Hey again. I think I got if sorted out. Everytime after you replace a 1033 voice file just go to the file menu and click save. This is then altering the whole EMPSPRITE.dll Which cant be renamed but saved elsewhere in a file perhaps telling you what the changes were for. At which time if you've changed the .dll further or even have reinstalled the game back to original, you can just replace the .dll file in Lucasarts rebellon w/ this one. Is this correct? Hello Zan, I was using Resource Hacker, to replace the voice files. But w/ all the stuff in the drop down menu's I'm not sure what to do, seems as though Ive done them all and nothing is really working right. But too, I'm curious after you have saved them, and say a later date I want to use those again and replace the original voice waves agin how would I go about that? Thanks again! Darth Ominous

Hey all, I was just replacing some empsprite voice files, like Vader and Palp' and w/ all the buttons cant seem to remember how to save them, much less how to pull those files at a later date say if I had restored or reinsatlled the game back to original. Thanks for any help. Darth Ominous

Hello, Did anyone get a venator class destroyer finished, I was thinking of setting up a episode 3 again, and would like to change a few of the ships for more of a different look. I could probably make one but none of my models are very good and they lack textures as well, thanks. Ominous

Ive been increasingly mad at the "cant assault a planet w/ too many Gen's or troops" deal I can dig the Sheild strentgh to strong for Bombardment, like in ESB, but you have to be given the option to ground assault, even if the odds are not in your favor. Run out of troops? go get some more and come back! So I decided to take away Sheild Generators, or at least the ability to build new ones, I did however give the Ai (when he's the Empire) the chance to build a Gen 2 when he researched it on high level! And had to take away bombarment from almost everything, to be sure. Now Ion cannons can be used if you decide to let tie bombers or y-wings have that job. This brought the assault back into the game no matter what! I love it. And If I'm playing the rebellion I also went and gave the empire a little bit cheaper Fleet regiments. 1 I dont mind him having overwhelming access to troop numbers 2 I'm of the opinion he should be able to most of the time take any planet w/ enough work or want. But that being said I gave the Rebellion "Rangers" as someone had put that card up. I made them, real cheap and semi ok for assualting, semi decent for defense, because they are more Guerilla type figthing. This means I can at least have someone on planets that support me. Usually I tend to get the planets support diplomatically, Doesnt mean I can protect them against the might of the Imperial army though. So w/ out a navy strong enough to protect a system or sector , it forces my real building to the outer rim. Also I used the method by a member here of doubling alot of ship stats so fighters were not so dangerous to capital ships. I'll find the post and link it, cause he had a great idea! Made for as he said faster Battles. So thats how Ive been playing lately.

Xan, Yeah, I'd certainly agree w/ that, especially playing against someone else as opposed to the AI. But Ive only ever played the AI, So I just go and build up more planets, to compensate. I go and find the biggest energy, the AI not being so aggressive allows me to get away w/ that. Only once did I play w/ a bud, and the Bastage just kept bombarding my planets to the stone age. "Doesnt play well w/ others" Ha!

Hey all, I'm not saying it wont happen, because it did last night to me. And it took my biggest construction facility! But I always leave 1 energy on all my planets and it seems to help tremendously. Now maybe to the game it dont make a difference, but I must say that I practice that, and unless it's getting late in the game I'm not bothered by natural diasters so much. But here's the problem, you have to manage everything, cause if you let the AI manage building facilities then he loads planets to the max. I personally beleive thats a recipe for disaster.... no pun intended! Ha! A friend mentioned that to me and I gotta say I still think theres a difference. jn

Personaly Id rather go to the gun shop, by a low to medium 38 or a 357 either may do the job to stop a would be intruder, cost 250 to 500 dollars. And then its over with. Alarms can be great, I certainly have no prob with that. But like the home monitoring versions its another monthly bill that eventualy keeps going up.Like we all dont have enough w/ cell phones, cable or whatever else. You can get one that just goes off if someone breaks in, great too. But I just dont trust it as much as my Dog, Especialy power outage, which for most people is probably rare. The dogs ears are something else!, So if he starts up, just as well I know something's not right. As far as the rationality that now I have a gun in the house and it's much more dangerous, I just disagree. Dangerous if you dont respect it. You'll always hear stories positive and negative, we could debate stories of a nut gone crazy vs a person maybe shooting that nut. Someone's gun goes off and hurts someone vs a Home or store owner defending themselves with a gun. All real stories, but consider the immense numbers by which people owning firearms and nothing happens. I'd suppose if you never been around a gun or a gun owner your quite afraid of it. Then your probably going to shake in your boots in states that have right ot carry laws. You've probably been next to people more than you know who are carrying. Unless you get a crazy,good citizens who have them are not going to shoot you for sitting next to him on the bus! Ha! What's the ratio of legal gun owners in the States to shootings daily? Now consider the shootings from that daily number, how many were legal ownerships? Which some guy living in Chicago has lost the right to own legaly, but again that doenst stop everyone from getting one anyway if they just want it for protection.

