and i haven't seen this anywhere so here is my question. Will the bodies fade away into the ground like in SWGB? Or will they be like some other RTS's where they just vanish, or will they stay there?
  19. All i can say is, YOU CONTROL THE GAME, YOU DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS. Maybe you will choose to start with this and that or it will be choosen for you, and maybe you will decide what and what not to get.
  20. I agree with everyone a bit, I think that they might heal slowly overtime (i hope not though non-realistic) or they will just have to by repaired using a shipyard.
  21. No did you read carefully look again, I put it in bold this time so you can see. Also i edited it a bit too.
  22. Ok, calm down some of you, I may have forgot some things.....Also thanks to the people who complimented me on this.
  23. EaW Confirmation List Features Release date is Febuary 7th 2006. Multi-player will include up to 8-person skirmishes. There will also be a 2-player version of the singleplayer campaign. The game is being made by Petroglyph, who were formerly apart of Westwood Studios, of Command & Conquer fame. The game runs on a new engine developed by Petroglyph. General Gameplay The game is set at the start of Galactic Civil War, between Episode Three: Revenge of the Sith (The end of the Clone Wars) and about two years before Episode Four: A New Hope (The Battle of Yavin). Petrograph has confirmed that there will be expansion packs made after release, it is unspecified what the time frames are. The games technology tree extends to Episode Four and no farther, so no TIE Defenders or Executer-class Star Dreadnuaght. Battles can take place anywhere, from the depths of an Astroid Belt, to a blank region of space, on an island, and around the gravity sphere of a planet. Capital ships and space stations will have hard-point slots that you can equip with additional shield and weapon systems to pack a serious punch. However, your ships' hard points will be visible to the enemy (they actually appear onscreen on your ships) and can be targeted directly. The map will be where you'll keep track of your current missions, which will appear as incoming transmissions in windows that pop up onscreen. Your missions will include critical operations, like those given to you by Rebel officer Mon Mothma or by Emperor Palpatine himself, or side missions uncovered by your spies or offered by neutral characters, like besieged merchants looking for clear passage in pirate-infested space. This map will also be where you produce starships for your fleets and manage the planets under your control. Any given planet may also be the seat of enhanced production or technology, so it may be able to produce more armies or give you immediate access to advanced technologies you'd normally pay a fortune to research. You may even uncover a hidden cache of fighter ships or the home planet of a hero who will join your cause after you liberate it. Or, planets may be strategically placed in the galaxy as choke points. You dont just have your fleet sitting around your planet, you can have them sit anywhere in the galaxy you want as long as its within a certain circle of range of a planet. This allows you to stop enemy fleets attacking your planet with Interdictors before they ever get their. Allowing you to relieve the pressure of stopping ships from getting to the planets surface. Also allows unique hit and run options without the pressure of planetary defences Fortunately, the game will also have both tutorials and a "preamble game" to get new players familiar with strategic decisions, good or bad. From there, with shrewd planning, you may be able to do things like bring the state-of-the-art X-Wing fighter into battle much earlier than it was originally available in the Star Wars universe. You may even decisively crush the Rebellion (or the Empire) before that whole "I am your father" business even happened ~all this info thanks to http://darkhandclan.fragism.com/gl-bin/forum/index.php~ The Death Star takes a really long time to build, so the rebels can destroy it easier and it requires the Research station to research each seperate part for it. The environment can affect your movement and may become an advantage or hinderance. You can edit your options, like changing the scale or how good the graphics are. Reinforcement Points are strategic points scattered around the map. They are crucial for the attacking player as they allow you to hold positions and bring down reinforcement from space. Also, reinforcement points can only be captured by infantry, so it is vital to protect troops as they advance through the battlefield. There are floating platforms on the water worlds that allow combat to occur on them. All game physics and such are controlled in the game folder by XML files, so you will be able to mod this game infinatly. WE WILL BE ALLOWED TO RENAME SHIPS Acquiring the X-wings is a major event for the rebellion, and we certainly didn't want to leave that to a cut-scene! You'll be very hands-on in stealing the X-wings when playing the Alliance! =) You will have the ability to create new units for the game, and some can go in/on/above water. The game engine is very mod friendly, in our opinion. Bombardment from ships in orbit or firing up from the surface can occur in battle A