  1. I like to have 3 to 4 construction yards in every sector. I like to defend them with three shield generators and one LNR or KDY V-150. If playing the computer, if one shield generator goes down your planet is still protected. You will have time to replace before the computer sends in ships to see if he can capture a weak planet. I also try to have three troop facilities on a planet per every other sector. As far as shipyards go, I try to have 6 or 7 on Coruscant if playing the Empire or the same for the Rebel headquarters. I am playing a large galaxy now as the Empire and my largest shipyard is located on Coruscant with 6 shipyards. On Uvena, I have 1 shipyard. Its task is to supply fighters to Coruscant. Coruscant supplys the big ships for the battles ahead. Next largest shipyard site has only three shipyards located three sectors away. It doesn't serve much of a purpose. The main hub is Coruscant. That is where my protection is needed most. If I capture a whole sector, I normally destroy all shipyards in the sector if playing the computer. I wouldn't recommend that if playing a human. As troopers go, I put 6 to 9 Stormtroopers or Darktroopers per planet until I capture the whole sector. Once I have a whole sector, I will go down to 3 troopers and 1 Imperial Army regiment or 6 Sullustan and 1 Army regiment. I normally have three to four fleets with the fourth fleet the weakest. I use it to take over planets on the outer rim. The first fleet which is pretty strong guards the headquarters. the second fleet which is my strongest is attacking enemy strongholds. The 3rd fleet is used for hit n run tactics. All of this changes if playing a human, because u can't predict their moves or intentions. Normally if I play the alliance, at first I will have 2 Dreadnaughts, 4 Nebulon-B Frigate, 2 Corellian gunships, 4 Escort carriers, and 4 Corvette. Mid-way thru game add 3 Mon Calamari and 2 more carriers, plus your CC-7700 Frigate. Towards the end my fleet will look something like this. 2 Dreadnaughts, 1 Cruiser, 4 Assault Frigate, 2 Bulwark Battlecruisers, 1 CC-7700 Frigate, 2 CC-9600 Frigate, 4 Corvette, 2 Gunships, 3 Dauntless, 3 Liberators, 2 Mon Calamari, 3 Nebulon-B, 7 Carriers. + over 130 fighter squadrans. Let the Empire shake as your fleet moves on.

  3. I just let my big ships go in and fight it out. My smaller ships, I sometimes use the tactics with if I don't have many fighters to take out. I will send them out on a left flank attack or right flank attack.
  4. Thanks for the reply Mad78. Right now I am playing a game of rebellion on the hardest level. I started out the game as the Empire and had the best ships, all of a sudden the rebels were advancing faster than I was. My fleet was starting to get the upperhand and a diaster on Unmgul took me back a few notches. Now there isn't a lot of resources on the planet and it's not worth putting shield generators up because of low resources. So the planet is up for grabs if the rebels decide to take it. I hate the natural diasters and I hope if there is a second Rebellion they make this an option to check. thanks again Mad78...........
  5. I will agree on the structure and outfitting but I saw some firing from the Death Star when Lando was making his run heading inside the DS. I also will mention that I thought the Emperor told Luke that the station was fully operational. He could have been talking about the death ray.
  6. Hi darth_ramoth did you ever find a answer to your question? I would have been quessing in the late 70's.
  7. Cain Vader sensed Luke on Endor. When Luke surrendered to Vader, he said he was by himself but Vader sent troopers to go hunt the Rebels. Also Han and bunch ran into a trap that Vader set when they first tried to blow up the shield generator. As far as Vader being everywhere in the galaxy. He would be where he is needed most. He seemed to be everywhere in all the SW movies so far.
  8. My favorite CD is Mortal Combat. Any Song will do. If I am sad I listen to the Vengaboys(The Vengabus). It lifts my spirits. If I am in a destructive mood Mortal Combat or Killer Instinct cd is for me. My favorite song of all time is Devo(Whip it). A good dance song is 100% Pure Love by Crystal Waters or Get Ready for this by 2Unlimited. I also listen to the oldies plus the King(Elvis).........................
  9. Thanks for the reply guys and the welcome. I just wished I knew about this sight years ago. It is a cool sight. Some of you know me from the old Zone, I used to visit alot before they got too weird. Ever since I first started playing Rebellion, I can't put it down. I may stop playing for awhile but I will feel the urge and start again. Thanks again from a new member........................... Yeah... we're pretty weird here too...
  10. I agree with Stellar_Magic. I also thought of this Cain after reading what u have written. Darth Vader would sense that ST vessels were approaching and have his fleet ready. Fighter ships at the ready. If anyone was about to teleport or bombs teleporting, he would sense this disturbance and choke the teleporter or use mind control to make them blow up there own ship. If you remember from Empire Strikes Back he was able to choke one of his generals from space. The general was on Hoth. If a bunch of kids can take over the Enterprise, imagine what Vader could do with the force. I also think the fighter ships would be an advantage because Vader would send them on suicide missons. He would sacrifice a 100 just to take out one ship. I don't think the phaser man could keep up with this many attacks. This would be a good stellar battle and worth seeing the outcome.
  11. To know which are better you have to watch Star Wars of course. You will see the Corvette running from the Imperial Star Destroyer. I thought what an awesome ship. Later on when you see the Death Star and saw the fire power to be able to destroy a planet. Now that's what I call a ship. I Don't think the Borg could withstand the might of the Imperial ships. The only people that might be able to put up a fight would be the Klingons or Romulans. The cloaking capability would help in a fight. Another thing too ST doesn't have any fighter ships(unless you count the runabouts). The Tie fighters sound more menacing than the Klingon Warbird. Without the fighter capability you could wipe out any ship before it approached.
  12. Does anyone know how to turn off the natural disasters? I hate building up my fleets and having to take them away because of resources. If they make another game of this they should make it where your items on planet be destroyed but can be replaced over time. This means you don't lose energy after every disaster but you will have to replace lost items like shields, mines, refineries, and etc.