Kryto's I consider all the media even the "Conservative FOX" (BS depends on where you live) to biased. So I'll slow this down for you (typing real slow) I listen and read pro 2nd amendment, literature, I also living in Chicago hear and read antigun literature. I hear both sides, see how that works, then I make under the situation my view point. So I can say w/ unequal regularity I hear the positions and arguements from both sides. besides here, how many of you have read books on pro gun stats? listen to the NRA News.com? Read thier's and others magazines. Granted Im gonna lean 2nd amendment, because I beleive whole heartedly in it, but if a situation tells me it's not logical, when it comes to laws or anything else the boys up there do. I'll say it.

I mentioned race sir to imply the people I know who live in let's say (not so nice of area's) And even a good friend of mine who is a white man in an all Hispanic neighborhood to say the least. Are armed and for good reason, they know in many cases the police arent showing up quickly, got it, so think again before jumping to conclusions about what I meant. Well, you hit one on the head, I am very pro American, Nothing wrong with being proud of where your country excels, comes together and so far standing the test of time. It will never be 100% perfect, And liberties should not be toyed w/. No I dont mean How "Bush is spying on us" cuase thats crap. They are using survelance on those who have brought a war we are having to adjust to. That is a sketchy topic but, the guide lines they have to follow are somewhat impeding. Be careful, never take what we have here for granted, To say it was written at a different time is dangerous. Perhaps the freedom of all speech may one day be a problem for those up on the Hill, Go down the list and before you know it they could be bastardizing alot more than you bargain for. I love this country but dont underestimate the "Power Corupts and Absolute Power Corupts Absolutely" They already are taxing so heavy it's crushing people on the housing. They always mention first fluctuating mortgage cost's, have they forgotten to tell you that when you pay that inflated price for that home your taxes are grously higher than you neighbors? Listen to the man who play acts as Thomas Jefferson and you'll get the sense we still are the same country as a people. Until we change our basic fundamentals, that being all men are created equal, and all have the same rights to that of anyone else. We should leave all of it alone. As far as the foreign policy goes that change's w/ constant regularity, Countries come and go, and change goverments as well, so our policy there has to be constantly changing. Untrue when it comes to us within this country. I completely disagree w/ the idea you dead if they get in anyway, Dont take away my chance to defend myself should I so hear or catch an intruder. What if he Pyshically is larger?, Tougher, has a gun? A Knife? I'm in my house, it should be my sanctuary to live in piece and safety. I dont like big dogs to many problems for me, but if thats your defense as well, well your choice, but my little guy can hear, so I disagree completely w/ he's got the drop on me. If he barks and the guy runs for it. fine, if he come's to me or my family I'll warn him, but If I should feel threatened, Self preservation is taking in my friend. Otherwise as noted I guess I should hope that after calling the cops ASAP, they arive before the guy may overpower me. Thats reassuring. I'd argue that Gang violence is a problem to be sure, But what about violent crimes by way of robbings, car jackings, rape and home invasion to regular citizens. D.C. and Chicago are Dangerous for all these, and yet they are 2 heavy regulated Gun Cities, Hmm? We got gun free zones all over the damn place, but criminals still shoot there anyway, "Hey! ISAID NO SHOOTING HERE!" realy goes along way. And if you'd ask most of the people in Black neighborhoods who may not be criminals I bet they own a gun, probably not legaly, but they know the reality of the situation best. Ive talked w/ people at work, they say the same, most races get it. I see more oposition from Whites who perhaps from laws existing way to long or by that of a more liberal family grew up not w/ guns and so are deathly afraid of what they have not been around. Go to rural area's where heavy restriction is not in place, and you'll see that most have firearms, Almost no gangs and guess what shootings are rare. The choice as always should be up to the individual. I dont go around sticking my guns in people's faces so get your gun outta my face is a real intresting topic to the bad guy when he sticks it in your face, just hope he realy fears prison and dont want to be electricuted, but maybe he'll be rutheless, maybe on drugs, maybe fixin' for money for drugs, Whatever, criminals look always for an advantage, the upperhand if you will, if they need that gun they will always get it.

