  1. OCC: Hey I haven't posted on here since about the first page, but I figured I'd hang around until I got an opening if anyone finds one by all means, please toss me in. Thanks
  2. Solla ordered herself a drink, she didn't want to impose on Josson and his group of other people so she ordered a drink to keep herself busy while looking over some specs of her ship. She'd be ready to go when they needed her.
  3. Sib climbed up the acess latter followed closly by Ulic, the room was practically pitch black. The group ventured in and Sib was first to find the door leading out. Twi'leks had improved vision in dark places and it was certinly a gift right about now. She opened the door it was only locked from the outside. She moved outside the room and the door entered into a large hallway. "I've got a bad feeling about this..." Ulic muttered as they walked into the hallway.
  4. "If they is one thing Skywalker deserves it's trust. Believe me I know him and he's one of the most trusting people I know. And he's not one to misplace trust or not give credit where it's due. And believe me the whole Jedi thing, total edge for piloting, trust me, I know, but the fact that unforced attunted pilots like Antillies and Celchu, just add to the fact that anyone could've done what Skywalker did. But the fact is Skywalker did it. End of story.
  5. Solla waved her hand, "No, I'm fine. If I've got to fly later I want to stay away from anything right now." She sat down at the bar next to Josson and waited. "So who are we meeting here?" she asked.
  6. Ulic took a swig from the bottle. "So you feel that any one pilot could've destroyed the Death Star I? I mean they're are plenty of great pilots out there but half of them I know wouldn't have made it as far as Skywalker. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those who worship Skywalker like a god, he's a nice guy though, but still I credit him with Palpatine's downfall. He blew that weapon out of the sky and lived to tell about it, not to mention giving the rest of the Rebellion a boost of confidence that aided in the rest of the major victories." Several of the other people looked at Ulic with surprise after breaking his long silence. He took another swig and set the bottle down.
  7. The battle wasn't kind to the already wounded Nova Dream and it sluggish lumbered back onto the Republic Envoy and nestled into it's docking bay. Ulic disembarked from the ship and got back to work on the ship. He wondered what had happened to some of the other ships but he'd have to find out later.
  8. A Corellian YT-2000 shot from the docking bay of the Republic's Envoy and flew straight into the fray. "Mind if I join the party?" said the pilot Ulic Horn. Severel bolts peppered space from the quad cannons as the pilot took shots at the fighters.
  9. Ulic sealed the half empty bottle, and grabbed a cup of cafe from the bar. If he had work to do later he wanted to be ready. He'd drank enough to make most people fairly drunk, but being Corellian he had an almost natural resistance. He listened to the back and forth about the Rebellion and its ships and he wondered how long any of the others had been in the Alliance. He could remember how long he had been, and he never really regretted it but sometimes he thoguht about taking a different path...
  10. Ulic sat up, "Well Sib filled me in, and I've got my blaster but the Imp's weren't nice enough to charge it for me. So unless you've got a plan I'm out of ideas." Sib was resting her bad leg on Ulic's cot and her Lekku were twitching, hopefully she was formulating a plan...
  11. Solla climbed on board her ship and went to work on the hyperdrive. It could use a complete over haul but she didn't have the time or money to do that. So she took out another toolkit, and slid under a floor panel and got to work. 2000, not to long but she could get a lot of work done until Lt. Josson showed up...
  12. Solla rolled the thought over in her mind. "Yes, sir. I'll be ready when you need me. I just need to finish a few more repairs. When do we leave?" She asked as she was backing towards the door...
  13. Solla had a bit of trouble unhooking herself from the hull but she finally got it and walked down to Josson's office. She was a bit neverious about the circumstances but she hurried anyway. She knocked and heard, "Come in, Solla." and she entered. "You..wanted to see me sir?"
  14. Ulic checked his wrist crono, still an hour left to kill. He waved the bartender down and purchased a bottle of Corellian Rum, he walked back over to the conversation and sat down. "I've got time left to kill but the only person I really want to talk to is the bottom of this bottle." he said as he opened it and took a swig.
