  1. Ebay, 600 bucks american.
  2. *looks around sheepishly* Yes, i do happen to have a complete Stormtrooper uniform.
  3. Oh, i recognized them. and you described the clawcraft wrong. They have four wings, not three. Unless i read it wrong, and i am mistaken.
  4. Ok, so the Slave II looked a a straight bar of metal with some tubes sticking out of it. BUT.... still not the answer i am looking for.
  5. Ah, but why did he end up going back to it? And no, the answer is not 'because the Slave I looked cooler'
  6. Its covered in a number of books actually. The real question is, do you know why Fett went from the Slave I, to the Slave II, and then back the the SlaveI?
  7. Mandalorian? The Firespray isnt Mandalorian. Its a Kuat built patrol ship. And the Slave I was specailly modified by Kuat for Fett. The Slave II was by a completely different corperation. Just thought you guys should know.
  8. ya know, thats why i fancy assualt transports while playing as the empire. they are cheep to build, easy to repair, and one of them can take on several squadrons of starfighters. Although when playing as the rebellion, the nebulon b and correlian gunships tend to wipe out more starfighters than my starfighters do.
  9. Ok, seriously, some one needs to clean this thread up. between all the stories posted in this thread alone, im getting them crisscrossed and confused.
  10. Although there is something to be said for the Scimitar assualt bomber. Who knows what would have happened if those had made it to mass production. Also, the Chiss clawcraft is something to be feared. Just the look of those things is cool. Then there was the Home built starfighter that Corran Horn flew in "I,Jedi." (i think that was the name of the book) That sucker could dance, In his words. Of course, who can remember the K-wing Assault bomber? That had ot be one of the ugliest ships in SW that i have ever seen. Not to mention on of the most obscure. It got mentioned twice in the Black fleet crisis, and never again.
  11. I couldnt remember any of the rules of aquisition, so i couldnt use any of them. That, and i was practically dead asleep as i was finish it, which is why it ended so quickly.
  12. Now, this is the first peice of writing i have done in a while, and i am very tired, so cut me some slack, i know it sucks. A strange negotiation. The lone cruiser coasted through space, its running lights blinking slowly. As it moved on its course, small freightors and fighters flew in and out of its hangerbays. At one point in its life, the cruiser would have been identifiable as an old dreadnaught. But after changing hands several times, and having been through more battles than any one ship should have been through, its look had changed. The center of the ship now housed a large canaverous hangerbay, which was constantly filled with a myriad of freighters and starfighters. The bridge, once at the front of the ship, was now nestled on top of the ship, near the front. The front of the ship, which some would have called a clam with an overbite, was now much more evened out, the upped decks of the ship having been pulled back. It also thinned out slowly at first, then more quickly, coming to a sudden point. At the very front oft the ship was the barrel of a single cannon. That cannon was the primary armament of the vessel. An old planetary Ion cannon, it was used to disable any vessel unlucky enough to become the prey of the captain. Which was nearly every vessel that this ship came across that the captian did not have in a specail registry. On the bridge, the crew of the old ship kept a constant vigil for any vessel appearing out of hyperspace. This was nto a very well traveled hyperspace corrider, but pirate bands and smuggles often used it for just that reason. Which was why the vessel was here to begin with. With a whirring sound, a small elevator raised up to the bridge, and off of ot stepped an small statured man, dressed in dark red armor. The mans face was heavily scarred, but his eyes seemed to have a hint of merriness to them. he smiled, seeing his crew hard at work. He stepped over to his command chair, and sat down slowly. He was getting old, and his crew knew it. Soon, he would retire, and he would hand command of this vessel over to someone else. At least, thats what the crew thought. The captain turned to one of the consoles on his chair, and then looked over to the sensory officer. "Anything to report, Erock?" he asked. The sensory officer turned to the captain, and shook his head. He was a younger Sullustan, but he had worked hs way up through the ranks quickly, and he had earned the respect of almost every person on the ship with his leadership of one of the freightors in the fleet. "No captain, none. Just a strange energy reading a ways off of our port bow, but no vessels." Erock turned back to his console, and checked it again. "The energy reading appeared just a few minutes ago, and seems to be growing slowly." The captain frowned at this. He didnt like things that were out of the ordinary, and sudden energyreading in this part of space were definetly in that catigory. And the fect that it was growing was even worse to him. But curiosity had always gotten the better