I hear ya Mad but I also hear tourist's are getting robbed in Aussie and I see reports of a crowd massing at goverment buildings debating that crime and home invasions are on the up, after the gun grab. I will say if you only listen to the media your opinion is natuaraly biased, 1 they present it almost always as the main stream thinks that way, and always show the worst, killings and murders w/ guns to say the least. Which we all know makes for a great story. 2. never show you statistic's that show otherwise, most media very biased for sure. Although it was not the original intention or the 2nd amendment, protecting yourself, family and home were thing so f the norm back then, nowone would have ever even debated that, they knew if a guy bust's in my house they shot his ass. So this is what I ask, daily the media here in Chicago show Gang shootings where innocent kids get shot. What they dont explain is yes, sometimes mistaken Identity, but in the case of kids they dont tell you that many gang members male and female have kids, and they have them out at wee hours! what the hell is that? I know a Public school teacher and she even said the smallest kids already know the gang crap, parents promote it. So thats why many small childeren get shot here. But just as often we hear of elderly people who in Chicago cant own a handy handgun, they almost more or definetly weekly are killed from break in's. Have we no respect for the elderly's right to defend themselves? Why on God's green earth do people expect you to be a victim to a scum bag? God's will is not to kill but I dont think he meant die for your attacker. Oh yeah but you can take solice in knowing that while your dead the law will bring him to justice! That makes me feel safe. The media also never reports the most hanus crimes, crimes that would sway public opinion almost right away. Where 1 or more guys bust in a house beat or kill the father and rape woman and childeren, 1 case recently these guys even burned the bodies to destroy evidence. If big guys bust in and you cant physically subdue them why should you be a statistic no one hears about, maybe if they get you, your wife who otherwise may be defenseless can sure fire a weapon. What is w/ the whole lamb mentality? Criminals dont like getting shot at or killed, trust me, that should be enough to tell you there. Cities are just as important to have guns as rural area's I lie in both, I live in Chicago, drive through bad area's from work, and also have a place in the rural U.P. of michigan. ! in the city lots of nuts, cops only show to pick up pieces (I know some try, but criminals dont wait for cops) and the rural area's are important cause cop's are few and far between. So that's how I feel about it. Idont care to argue just wish people would investigate more besides the media driven opinion, and crap from wikipedia. I read pro gun literature, Radio shows, and listen to statistic's, I do not have to go far to hear the other side, it's crammed down my throat every day in papers and news. How about you?

Well most politicians here in the states would stay away from the arguement, Gun crimes are comitted by most law abiding citizens. Because I dont know about ole' Norway, but here w/ 20 million NRA members that Arguement or accusation holds no truth at all. Of all these shootings that are nuts, criminals or gangs are not by most accounts NRA members. Ive never heard a politician remark about that because it just not true. Also self defense is a huge arguement for the 2nd amendment, but it's not necessarily thee arguement for it. Nor is it necessarily for the protection of a foriegn inveder, another twist on the truth. In the federalist papers written by the founding fathers they state "Shall not be infringed" means to protect against a tyranical goverment" Now then they certainly didnt trust goverment/ or in their case a monarchy. They knew that the best control a goverment has over it's people is to take away guns from the citizens who otherwise might revolt against, over taxing (Familiar?), persecution of races (like Hitler or Stalin) any thing not for the common people or tyranical. Hitler Stalin and the Chinese have or had gun control, eh? I'm not saying we are there. 1770's they rebelled against taxation w/out representation, I gotta tell ya, When they give themselves raises and continue to raise our taxes cause they spent to much money, I dont feel represented, do you? People would rather watch american Idol than ask the hard questions of the legislators, so they are pratically unwatched. People have become way to submisive and gun control is another aspect in it. As far as why then do I need a Ar-15 (M-16), An AK-47? or any other? There again, unless I am a gun dealer or have major licenses (saying they can check my house at any time) I cant buy or own a fully automatic weapon. Everything is semi auto. Like an old WW 2 M1 Garand, should these collectables then be outlawed as well. Im no paranoid about goverment, I just dont support banning any weapons that fall w/in the restrictions I noted, Again it's to protect against a tyranical goverment. I suppose if they let us all have tiny 22's we could rise up against the gov' if they began to take away liberties that all our wars were fought for, all the wars our people died and fought for, that makes no sense. More disturbing is how the more people think we are so much more evolved, the more they blind their eyes to the truth, there will always be criminals, rapists, gangbangers, murderers, and countries who hate everything we stand for. I for one dont choose to be a victim, by invasion of my house, or by country be that army or terrorism. There are many lies to complete gun grabbing on the internet, I choose to weigh them out my self.

