'Nuff Said. So now you agree these are propogandic forums do you? This is not a propogandic forums and if you think it is you need a good kick in the rear. You want a good propogandic forums go see SWG forums. If you want to voice your opinions there you'll get a even bigger kick in the rear.

Its so easy to point a finger and blame someone but have you stopped to think why we are deleting or moving these threads? If you haven't then stop and think now (and properly please) since all we have been doing was outright flame Lucasarts and Petroglyph for not releasing a demo or removing the Venator from the unit list for EAW (Yes I have been also but i'm as human as you guys are). Would you rather see a forum full of insults and complaining then a clean and normal forum? Yes you can still voice your opinions just do it KINDLY. If you cant wait for the demo or EAW then try going outside and find something to do besides complaining about forums all day. Yes I know its hard to wait for a game since Febuary of last year but we managed to get this far haven't we? Only one month left. Now relax by playing a game, having a drink, or do what you do best. Now go voice that opinion of yours Sorry but i'm outright fed up with all the negativity we're having recently. -
Not a censored forums just cleaning up the "spam" or "insults" towards Lucasarts (and yes I was one who posted an opinion also) but the topic is old now so we moved it to the slag heap where everybody can still see it. You can still voice your opinions as long as its proper and not some flame You can leave if you want but this forum is not a censored forum. We are just cleaning up the insults as I said. Btw relax its just a forum no need to get a hissy fit and leave Have a drink and just relax I know its a tough time with all these nervousness posts and waiting for the demo but thats normal on every game forum

Well heres how I would make it. 1) Humanoid military units would be taken out of the population that you control (even if its the crew of a ship in space) 2) Taxing certain planets of their good economy the way you want it to sqeeze out the best credits income 3) Heroes be reqruited but when dead stay dead. Can come back as ghosts if have the training but dont do anything special 4) Units gain Experience and rank 5) Transport units on the ship and not a seperate transport 6) Prototype weapons (Few numbers) can be used in certain amount of battles then upgraded to production stage 7) Seeing capital ships being built inside a shield in a construction yard. 8)Ability to land as many forces as long as you bought enough transports for your landing party 9) Sending commando's to do the easy yet hard dirty work 10) All the units come out exactly when they are supposed to and seeing prototypes in limited quantity 11) Creating outposts for captured or neutral planets (keeping it under control) 12) Able to capture ships that are smaller then your ship. If hero is around then you can capture ships as big as yours but not bigger. Having more then one hero would mean taking over a larger ship then yours. 13) having a Direct IP and its own server

Well 19 years gap and this game starts 2 years before Episode 4. 17 Years of change so CIS Droids would have been used as spare parts. Well I would use them for spare parts anyways when in a shortage or want to get rid of them. CIS ships I would see being used as scrap metal to repair Imperial ships.
-
They got all deactivated and used for spare parts to build Empire stuff out off. Lots of droid shells could be used to make rifles and such.

why do we always have to fight about nothing Aren't all countries free countries? You forgot Canada like always O well i'll let that go since its not in the "language". Sorry about that just adding in Canada to that list like Fosh added in U.K Well its kind of hard to voice our opinions if people keep on making the same thread twice here and we move one and people cry about it. Is it just me or is crying/flaming starting to bump into human nature? You can voice your opinions but if theres 3 threads then we get rid of 2 and if your best arguement out of the 3 was in the 2 then tough luck. Life is what you make of it. -
Well hope this aint rumor

How could you cast shadow on space when theres nothing to cast shadow on except ships ? -
How about this, one of my parents went to vote during the last election and had a person grab the voting paper out of my parent's hand when the paper was just about to enter the box. My parent then asked what was going on and the guy started to be all rude and cussed under his breath. If this happened to me I would have grabbed a baseball bat and hit him whereever I can yell out, "RIGGING THE VOTE" And thats how ladies and gentleman you get rigged votes

Well it depends what you bring down first that will spell out your outcome. Then its up to your skill to see if you can win the land maps. Use everything at your disposal and try and be sneaky If all else fails lower the AI again and try going up the AI steps until you can succeed better Gonna start on medium AI in Campaign and fool around in skirmishes to learn new tricks. -

RTS Game Idea I had - Civil Race
Ghostly_Substance replied to Ghostly_Substance's topic in Slag Heap
Well for the military part Ok so you will start off with a squad of military units and 10 groups of family members that will grow into a civilization like earth is right now and further. Only way you can control the military units is if your in power of mayor or been elected to be the governer and turn yourself into a dictator (You control the military in space but on land you have to have power/respect to control military, if your dictator nothing can throw you out unless your defeated by an assasin or military group). You build military units if you have the cash and if the people want to work in factories and people want to fight. As long as people see a good cause to fight they will fight and if they dont they will stay in camps or their homes/cities. So you cant simply go out and cause a war since the rank below you in military will disobey and mass riots in cities. But when you do cause a war it will be a normal RTS command. You can make a meusum with old units if you want to since after all your race needs to learn from its past Thoughts correction? I got one, when you start you place your village where you want. ok anybody got thoughts ideas ? Correction? -
Not trying to copy Spores (If Spores has this then let me know and I will fix my idea to not relate to spores). Briefly: Well i've been thinking of an RTS where you can watch your race grow and turn into a faction. Maybe dominate the world or galaxy even in real time even when your not there. When you log in you can see a log of what your race accomplished or failed at. You could help them out and gain traits for your character when helping out your race. You could even control the people to advance your race even more or less. Ok more details below. Description: Ok here hows it would work. You choose a race skin or mod one in with a textured skin. Name the race and then choose a planet or make a planet up such as a custom map (civ 4 style) and name the planet. Screen loads with that planet and you have the option of controlling the race leader or watch the AI advance itself and interferring later. When you think its time to go you can just exit the game without saving and your race will keep on living (since it will be hosted on a server). Your race would keep on advancing randomly inventing something (staying of course realistic until a certain timeframe). If your race invents an airport it would show them building the airport in realtime and keeping it practical also since you dont want to see them build and airport for 4 real years so lets say 4 straight days at first then get better at it so it would be 1 hour after a certain time. If your planet is destroyed but your race is alive they try and flee to another planet where there are friendly people. Ok so briefly again so you can catch up to my thoughts: Chose a race skin then name the race. Then choose the planet and name it. Your people will then be randomly placed on the planet (even in water or fire since they will be alien races) Choose if your race will play online or offline or only be shown by your friends who would be friends or enemies. The Galaxy would keep updating itself with new units/buildings/research/items/rituals/religion/AI enhancements to race every once in awhile Custom Planet slots will be machine placed on the map and will keep moving outwards in a rectangle shape while the pre-made planets will be there but have "instances" where your race could be placed. If you want to join a certain race's orbit around the planet and then in you have to type in the name and password (for cheating reasons). If one race wants to join with another they can and have a choice of only having 2 planets being on. edited message: Everything will be realtime on a server that you can donate to that will keep the servers up and let your race advance the way you want it. OR there could be a singleplayer mode where your AI will keep learning while your computer is running/game playing. Well any thoughts? This might never happen but I want to perfect it before I leave this to be picken up by some random company(hopefully good one). Military Idea will be in next post