of him, and this time it was no different. "Set course for the energy reading, and call in all vessels. If this is caused by the Imperials, we may need the extra firepower." The navigator, and eldery Twi'lek, nodded, and the vessel slowly tuned to port. The engines groaned as they powered up to full, and the ship began to move along its new heading. The Comm officer sent in the call back order, and soon the aging vessel was surrounded by nearly a dozen other smaller vessels, and close to two dozen starfighters. The captain sat in his chair, shifting as if the seat was uncomterable to him. Something wasnt right about this, and he knew it. A small voice in the back of his mind told him to trun around and leave, but another part told him to continue on. He shook his head to remove the voices. He rarely changed his orders, and now was not the time to do it. he looked out the main viewport, and was astounded at what he saw. In front of his ship was a massive energy storm, with a multitude of colors eminating from it. But in the center of it, he could sparsley make out what looked to be a small station. Or rather, what appeared to be a small station. the captain turned back to Erock, a strange look on his face. Sensors, how large is that station in the center of that thing? Erock looked hard at his console, then shook his head. "I have no idea captain. Sensors cant penetrate that deep into it. But i can give you a rough estimate of the size of the energy storm. It is around thirteen kilometers in diameter, and still growing." he said, disbelief in his voice. he tunred and looked to the captain, an hint of worry in his eyes. "Sir, at the rate it is growing, it will engulf us in less than three minutes." Upon hearing all of this new onformation, the captain raised his eyebrows. The station at the center of that storm had to be at least a kilometer in size. And he knew for a fact that there was no station in this part of space that large. If their were, he wouldhave found it already. "Is the energy lethal? Will it hurt us if we enter it?" he asked, and Erock shook his head. "No captain," he said, turning back to his console, "it wont hurt us. With shields raised, it should be just like ridint through a heavy solar storm. But I cant identify some of the energy. But it is only concentrated in minute amounts. I think we could make it through." The captain nodded, and then tapped a button oin his command chair. "Attention all vessels, this is the captain. We are going into that energy storm to have a look at the station in the center. I want all vesels to puch their sensors to the limits, and call out any other vessels that you see." He recieved a steady flow of acknowledgements from all of his ship, and then nodded slowly. "Helm, take us to that station, half speed. I dont want us to move to fast." His hlemsman nodded, and slowly his fleet of vessels moved into the storm. His ship jumped as they moved into it, but quickly began to move smoothly again. As they got closer to the station, he could begin making out the details of the station. It was saucer shaped, with large groups of spheres on the very top and bottom. While at first it looked to be smooth surfaced, he could soon tell that it was actually rough, as if it wasnt completed yet. There seemed to be several smaller objects surrounding it, but he could not tell if they were vessels, or other smaller stations. he had almost turned to Erock for an answer, when the small objects answered for themselves. They all suddenly tuned, and accellerated towards his fleet. The captian shot to his feet, and turned to his tactical officer. "Full alert, power up all weapons. Communications, order all other vessels to do the same." The tactical officer, nodded in acknowledgement, and bagan speaking into his headset. Suddenyl, klaxons blared all over the ship, and he knew his crew was headed to their appointed stations. he had trained them well, and he that in a few moments, his whole fleet would be ready for a fight. He looked back to the viewscreen, and was startled to see that the vessels had slowed down, and were coming to a stop. He suddenly realized thgat the largest of the vessels looked oddly like a maurader corvette, but different in a few aspects, not the least of which was the fact that the rear of the vessel that was approaching was much larger. Also, the head of the vessel was much wider, and ti seemed to come to a pair of point. The captain turned to his communications officer. " Order all vessels to a full stop, but tell them to be ready to attack." his comm officer nodded, and relayed the message. As he did so, he tuned back to the captian. "Sir, we are being hailed, audio only." The catpain nodded, and sat back down in his chair. "This is the captain of the independent warship Hunter. Indentify yourselves." he stated, and almost immedialty, a voice came over the bridge speaker system. "This si the captain of the Feregi cruiser Glory. Who are you, and what are you doing here?" the voice demanded. The captain smiled to himself. He recognized the voice of someone who was tryng to sound tough, but in reality would rather not be be in this situation. But he had never heard of any race called the Ferengi