  2. If need be, I'd make it so that a warship could both fight as a warship and also carry troops to the surface. But only few ships would be able to do so.

  6. Well since most likely only 1 mod can be used at a time, it won't **** multiplayer, you'll just need to find someone with the same mod.

  8. correct unless Petro does what Dawn of War did and have a mod switcher which automatically activates a mod/deactivates it whenever you want.
  9. No skin off my back. I'm just glad people would really support this small mod and it not be made for nothing. I do have a concern over the Petro ships made becuase they are not in the trilogy so do you make a mod to just add stuff in or do you also remove things to make it more like the trilogy but still keeping it balanced? I guess its time for a poll.
  10. It was moved back to give it room to breath and so we'd have a polished RTS. Petro I think wants to get this right.
  11. No paycheck for me, I'd ask for a job doing something. As for the mini-mod, I guess it wouldn't include much becuase we aren't missing all that much but a few ships and stuff. But hey it'll be good for those who just want the trilogy stuff.

  14. I don't see how its such a hard concept to understand but oh well. I might as well make a mini mod what wil take the LoW stuff but only have the Trilogy stuff in it for the people who don't want the EU stuff.
  15. Since the mod will release in stages, then yes it would patch up what Petro left out first. Release 1 might look like this: Empire and Rebel units added Camapign expanded to cover Ep 5 and 6 New Republic, Imperial Remanant added also Thrawn and Cloned Emperor Campaign bits added to the end of the Campaign(we'd put the stuff in between Ep 6 and Thrawn in later)

  17. Legacy of War is a mod, simply put. It expands on EaW by adding in everyhting past Ep 4. Imperial Assualt 2 is not an expansion for the game, it is a mod also which puts in the clone wars sides. Oh yeah, you fiddle with notepad. I'd suggest looking for mods for games you own and see how they are done, how they install and are removed.
  18. Typically you'd simply have to remove the mod to play the game again. While true, a mod overrides the normal game, a mod does not replace game files. Instead the game reads the mod files in preference to the normal files. See?

  20. Its an Expansion mod for Empire at War. You don't have to get it, its just a mod.

  22. A mod modifies the game to be what the modder wants it to be. There are limitations certainly, but most of the time a modder will just work within those constraints and make the game how they want it. Who are modders, normal people who want to see the game they are modding be something else or expand the game. How do people make mods, by editing game files. Not the EXE mind you but most of the time games have files which control the game itself so a modder just modifies them.
  23. Triple post, this isn't good. FreiTek Inc.designed the E-Wing prior to Grand Admiral Trawn's campaign against the New Republic. The E-Wing speedily put into production during this campaign, but battle data indicated the laser cannons were underpowered becuase of the synthetically spin-sealed Tibanna gas they used. Engineers fixed this problem by rigging the actuators to accept three ties the normal amount of energy, thus the E-Wing Type B was born. When the Cloned Emperor made his presence known, E-Wings were sent to Mon Calamari to fight the World Devestators. http://legacy.gamemod.net/Images/renders/E-Wingthumb.jpg The E-Wing is heavily armored and carries an impressive amount of Proton Torpedoes. In Legacy of War, the E-Wing does not replace the X-Wing, instead it will be buildable after it is researched. Also, as a side note, be ok the look out in the next weeks for a large update on Legacy of War.
