sheesh, time to come in and rain hell on the naysayers compare this game with the others eh? it has 88 MAPS! that is very ambitious at first, and a huge leap along with others CONTROL THE GALAXY if they pull this off well then they have probably have revolutionized the genre. Star wars is probably one of the largest universes arund, so creating that sense of immersement in other universes isnt that far off. moddability? as long as they give us the tools and follow through shortly after launch or even 6 months after launch, i expect it to be worth the wait also, you guys had treated the planets like OH SWEET 44 PLANETS YAY!! but now your like, 44 plannets...bah, lucasarts is crushing the creativity... and other little things like pop cap and such make your miond and decide, dont try to sway us with whining

Well a righty ho year eh? you guys have been working hard and long on star wars EAW and hoping it will do well and you will hear the merry laughter of all the nevadian children in feburary. you guys are great, for all the westwooders that may see this i just want to say that from my first RA game in 1997, you guys have been my main saviors in this god forsaken RTS realm, you guys basically cocreated the genre for cryin out loud! and for those in petroglyph, i know that this game is being watched over with your creative and wild minds and we hope for pure Imperial chaos once it ships. i think that the clone wars showed us one thing nothing can beat good, natural instinct and force, no matter how many droids you have. think about it, they have to be constantly given energy, have to be cheap, and able to lift enormous weights, which is a paradox, since if they put in solar panels it would be much more costly per droid.

it depends, did the opponenet build poor defences? was his fleet somewhere else or split? all those factors mean that the last battle might be very large or small

I don't know if you keep up with current events or history very much, but the Axis Powers lost. They overconsumed and were no longer able to grow. Resistance movements weakened the morale of the conquerors who were then forced to wonder from which direction an attack would come. The Allies had Hitler flinching at ghosts and kept him uncertain as to their wiles. The entire time there were millions ready to pounce on his Northern line just a short way from shore. Now in Europe they had a threat present from some unknown direction and a constant battle on the Eastern front. Japan's efforts in the Pacific were coming to a stand still and the Allies began to take back islands. The Onslaught prepared, but the enemy did not prepare well enough. On the day of the invasion Allied forces fought into occupied Europe and delved deep into the heart of the enemy. With resources spread thin, the Axis drooped and headed across the Seigfried line. The Allies pressed on. The Axis fell. So much for an early Offensive. yes, i did know that axis went bye bye, that is why i was saying for 6 years, because after that, they went out like a light. im just trying to show how an quick campaign early inthe game could set up revenue and valuable assests for you later. and about the whole non, preparation.....at least we can learn from thier mistakes

i think igor and a few other people have been away when we talked about this earlier. most of the trailers with imperials is very anti-imperials and pro rebels why? because rebels are the "good" side and the "good" side sells in marketing, and its just a trailer, they still have control of the units hit points, strength, accuracy, and all other performance factors and can tweak them to show the units/ battles the best way/best way peoople want to see

hey ben, ill take the movies offa ya bu7t i really want the movies, you start in the 1920s with limited funds, sets, and costumes, but as the years go by you can make them larger and better and you can also research new things like technicolor or other filming developments like some CG stuff. as for variety, i heard that there are like millions of diffrent variants of combos to the sets,costumes, and props. also your movie could be 4 hours long, or just 2, and thats a aspect i really like. the only con that i have heard is that they dont blend the 2 aspects of management and moviemakin enough and it ends up as playing 2 diffrent games.