before. But it was a large galaxy, so anything was possible. The captain leaned back in his chair, and folded his hands behind his head. "We were in the area, and noticed this energy storm, so we decided to investigate. Upon investigating, we found you. So tell me, what are you doing exactly?" he asked. he waited for a moment, and then a moment longer, and when he didnt receive any responce, he spoke again. "Well?" he asked, inserting just enough authority into his voice to try and compell an answer. "That is none of your business. You are hereby ordered to leave this region of space, immediatly." the voice responded, a slight quiver of fear hidden in it. The captain sat up in his chair, and scowled. If there was one thing he hated, it ws being ordered around by someone he didnt know. "Make me." the captain replied, and he slowly stood up. He clasped his hands behind his back, and smiled slowly. "I dare you to make me leave." he said, a slight twinkle in his eyes. He was willing to bet his whole fleet that the captian of the other vessel would not even dare such a thing. The larger vessel he faced may have been bigger than his, but his ion cannon was pointedly directly at it. And the rest of his forces had more than enough firepower to deal with the several smaller vessels the faced. After a few moments of silence, the other voice came back, this time, fear was evident in it. "What? How dare you!! You are ordered to leave immediatly, or we will be forced to make you leave!!" the voice said, but the captain just shook his head. he slowly tuned to his Weapons officer, and nodded. The weapons officer, turned to his controls, and suddnely the bridge was filled with the hum of the ion cannon powering up to fire. The weapons officer tunred to the captain, and nodded his head. Suddenly, the voice came back over the intercom. "What are you doing? Why are you powering up your weapons?" the voice asked, fear evident even to a deaf man. the captain smiled, and sat back down. He chuckled, and shook his head. "I am powering up my main gun, and I intend on firing it at you unless you tell me exactly what you are dong here. You have thirty seconds to reply." he said. The captain held up his hand, and began to raise his fingers one by one, slowly counting the seconds. before the fourth second had gone by, the voice came back. "We were experimenting with a new form of energy we had discovered, trying to utilize in it the power core of our station. But, it had a very strange side affect, the storm that you detected. And we cannot get it to stop groing. Would we be able to negotiate for your help in stopping it?" the voice asked, in a subdued tone. The captian lowered his hand, and looked to the station in the distance. This was getting to be very interesting. "So,you are telling me that that station is causing this energy storm. Thats quite a side affect of testing a new power core." he said, then touched his fingers to his chin for a moment. He suddenly smiled again, and chuckled. "Tell me, do you have any people abord the station as of right now?" he asked the other vessels captain. he know knew how he would 'help' them. "Yes we do, a small skeleton crew that stayed behind as the energy storm began. But everyone else abandoned the station, and is now aboard our vessels. So you are saying you will help us? What do you wish in return?" the voice asked. The captain thought about this for a moment, and then shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing. I will do this out of good will towards another captain." he stated, and he then turned to his helm officer. "Set course for that station again. Get us into firing range. Weapons," he said, and he turned towrds his weapons officer'" target that station with all our forward waponary. Hit it with the cannon first, then the turbolasers. And order all our outher ships to do the same." he said, and he leaned back in his chair again. Suddenly, the voice came back over the speaker system, alarm most evident. "What are you doing?" the voice asked, panick overriding every other part of the voice. "Why is you fleet powering up weapons?" the voices cryed, and the captain simply laughed. he stood up, and placed his hands upon his hips. "Why, we are helping you of course. By detroying the station, i think we can end the storm. And, i can teach you a lesson about ordering me around. And even better, i will rid oyu of some of your workers, and by doing that, you save resources. its a win win situation for you." he said, and he looked over to his comm ofiicer. he made a throat slitting motion with his had, and the comm officer ended the conversation before the other captain could reply. The captian watched as his vessel sailed past the other, and he felt the deck beneath his feet rumble and the ship accellerated to attack speed. the captain sat back down, and looked at one of the screens on his chair. He noted that the alian vessels were turning to follow him, but he knew it would be to little, to late. he looked back at the maind viewport just in time to see some of his fighters begin to attack the station. They raked the stations shiled with laserfire, and a few fired torpedoes at it. The sheilding around the staion