If you're so low on loyalty, you'll need 6 troops to maintain order. I don't think you can stop smugglers unless you have a ship in orbit. Best choice: get that loyalty up with diplomats!

There you go. Revolution just left, so there is nothing we can do about it.

What? RebED .27?? Would love to see what you have. Could you get some webspace and upload them? Or contact me and we can work out a file transfer. Personally, I think SWRE isn't any use... RebED does everything you need. But if some people want it, I'll be glad to host it as well. And welcome to the site! Thanxs for visiting and hope you stick around.

What the heck is happening? Warcraft 3 server?? Who is sending you all to our site?

OOC: Someone give me a recap of what has happened. Perhaps a new topic with a summary and personae dramatis would help. Then I can see where I fit in.

Anti-Aliasing... I really don't want to explain. In Paint Shop Pro, go to File -> Preferences -> File Format Preferences -> Postscript and uncheck Antialiasing.
-
Probably Anti-aliasing is on with your picture program. This makes the pixels near your image blend with blue, producing the blue-aura surrounding your picture. You'll need to start from the beginning and make sure your picture isn't saved with Anti-aliasing.

I would like to request being unbanned from the on counter..

What??? We don't run a counterstrike server here, so I don't know what the heck you are talking about. -
Ok, then write it and I'll have Elegos post it up.

The thing is: the only Private Forum on here is used for our team leaders. This helps us organize this TC for implementation. Serious stuff for serious work. Its purpose is to get our decisions down to application. Nothing new is being discussed, and certainly nothing hidden. With all our public forums so far, I think there is more than enough areas for all members to help. However, the Members Only area makes sure we have a commitment from our team leaders... and we know who to kick if they don't get it going

I'm not questioning American patriotism. I'm questioning people's opinions on this issue. They are free to express their opinion... whether it is right or wrong. But get the facts before denouncing Bush as this "warmonger" Most of these protests seem to be more "anti-American" than actually for peace. When have you heard a protester actually calling for the removal of Saddam. Just because Bush may do something in foreign affairs (unlike the former-President Clinton), suddenly American patriotism is bad because we support the president. Where were the protesters when Clinton bombed Iraq? Where were the protesters when we removing Milosevic from Yugoslavia? I supported former-President Clinton when he did both acts. As I support the current American President, because frankly: he has more information on his side than we know. He actually listens to his cabinet and department heads... CIA, FBI, NSA, all telling him that Iraq is a threat. I believe that to ignore these warnings would put us in a situation that would make us all vulnerable. Again, I like criticism.. it is good for any leader to be scrutinized. But don't start protesting under the veil of "peace" unless you get the facts. - qui desideret pacem praeseret bellum - He who would desire peace should be prepared for war. If you want to debate me on any of these topics, just email me. Thanxs for your opinion. I don't agree to everything he does... nor does everyone in the US agree with what he does. In this situation, I believe he is right to remove Saddam. Topic closed.[/b]

hey, I'm just saying the US does what it has to do. You're wrong that countries don't have a choice... they do. Yes we're involved in the world more than we should be, but if its not us, who's it going to be? China? Iraq? FRANCE?? Latin America has grown more and more.. but it still needs a stability, just as Africa needs stability. Until there is some civilization, some functioning government, there will be no change. We have a lot a business in Latin America, which helps all the countries. I hope people can take America as an example of freedom and liberty, not this mob "America is evil" mentality that these protesters seem to have. Anyway, my ranting is done. Back on topic!

The problem is, while good in theory, COMMUNISM DOESN'T WORK! The world is full of dictators and as you said, people care for only number 1. Yes, in communism you have a global account where you add what you can, and take what you need... but whoever controls the account has the power. Communism is flawed because people are human. I certainly don't believe in pure democracy either. Democracy is the will of the majority.. the mob. Only the mob of the people rules, and whoever controls the people wins. For me, I believe that a democractic republic works. The United States is a democratic republic... we have elected officials that make decisions, and who are elected by the people they represent. Not a perfect system, but with so many people and concerns, we don't have the majority overpowering the minority nor the minority overpowering the majority. If Bush were a dictator, wouldn't we rule the world already? Is it our fault if American culture spreads throughout the world? Do you like your technology, your electricity, your music? We don't have to be a dictator because America influences the world. And the world influences us. Either we become an active part of the global community, or we don't. We tried isolationism.. that didn't work, and nearly had Hitler controlling Europe and committing mass genocide. So now we are world affairs... whether you like it or not. To say Bush is a dictator would be removing any responsibility from other countries. They want our culture, our technology, our help... but they don't want our control.

For palettes, just use Paint Shop Pro. Copy your picture to a Rebellion template - a picture with Rebellion's palette - and PSP should convert it automatically. Makes excellant conversions, though may need tweaking by hand. Err.. if the blue isn't disappearing, make sure your corners are set to 255 blue, 0 red, 0 green... hopefully RebED will detected it and make it work. As far as I know, LEC had actual graphics designers do it to their specs. We don't have that kind of time or talent. I'd prefer comic style over real-people... just makes it more Star Wars-y and less fake. Yes, "fake" is a relative term, since its a game.. but unless we decide to render every image, comic book style is easier to keep uniform than real-people style.

Monsh, you can always add that name to your signature by going to your Profile and adding it there. Saves people from too much confusion

So Nem, is that better? Since your email still isn't working: 1) Do you want to help on the cards department for this TC? 2) Do you want to rejoin the staff here? Would love your help on these! We need some more veterans back. What have you been up to?
-
Yes, Stratus is running the server so its fine for our use as well.
-
A good idea. I'll have to find time to do this... I really don't have time for anything.
-
What do you want to be? Grand Admiral.. something still on the scale, or something totally not on the scale? Whatever you want, I can change it for you.
-
Recommend you use the Partial Installer to reinstall Rebellion back to its original settings, before you load settings into RebED.
-
Hey Nem - you're email bounced so I'll reply here: I haven't seen Eville at all, sorry man. Currently the_mask is having problems with his website. Hopefully I'll find time to host the models on our site. Until then, try and see if mask's site works.

How should he be removed then? The UN leaders ask him nicely to leave? You're right that the US isn't perfect. But we haven't deliberately commited mass genocide. If Saddam gets these weapons developed, he will use them to blackmail the Middle East as he did during the Gulf War. If the UN cannot use foresight and see this, then the US has no choice but to remove him. All this anti-American sentiment is sick. They are using this war as a political rallycry against the US, while not providing any solution to removing Saddam. If you saw the special on Saddam's older son, you'll recognize that this regime needs to be removed. 12 years he has defied the UN... 17 UN resolutions.. and 1 ceasefire agreement. So what would you do? Capitulate and let him win, furthering his efforts to create weapons, or removing him before he can dig in and surround his weapons by cilivians?

They can hit Israel though and every other country in the Middle East. Which means he can basically blackmail the entire world, because he can control the oil. Think about it: this is the majority of the world's oil supply. This means the cars you drive, the planes you fly: this affects the whole world. While they say all we care about is oil, it is something mostly everyone cares about because it affects everyone. And no, if we'd wanted all the oil by ourselves, we'd have taken it 12 years ago. Look at France more... they would rather appease this menace to protect their business interests rather than removing him. If he gets a nuke, he can just give it to Al-qaeda. With the recent reports stating a total lack of security at our borders, it is very likely that we could have a nuke exploded on our own terf. Al-qaeda showed they could do it, that nothing would stop them. If we cannot control our borders and stop the source of weapons, I fear that every free nation is in jeopardy.