  15. Solla Chi'dina was hanging upside down from the hull of her ship, a light modified frigate known as the, Twi'lek Pearl, making a few small repairs to the engines outside of the ship. She wasn't planning on sticking around to long and was hoping to have her repairs done shortly. She wasn't the best shot in the galaxy but she could fly circles around most other pilots, she had picked up a welder and started fusing a plate back to the hull when her comlink went off, she dropped the welder and it hit the floor of the docking bay. "Shoot," said sighing and activating her comlink, "You've got Solla."
  16. Ulic set his cup down on the small table. "Sorry, Karn, I'm not in much of a talking mood, I've got a lot going on right now and Blue boy over there," he said making a subtle head gesture towards Thrawn, "is making me a bit edgey. So maybe I'll get another drink and then head out." he said walking towards the bar.
  17. OCC: I can command, I wont be happy about it but I've done enough since the Hoth days to have probably established a command. If you need Ill be in the docking bay, hammering my ship with something blunt.
  18. OCC: No problem, my character has issues with high ranking Imperials. (if you couldn't tell yet) So I was just checking.
  19. OCC: Just for clarification, who was that last post too? Ulic sat at a table near Karn and Tython listening to them talk. He noticed the cantina was starting to fill up. "Maybe it's time I get outta here." He said.
  20. OCC: Just wondering if this story is planning on staying pre HTTE or if it would switch later. If not then I might alter the timeline a bit, just character wise, by introducing someone who shouldn't be here yet. Ulic Horn's ship, a YT-2000 known as The Nova Dream, sat docked on board the New Republic frighter the Revolution. It's owner was high atop the ship with a hydrospanner attempting to replace a pannel and and not doing as well as he wished. He'd stopped using the hydrospanner properly and had started hitting the panel lose. On board were by chance his only crew, a LE droid nicknamed Levon, an astromech dubbed "Watts" and by chance a silver protocol droid that Ulic had one via a game a chance...
  21. "No such luck, I was stunned most of my times in interogation. I caused a bit too much trouble." He shrugged. "So any ideas are good ones to me right now." He looked at Sib, "You had a plan getting in but not out?" Sib tried to kick him again but he saw it coming and moved out of the way. He was quick even looking that ragged and tired. His holster was missing and his gray jacket was looking pretty tattered...
  22. Ulic picked up his glass and put down a couple more credits. "Sharing a drink they call lonliness, still better than drinkin alone." He walked over and sat down.
  23. Sib sighed, "This is my fault." she said quietly. "I can get us out of this one." She stood up, "I'll distract them, try to get a jump on them." She walked quickly outside of the cell. "Freeze, what were you doing in there Twi'lek?" one troop asked. Sib hoped she could pull this off. "I'm a personal slave to the Admiral he arranged a "meeting" for us in a cell so we wouldn't be disturbed." One of the troopers caught what see had said and chuckled as he lightly tapped the other on the shoulder. "But he also overheard you two taking an unathorized break and asked me to request you move on immeaditly or be repremended." The troopers grumbled but moved on...
  24. Ulic raised his glass to the mention of a decent Corellian craft, and then ordered another drink.
  25. Sib cluched her wound and swore quickly and several times in her native tounge, Ryl. She assumed no one else spoke it but right now she didn't care. She pulled the bandages tighter around her wound and hoped the bleeding would stop. She started speaking again and had gotten out a few sentences when she realized she was still speaking in Ryl. "Sorry, old habits." she smiled weakly. They moved down the corridor and Sib limped a bit but shortly regained a normal walk. It wasn't long before they found Ulic's cell. They opened it up and Sib walked in. Sure enough Ulic Horn was lying on his back on a metal cot. "Ulie!" Sib said quietly and rushed over to him. "Sib!" Ulic said weakly. "I thought you'd show up. I just figured it'd be through interogation like me." he flashed a winning grin. Sib stood him up and then gave him a sharp kick to the leg. "DO you know what I went through to save you! I got shot! I don't get shot for just anyone!" She started shouting in Ryl again and Ulic rolled his eyes...
