Woo! Managed to get some drawing done while I had the day off. First up I decided I'd choose a fighter used by someone other than the Terrans for once. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/Warlord_FighterVellar-C.gif Vellar class Fighter C-Model [ Vellar - C ] Crew: 1 (Pilot) Light Shields: 4 4x S.P. Torpedo 4x Raptor Class Missile 4x Standard Mini-missile 4x Partice Beam Cannon 4x 20mm Vulcan Cannon Maunfacturer: South Rift Warlords Users: Pirates, Various (This thing still reminds me of the Toscan Starfighter.) A relatively new fighter design as far as Pirate groups are concerned, it's early versions were somewhat underpowered compared to most front line fighters. Most problems were corrected as the Warlord forces began selling quantities of these ships to Rebel forces in the Dominion. Back to the Terrans for a second. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/TF-141-E.gif TF-141-E "Workhorse" Crew: 1-2 (Pilot, Weapons Officer) Light Shields: 2-4 4x S.P. Torpedo 4x External Seeker Sparrow 8x Internal Seeker Sparrow 6x Foxfire Rotary Missile 8x Standard Mini-missile 12x Shard class Missile 2x 20mm Vulcan MAA Maunfacturer: Newport Fleet Systems Users: Terran Alliance, Newport Mercenary Guild In 4531 this thing is a nearly 50 year old design. Prototypes from this family of vehicles saw use in the Preventor War armed with twin Pulse cannon. In more recent years the Terran Alliance have outfitted this class of fighters as a missile boat as it's dogfighting abilities are lacking compared to newer vehicles. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/RF-380-Praetorian.gif RF-380 Crew: 2 (Pilot, ECO) 4x Anti-ship missile 8x LRM 4x MRM 8x SRM 6x Micro-Phase Cannon (6 Armoured mountings) Maunfacturer: Republic Users: Republic, Preventors The Republic began design work on this Heavy Interceptor durring the 20 Years War, long before the advent of starfighter grade shield projectors. It was the most powerful starfighter of it's era, with heavy armour, more powerful engines and larger thrusters than anything built for some hundred years. Only a few hundred were built before the end of the war and were assigned to elite pilots. Leading up to and durring the Preventor war the Praetorian saw use by pro-human elements. Several squadrons still remain in the hands of such groups. (Waiting for Krytos to comment on the Battletech style Missile designations. Forgot to draw the thrusters on the wingtip engines also. I'm thinking of posting it again only with more modern weapons next time. )

Lol, trying to invade everything with Panda's lately J? Still it looks cool. I'm not going to put more angles on it Eagle, it's supposed to cut through an Atmosphere so it needs rounded-ness for flow.

Looking at the hex info Tex posted I think I already know the answer to the question I'm about to ask. However I can't leave it unasked. Does anyone think that it may be possible to increase the number of types of Starfighters that can be built in the game. I know it would mean alterning the GUI because of the fighters wanting to be grouped into their diffrient types, but is it possible? And for that matter would it possible to add more ship types despite the editor difficulties that would cause?

The weather here is becoming highly unstable. We're getting crazy occilations back and forth between almost slightly above freezing and OH-MY-FREAKING-GOD-IT'S-COLD! And snow durring the transition phases.

I thought about getting a second life account way back when it started but I didn't have a credit card yet and wasn't about to ask my parents. Now I'll have to start thinking about it again. LOL! Love the 'First life' thing Evaders.

Kick ass LAV there Krytos. I could definitely see that in action. Decided to finally stop in and post another Starfighter design; the "Gunfigher" (Applications for new names here.) It's a single engine Light Interceptor. I created the base design a few years ago but didn't care for how it came out so I did a little re-tuning of the design last week. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/TF-105Gun-FighterC.gif Some of you may be thinking 'Omg, that's not a light fighter, it's not light at all.' It is light compared the the heavy interceptors. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/TerranlightvsHeavyfightercomparison.gif This thing does not have the power systems necessary to be fitted with a Jump Drive or the room to do so. It does however support a handfull of small shield projectors which can be relocated to better protect the fighter depending on the mission type.

We've still got snow here. Went up to +2 a few days ago taking the worst of it off the roads and leaving us the snowbanks. The next day we got another 4cm of the stuff.

Lot of reading I don't feel like going through right now in this thread. All I can tell is it's a little sidetracked. Anyways, I think I'll go see 300 when it comes out in theatres here. I really liked Sin City and wished I'd seen it in theatres. Hoping I won't miss 300 like I did that last few movies I wanted to see.

The Death Star II tunnel run was 'effing hard. I had to do it a couple of time with invincibility turned on so that I could get used to what turns you could take at diffrient speeds. When you get the chance, take the side passage leading into the super laser tunnel. It's large enough for you to finally shoot down the annoying Tie's following you. I think if you stay there too long the laser fires and you die. *Shrug* The only other really hard part I had was dealing with the space troopers and the turret that they'd set up in the one room full of platforms and things to run into. You don't have to actually kill it but it'll hurt you either way. The space troopers may follow you down the tunnel if you ignore them. Should something happen to Wedge, like his fighter getting stuck and a wall and ceasing to exist, (rare but it happens) then you have to take out the little side do-hickey that Wedge does in the move first otherwise the core is invulnerable. (I can't remember the name of it anymore! Need to go watch Jedi.) Getting out is easy as hell, just keep shooting and keep the speed up. The only time I've been killed by the blastwave was when I actually stopped to look for it. "Ooh pritty!" *Explodes* Awesome thing to do, edit the mission to put Wedge in the Falcon and you flying an X-wing or A-wing. Easiest thing EVER to whip through the tunnels in those tiny little fighters compared to the Falcon. -
His reserve chute was open enough to make the landing surviveable. The way they were describing it at the start I thought the guy's chute had sheared clean off.

So I'm going to see a movie tomorrow but can't decide which one. So far I've narrowed it down to either 'Epic Movie' or Children of Men. Ideas?

Attention US/World Populace: Prepare To Run For Your Lives
Defender_16 replied to Darth_Rob's topic in Outside Interests
I already figured with 90% certainty that she would run for President in 2008 about 6 years ago. Why she only decided to announce it recently is all politics to me. -
Once I accidentally defeated the Imperial fleet at Coruscant with just 1 sector fleet. "Oops, they've got an Interdictor... " [voice]Then I guess I have no choice... but to kill you all.[/Antonio Benderas voice]

Perhaps we should all come up with a caption for the pic? "These automatic vehicle starters don't seem to work so well on walkers."