scenario designer is likely, due to the showing of a screen with Offical Maps, and Unoffical Maps listed. Under Offical maps was E3 Demo adn such that they showed the public. You earn credits by controlling a planet, the amount can be boosted by capturing mining facilities and such. Each will affect wach other. In space, Planatery Ion and Turbolaser Cannons will attack the enemy ships, and transports will need to break through to the planet to attack. When on the ground, bombardments can be called down on enemy troops. Capital Ships will be lumbering, while fighters and bombers will be able to turn on a dime. You will be able to control where your fleet jumps in, when the fleet arrives at its destination you will get the view of all the space around the planet, you then point and drag where you want them to jump in at. The drag and drop unit menu in the game appears to be specialized in what unit it is,say if you have 8 Victorys then you will see a mini-pic of a Victory and a number eight beside it. The Empire and Rebel Alliance will be the ONLY two factions. Petroglyph will be working on making the two factions as different as possible. The Empire's will be a more of a 'swarm' faction, using many weak units. The Rebel Alliance's units will be more expensive, and harder to get. The Rebels will steal plans for X-Wings from the Empire. Other ships may be researched in the same way. In space, different systems can be knocked out on capital ships, by using fighters you can knock out a Star Destroyers shields, their hyperdrive, or their weapon systems. Ion cannons are used to knock out systems, rather than destroy ships. Interdictor Cruisers are in the game. These capital ships generate a gravity well, preventing enemy ships from escaping into hyperspace. Heroes can be brought out, improving surrounding units. Having Darth Vader on a Star Destroyer, for example, will improve response time, etc. Heroes can also be brought into ground battles. You can capture reinforcment flags to allow your transports to land near them. Known battlefields: Coruscant, Alderaan, Endor, Naboo, Hoth, Dagobah, Tatooine, Yavin IV as well as never-before-seen environments taken directly from the Star Wars films and expanded universe novels. Units will be built in 'squads' rather than indivually, in a system similar to Battle For Middle Earth. Planets will also have NPCs. Rancors are neutral units who can gobble up troopers, where as Jawas are uncontrollable, yet will fight for the Rebel Alliance. Confirmed Units Rebel Alliance Fighters Air Speeder - A nice touch is that these airspeeders can tangle up the AT-AT's, just like in the Empire Strikes Back. X-Wing A-Wing Y-Wing Mechs T-2b Tank MPTL-2a Pod Walker Assault Speeder - Not Air Speeder. Capital Ships Blockade Runner Corellian Gunship MC-80 Cruiser Home One Class Cruiser Mauder Corvette. Nebulon B-Frigate Assault Frigate Mk II Troopers Rebel Trooper Plex Missle Soldier Structures Ion Cannon Turbolaser Ground Based Laser Cannon Ground Based Laser Blaster Rebel Bacta Tank Light Factory Anti-Aircraft Turret Rebel Command Center Power Generator Base Shield Generator Sensor Node Heavy Vehicle Facility Barracks Shutter Shield Generator Alliance Space Station Level 1 Empire Fighters TIE Fighter TIE Interceptor TIE Bomber TIE Scout Mechs AT-ST AT-AT AT-AA SPMA-T Scout trooper-on-Speeder Bike TIE Crawler 2-M Repulsortank Capital Ships Interdictor Cruiser (No auto Gravity Wells like in Rebellion, nope you click when you want them up then click them down. Includes some charging times and such.) Venator Star Detroyer Tartan Patrol Cruiser Broadside Cruiser Imperial Star Destroyer Victory Star Destroyer Assault Lamba Transport Acclamator Assault Ship Star Galleon Troopers Scouttrooper Stormtrooper Structures Heavy Factory Advanced Vehicle Facility Hypervelocity Gun Turbolaser Sensor Node Research Facility - Must be built to produce Death Star Parts. Communications Array Imperial Space Station Level 5 Superweapons Death Star - The Death Star is in this game, with all it's planet-destroying glory. Once it is in orbit, a timer counts down to zero, at which point...BOOM! Misc. Probe Droids - You can use these to scout out the galaxy in search of the Rebels. Shipyards - Look like build and repair. Heroes Darth Vader Force Crush - Vader uses the force against enemy tanks and vehicles. Force Push - Vader uses a force shockwave to flatten enemy infantry. Kyle Katarn Obi-wan Kenobi Force Protect General Maximillian Veers [May only be in AT-AT] Han Solo & Chewbacca - for somereason these will be a single unit. Mon Mothma R2D2 and C-3PO (maybe, hinted from PFF) Mara Jade Boba Fett Palpatine Moldy Crow (Ship) The Accuser (Ship) Jek Porkins (Ship) Slave 1 (Ship) Satellites Missle Defence Satellite Gaia Structures Mineral Processor Jedi Temple (May be Imperial Structure but unlikely even though surronded by Imperial Base) Space Objects Astroid Fields, with what appears to be an ionization storm. Unconfirmed Rebel ships aproximatly 7:00 into the Leipez Convention Video Here, looks like a light troop carrier. Also check out this site http://swgb.heavengames.com/eaw/units.php
  24. Umm, isn't that kind of a silly question? Of course you can do that, how else will you win. Just having nothing die or buildings destroy....
  25. What do you mean? Like destroying ships? huh?