flared, but held strong. But he captain knew that they wouldnt last with what was about to happen. Within moments, the fightere scattered, and the deck of his ship rumbled with the firing of the ion cannon, and the sigle shot hit the station dead center. right on cue, the turbolasers on this ship, and the weaponary on his support vessels opened up, and raked the staion with fire. Within moments, the station began to tear itself apart with explosions, and the captain smiled. The captain looked back down to his small sensor screen, then snapped his head back over to Erock. "Where did those other vessels go?" he asked, but Erock just shook his head. The captain looked back out his main viewport, and saw that the energy storm was slowly fading away, and the station was still beng shaken by internal explasions. Soon, the station was dead in space, and the energy storm had vanished completely. The captain looked to his comm officer, and nodded his head. the officer orderedall ships to stand dwon immediatly, and await further orders. The captain looked back to Erock, and frowned. "Do you have any idea where those vessles went? Did they jump to hyperspace?" he asked, a slight hint of anger in his voice. Erock simply looked back to him, an odd look in his eyes. "One second they were following us, the next second, they are gone. If they jumped to hyperspace, they did it without the sensors picking it up." he said, and he then turned back to his console. the captain looked at him for a moment longer, then tunredn back to the viewport. he sighed, and shrugged his shoulders. "Order the recovery vehicles out, and tell them to pick that staion apart for anything that is of use. Once they are done, we will vape what is left of it, and be on our way." the catain said, and he got up from his seat, and started walking back to the elevator. As he got their, and helm officer looke at him, and asked, "Where will we be haeding after this sir?" The captain thought about it for a moment, and then sighed. "Somewhere pleasent. I think after today, we all need a vacation." he said, and he then activated the lift, and sank from view. The helm officer, nodded, and tunred back to his console. he agreedwith the captain, that this day had been rather odd. Between that energy storm, the alian vessels, and teh captain sodd negotiaions skills, he belived everybody needed some time to relax.
  13. I cant remember. I deleted the game to make room for a new one. i quit paying attention to the days when it rolled past 9 thousand or so.
  14. The E-wing was introduced in the Dark Empire Comic series. It got numerous mentions in the books following that, but never had a lot told about it. In all reality,I think the E-wing could take apart an X-wing. It was slightly more manueverable, and while it only had three laser cannons, they were turbo charged for more damage. They also carried a much larger payload of torpedoes, 12 if remember. But they werent built to replace the X-wing, they were built to replace the Y-wing as a heavy attack bomber.
  15. Wow, I am going to have to take a shot at this. i used to write a lot, but it has been a while for me. Gimme a copuple days, and i think i can come up with something. But good stories, all around!!
  16. it doess seem to be random for me. No matter how many fighters i have, that blasted trench run disease can gets about half the time.
  17. I dunno, sometimes to fight the empire, you have to fight like the empire. i have leveled planets mreo than once as the rebellion. Although a thought just crossed my mind. I wonder how many planets you could destroy with the deathstar before you no longer have the resouces to maintain it? Im think galaxy wide destruction here.
  18. In the upper thousands somewhere. Imagine playing the game an hour a day, four to five days a week, with the speed set as fast as possible for two years.
  19. Two or three thousand worth in books and comics alone. I dont even want to think about how much all my micro machines cost me. And I still intend on getting them all back. One way or the other.
  20. Very nice story. its going to be interesing to see how it all ends.
  21. Not SSD, SD II 84. If the empire had managed to build 84 SSDs, i would have given up a long time ago. But yah, its still not pretty.
  22. Well, after an eight hour session, I think its time to give up. My largest fleet got ground into dust, and I lost my headquarters. I think its game over for me now. Although this was definetly the most challenging game i have ever played. On a side note, i just started a new game, and managed to beat the game in 100 days flat. I lucked out with my starting ships as the rebellion, and managed to catch vader, the emperor, and curuscant with their pants down. Kind of annoying, considering how long my last game lasted.
  23. Not really. I just happen to be a big fan. that, and when i was younger, had nothing better to spend my money on.
  24. Defenders cant pump out torpedoes? You sure about that?
  25. One thing i would like to see is a command to self destruct a ship. If its obvious you are going to loase a ship, just park inbetween two or three of their vessels, and self destruct, doing damge to all ships in a small area.
