i think a fully accesable z-plane like in homeworld2 is unessasary. i play homaworld 2 every day and i only use the z-plane to hide senser probes it is nearly useless for hising or for actual combat.

I thought it went from (III-IV) to EU. It doesnt just go from III to IV. Well it doesn't really matter either way it allows for an executor! I still can't see why it is nessicary. For its size, the Executor class SSD was incredibly under-gunned and didn't even hold that much stuff (like TIE squadrons and ground assault forces.) I can't see the use of a command vessel either (which was its effective role) unless you gain some pretty good fleet bonuses like quicker hyperspace travel, or better accuracy because of improved communications. because it will fulfill all my hopes and dreams
