Proparbly the most evil of defeats i suffered was a dumb mistake on my part. I was playing in the pre-njo era as the rebels against 3 expert ai imperials. Id happily been taking out everything with my beutifal fleet of 10 mc 90s and 3 of those big cruisers (the name will come back to me later). I'd been blowing up the first 2 ai and they didnt give me much of a challenge (couple of sd2s here and there), so i left the last ai for bout 10 mins..................bad mistake, they'd built their executor and an entire fleet of sd 3s and allegiance cruisers. I wasnt looking so smug then. Tis the last time i underestimate the ai.

On my game probarly already pointed out but the bridge on the executor just seems to be floatin above it. Kinda confusing and off puttin if ya know what a mean (this is the point where all of ya say 'no i dont understand what ya sayin').

Yeah i noticed that patern as well, especialy when being the rebels vs the imperials. I would have my mc-90 cruisers fighting imp star destroyers and then suddenly the star destroyers would practicaly annihilate my shield. On X-Wing alliance it use to take ages (like ya said) for even an imperial star destroyer to take down an mc 80

Also tell us what timeline (if you use 1, like dark empire) you are using. Generaly when i play it on ROTJ mode for the rebal alliance, for fighters i build X-Wings, Corvettes i build heavy correlian Gunships, Frigates i get a combination of MC 40s for the heavies and Nebulan Bs for the normals. When it comes to capitals the extra 2 grand for the liberty is well worth it. In this game you dont realy have to worry about the units such as cloaks and repair units. Hope i've roughly answered your question or sort of got an idea what you want to know.

While i too agree the music adds to the game expierience( its star wars ffs), unlike you i didn't find the music choppy. Hmmmm, maybe its just your computer and the fact that it takes up a lot of processing power.
