  1. No my friend. I do not speak of experience (THANK GOD!) but I'm pretty sure that you can also buy crack as a small solid "stone" which you can then smoke through a pipe. In the end doesn't really matter, I was just quoting some Family Guy
  2. The main things which have stopped me really getting into MMORPGs are as follows: 1) Monthly Subscriptions: I thoroughly hate the concept. I don't want to buy a game and then have to continue paying to play. Especially if I end up not liking it. 2) The time it takes to get up in levels. Too many times have i tried a free MMORPG only to get quickly bored because I was constantly asked to kill so many monsters of a certain kind. I get the fact that you can't expect to have level ups all the time and that these games aren't for the casual player but still. In the end its that. The games aren't for a casual player. Its rather hard to pick one up and play it for a bit and then give it up. They expect you to play it ALL THE FREAKING TIME! Still I hope that SW:TOR will take an approach similar to Guild Wars in which case I may pick it up and play it for a bit. Otherwise for non-MMORPGs, I repicked up BF2 today but realised that I've gotten a little rusty and just remember how long it took me to be able to survive long enough to score a frag. Though I must say Battlefield Heroes is much better for that kind of thing and actually, in the end, nearly more fun to play.
  3. A small attempt to revive this part of the forum. What online games do you play and what type do you prefer. I don't really play MMORPGs, don't have the patience. I've been playing Battlefield 2 for quite some time but recently I picked up the free game Battlefield Heroes which I must say is highly entertaining and recommendable. My main question actually is, has anyone ever played Eve Online. I have always been intrigued by that game and was wonder how it is-
  4. Core if Reb doesn't work on 7 then that will really be the end of the game.
  5. I can imagine the conversation that happened afterwards: Owner: But why do you perticularly want to eat shark fin's soup? Crazy Lady: I don't know. Owner: How can you not know? Crazy Lady: I just smoked a whole bunch of crack!
  6. Very interessting stuff E. Thanks for posting it. I'm currently enjoying the game Call of Duty. Its amazingly good at making you feel involved in the battle and so well put together that you wouldn't actually realise that its an entirely scripted game. I highly recommend it!
  7. I honestly believe you would be better off to just buy a two-buttoned mouse. They aren't expensive and you won't regret it. BTW is it a laptop or desktop?
  8. Hard to say. Since I haven't played any new games recently but I guess I would have to say: Empire at War Return to Castle Wolfenstein (I reistalled it recently and really enjoyed it) Prey (too short but compelling storyline) Dawn of War series (I would love to include DoW 2 since i have it, but sadly i can't play it... S***!!!)
  9. Good job! If you need help with the project just ask!
  10. I posted. At least we will have tried.
  11. Good to hear you are enjoying college Tofu! Well I never tried Solid Edge but I don't think I ever will. I'm not a big fan of CAD programs in general (with the exception of SketchUp Pro). For the kind of modelling I usually do they are far to complicated. But still, I may give it a try one of these days.
  12. Waow!!! Looks pretty good. but I'm surious how its all implemented. Will it be a casual games's game or something like WoW. Either way i may give it a try after having upgraded my current pc.
  13. Read this for a history of the series I just finished the game. i was rather amzed at how easy the final boss was. Probably one of the easiest in the game. All in all the game was most enjoyable and should be played by anyone who likes FPSs.
  14. I may need to try that game. Recently I have gotten back into Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I had forgotten how fun that game is. Now i can't wait to get the Venom weapon!
  15. You can't disappear Tofu! We need you here.
  16. Good old guild. Not my favorite online series but it still has something that others don't. Id on't know how to qualify [urlurl=http://arkai.myminicity.com/]this site[/url]. Its not interactive enough to be a game and yet it isn't just a site... You basically create a city and the growth depends on the amount of clicks.
  17. Its true there would be alot of revamping to be done but just look at FreeCiv and FreeOrion... They're doing okay and yet their graphics are no better. We should try using a powerful weapon: Wikipedia
  18. Lucky man!
  19. It seems that the real life has claimed them as there own. Its a real pity since it has taken part of the fun out of the forum... Tofu has been trying to compensate but not really succeeding.
  20. Is it on PC or Console?
  21. Pretty nice selection. I have to get back to KOTOR one of these days. Yesterday I finished Prey. In the end i can say its a good game. The plot is very interesting and I really liked the way they treated the American Indian theme. What I didn't like was how the short the story is and the rather small amount of action. Because in the end you don't actually have that many fights and the fights aren't that challenging. So in the end if you want to play it just try and get it in the bargain bin like I did.
  22. Which mods are those, Xan? I remember being very fond of a mod for KOTOR 2 which allowed you to skip the boring first few hours.
  23. I recently started playing Prey. Pretty decent FPS i must say even if it really doesn't bring anything new to the genre. I still prefer Quake 4.
  24. Cool that means I will have to check out the movie. It looked already rather tempting when I saw the trailers. I saw Brüno the other day... All i can say it that I didn't think it was possible to go further than Borat did and yet Sasha Baron Cohen did. Just thought I'd warn you guys.
  25. As things stand I have still to decide to which Uni I will be going. I spotted a nice one in Melbourne and one that doesn't look too bad in London but I still need to check a few other countries.
