There will be a specific number of "Core Planets" which are in every size galaxy. Like Rebellion. Coruscant, Yavin, Hoth, Bespin etc will always be there as they are major planets but others like Bonadan and Mrsst May be only in Larger galaxies.

According to the databank the Death Star Could hold 7,200 starfighters. That is 600 Squadrons. More than the Death Star in Rebellion could hold.