Hello all, I'm back! Ha! Well after all that failure I just went back to playing the game, and enjoyed myself immensly. After my spirit was back up I went back in and started lightly playing w/ how to get my model in the game. When I was looking for help before and I couldnt get it I felt like I was down here trying to get your attention and you guys were just up there in your starships waiting to see if I could get her off the ground! Well I got news for anyone who either cant download gmax, use gmax or whatever the case may be. You can use Milkshape which for me was much easier to get going than whatever it was that I did have. Afterthat you can use the new lithunwrap to save it as your .x text document. I found out that you can import a .3ds file from Milkshape into lithunwrap, from there if you can figure out how to do a texture, which I still had problems w/. (my model seems to have it in the file though I cant see it in the game). But most importantly I found out that if you do a save you can convert it into a .x file. That will at least get your ship in the game. I know how to use the bmp converter but no matter what I did I couldnt get the conv3ds to work! so luckily LithUnwrap's worked, because as I exported or saved in Milkshape or Blender the .x file ws never quite right, cause I never saw it in the game. So remember dont export outta Lith' just save and scroll sown to .x and it will convert it for ya. I gotta take off for up north so it will be a couple of days before I can link up my Battlestar if anyone should so choose to use it, or maybe texture it, be my guest. Why a Battlestar? well I love Star Wars firstly but loved the show as a kid, so w/ everyone already covering all the Star Wars ships one could want to see improved, I figured start w/ that. I made her a bit big, say like 25% more than a Star Destroyer, I thought as a last rebellion ship tech it made sense, Caprica has joined the alliance and just produced their biggest baddest ship yet, The BattleStar! It's definetly real basic and realy needs a texture or a paint job or something. Hey if anyone knows the dimensions of what it realy should be let me know, cheers and be back in a day or two. D. O.

Well I cant seem to get any further and my files are now doing strange things. I see many pass by and look but no advice. The tutorial was helpful, which I tried in the first place, but when I thought I had Gmax it wasnt just some ohter japanese company that had 3ds formatting, so it was nothing like the tutorial, when I tried to get Gmax, it would never finish installing, especially after all the joining of sites. So I used milkshape, and tried to do more in blender w/ the model, but nothing, so I then tried in Lith but buttons dont work or it's a completelty different version than Mask explains, I get it into paint shop, then cant get it back in. Plus the model always seems to be set vertical in Lith, What the hell is that? On steps 1 and then when you take the painted file back in the buttons dont match at all (like from the tut') So thats that, Ive spent more time than I need.

Well, I couldnt manage to download any of the modeling program w/out all kinds of little error probs, so I began working again in Milkshape, I do know how to get it out and get it in Blender as a.x or a .obj file, but I dont have the program to do texturing. So I decide to do a Galactica, it's real basic in some area's and better in others, is what it is. If any body has Blender I'll email it to ya if you think you can do anything w/ it. Please help, the learning process here is maddening! Ha!

Hello all, well Ive been fartin around w/ making a model and I finaly got it from Milkshape to another program! I got it as a.obj file imported it to Blender and even got it rendered, exported it as a.x file but it wont appear in the game, it's invisiable, or maybe Ive made the first cloaked ship! Ha! but I dont wanna cloaked ship!!! So I dont know where to go from here, If someone has blender I could send you the file as a .x or .obj and maybe you can tell me what to do from that. Basically it's real basic just sqaures added together, no rounded or slant type features. I dont know how to do that in Milkshape if I could, in Blender or even how to get 3ds max to funtion fo a sec' thanks again

I downloaded some free stuff from 3dds max or something but I cant even get the thing tyo start drwing or make anything so I downloaded Milkshape and Im working on very basic shape, real basic. Will that work to convert to the game? Also what is renedering?, thanks any help is great.

Howdy all, Originaly I was having probs w/ Mon Cal's not fighting but they seem to be fighting now. ? Well I gotta say I love the Mod tremedously. I'm having fun w/ more of the ships the changes to the detail as well are awesome! My Republic game seemed rather easy, but still no problem there. But I am having real difficulty in my Imperial game, he's got me backed into a a corner and he's making it worse. Granted I play in a way that I kinda dont run around weaking and bombarding his planets before he can protect them, like early in the game. Ive had maitainence problems of every kind! Ha! I have learned so I dought my next game I'll be in such dire circumstances. I just wish I had the damn resources to build an Eclipse., just so I can make them pay for their insurection! But anyway cant wait for the finsihed reloaded, Thanks and cheers to the all the people for the hard work.

Howdy all, and thanks for the beta, nice touch on many things. Only issue I seem to have is my MC -80 cruisers sometimes dont seem to move, and whatever the SSD is (if it's realy that) doesnt seem to attack either, any thoughts? thanks again!!!
