  1. Is that a K-Wing? Or is it something else? Also, mine aren't drawn out, but here you go! There are 12 of them, and they are huge pictures, so will just link to them. And yes, they are Legos. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Assault2.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Assault2Back.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Assault2Top.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Bomber2.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Bomber2Back.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Bomber2Top.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/ExpandedBomber.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/ExpandedBomberBack.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/ExpandedBomberTop.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Fighter2.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Fighter2Back.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Fighter2Top.jpg And by the way, each one is built off of this: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z5/Prince_Deity/Base_Unit.jpg
  2. In that case, how might one register to wookiepedia? Maybe if we get some people from these forums to all sign up and back up your reasoning, maybe they will let it stay?
  3. The url was supposed to point to a pic from an ebay thingy. It has a blue background, and had blueprints of an X-Wing. I own the X-Wing one, but there are others. But like I said before, I'm not sure if those are any better... Maybe you can post your size comparison pics on wookiepedia (anyone can edit it) and you might also want to tell them what you did to justify your changes...
  4. Def, I have the book that those pictures come from. The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels. The blueprints in that book are scaled to fit the page. There is no scale comparison to any of the other ships. The only "Essential Guide" that I have seen with a scale is The Essential Guide to Droids. They will show another familiar object from Star Wars in the background to give you an idea of how big the thing is. They have 3PO's hand, R2-D2, C-3PO, and then an X-Wing fighter for scale. For the ships though, all of the scaling must be done mathematically. If an Imperial Star Destroyer is placed at 1,000m (I'm not using actual lengths, just so everyone knows...) and the Executor is set at 10,000m, then you would take ten ISDs and line them all up. Then you would scale the Super Star Destroyer until the lengths match. Same would go for the TIEs. I do believe the Empire uses the same cockpit for every TIE varient, so the cockpits should remain the same size. Also, those pictures were hand drawn blueprint-style, so there could be mistakes in some places. I think the blueprints that look like http://this might be more accurate. But then again, I'm not entirely sure. Hope this clears things up...
  5. Any modeling you need done? I now know how to convert into DirectX using Blender. Just holler and I will get working on a model(s).
  6. When will the forums be up? All I have been able to do there is comment on one of your announcements...
  7. It isn't like they are low quality... They are more like colored blueprints. I like 'em.
  8. I just created an account on your site moribundus. I am just waiting for the email. Also, if you need any models done in .X, I now know that I can do that! I can just make the model in my other program, import to Blender ('cause I hate Blender's modeling tools, or at least how they are set up...), and then export to .X I am still an amateur modeler, so I wouldn't expect anything great (like the stuff Mad does...) but I am getting better.
  9. Yup, that is the one. That idea of a secondary hull system always intrigued me. As does the redundant shielding systems of the Mon Cal line. I was never a fan of ships of the line like the ISD's, but I lean more towards the exotic and custom ships like those used by Tyber Zann and other people used. That is also why I like the Rebel designs, because they are pretty much designed off of scrap that they could throw together without it bursting into flames at the first sight of an Imp. (except of course ships like the X-Wing who were initially manufactured by some odd company). I might start designing ships and posting them here, but they won't be anywhere as good looking as Mad or Def's designs, but I will get my point across.
  10. Well, the modeling tools are simpler than in Blender (which was a pain just to get the view right!) but I just need to find out all the shortcuts. I know how to model, because most of the tools are the same as in Blender, with a couple different ones (like symmetrical modeling, just does the same thing to both sides). Once I have the tools down, I will see what I can make with the basic modeling stuff, then I will move on to making things move...
  11. Oh, that is simpler than what I was thinking. I thought it was something like that one ship the Galactic Alliance used in the Vong War that had a second outer hull. It could fake death, and then obtain the element of surprise in the middle of the battle. Does anyone remember that ship? Your idea just sounds like a bunch of mini-hangars with space enough for 1 fighter to launch from. Am I right? Or do they hold more?
  12. Seems just like Blender, but is more friendly with making a game. Blender is mostly a modeling program whereas Mod Tool is designed to make/modify games. It uses shortcuts that you have to know (just like Blender). I am just trying to learn where everything is. I have a piece of paper that is always next to my monitor now with the list of shortcut keys for Mod Tool. It seems easier to make the animations though, but I have only seen the tutorial for that one. Other than not knowing how to use half of the program, it is going great!
  13. Up next, the flying Pepsi can! Or the Cell Phone Fighter! Hmm, maybe I can actually give that a shot. Sounds interesting...
  14. That you can, I worked on blueprints for a military class Shieldship a couple years ago. Then I lost the papers...
  15. Sorry for the double post... I put Mod Tool on my other computer, and it works! But it looks different from all the videos, so I can't find the buttons they tell me to press. I like it, but it would help if the video matched the updates to the program...
  16. Well isn't that what Mad wanted to do?
  17. You got that right... And I put Mod Tool on my other computer, and when I tried to start it up, it said another program was using the xsi.bat file. I also found that a program was also using the registry... I will try putting it on this computer I'm on right now and see if I get the same message...
  18. I'm downloading ModTool right now. It looks really nice. I'm going to give it a shot. Also, nordwindranger, are the modeling tools in this friendly? If they aren't, can you import from other programs?
  19. I've never heard of Hammer. I would look it up on Google, but I would probably get some AutoCad stuff (that makes metal models/blueprints) or some hardware stuff. Is it free?
  20. I think Blender can import .X files...
  21. Ohh. Do you need Half Life 2 to use that? Or can you make stand-alone .exe files that only need xna (XNA right)
  22. Oh, oops. Ok. And I did find the .X export/import in Blender, so I can do modeling for Terra. Just tell me what you need, and I will do it. I am a beginner, so I won't be able to do anything very complicated until I get better at using Blender.
  23. Hmm, I can't find that AFAIK thing. Could you point me in the right direction? Also, as of right now, I can't work with anything but basic 3D modelling in a limited variety of file formats. Is there anything I can do to fill the gap while I try to learn how to use Lua?
  24. As for working with the Terra Reconstructed thing... I don't have any programs that can mess with, import, export, or anythings else with .X files. I also don'r know anything about C++, open GL, or Lua. How easy is it work with any of those three?
