  1. TO be expected but i think i see what you mean. Have the same thing over here... But with less cash.
  2. Okay... Well what other lost souls haven't been reporting in recently ***gazes at empty forum***.
  3. I see. Its basically like Google SketchUp. I could understand that it would be very good for plans and technical drawings but much less adapted for the more "freestyle" creations. Good luck man! You need to give 3ds max a try one of these days.
  4. SO you are the guys people have to talk to if they want to organise a massive rave on the campus.
  5. What do you normally allocate the money to?
  6. Looking pretty good for the moment. I would recommend you try and reduce the amount of different pieces. Though I must say I don't fully understand the modelling method of your program. Could you enlighten me?
  7. I don't think the helmet sould be that hard. Just think of it as a cone with a half-sphere on top.
  8. FINALLY! TFU on PC! I just hope that they will take time to upgrade the graphics rather than just making a straight port.
  9. Try just making the ouline and leaving an empty hole for the moment. You can add the eye covers later by using an edited mesh or plane.
  10. I personally would do by polygon modeling, starting from a small plane at the cheekbone and extruding its sides to in the end cover a whole side of the face. But I'm not a connaisseur of SolidEdge so I can't really tell how intuitive that technique would be. In any case that is a very good start. Have you got good reference pictures?
  11. Seeing as its based on the last CGI film it is surely a kids game. I wouldn't expect it to be brilliant. Then again i haven't played it so I am not very apt to juge.
  12. Nice to see you back Mitth. Long time no see.
  13. Double post to quickly talk about a few movies I saw in the last few days. The Black Cauldron: I kind of remembered hearing of this movie when i was in primary school but its only now that I finally got to see it. I must say i was rather disappointed for a disney. The movie had the perfect ingredients: a young heroic wannabe knight, a maiden, a very evil wizard, ... And yet it just felt shallow. I don't really know what it was but it all seemed rushed and unfinished. Maybe they just bit of more than they could chew and spat it out half-finished but I think the span of the story would have allowed two films and maybe also a more interesting epic. Citizen Kane: The name says it all. Voted several times best movie of all times I can, now that I've seen it, fully agree. Its perfect balance between humor and drama, the amazing photography, brilliant acting,... You can't describe Citizen Kane. You just NEED to see it. Star Trek (2009): I heard alot about this and was really waiting to see it. Now I have and I can only say one thing: I LOVED IT! At last a Star Trek movie which can appeal to the masses and isn't a side product off one the multiple series. The movie manages to catch the essence of what was good in ST and present it in a brilliant form along with good acting and effects. Alot of the things I liked were actually little details such as the presence of turrets on the ships. At last the audience could actually see where phasers were coming from instead of just seeing a laser appearing out of nowhere on the hull. I also liked the general overhaul of the look of the ships. They feel right and much less "it needs to look modern without it costing money". All in all a brilliant movie and one i woiuld recommend to anyone. The Mad: I noticed this little film while surfing about Wikipedia and decided to give it a look. The premise is a Zombie invasion due to bad meat. Strange, i agree. But you don't watch this movie for a story but for the most amusing acts of the main cast which included Billy Zane. I won't say much more. this is an amusing horror comedy which is quite worth a rent if you looking for a good laugh and a bit of originality in the Z-movie genre.
  14. ... I actually really want to see that movie now! Tarantino is one of these directors you have to be able to tolerate. And I tend to love his stuff!
  15. That was absolutely brilliant! Good find Tofu!
  16. Most impressive. Makes me think that mys theater group is going to be producing the Sound of Music soon. EDIT: Speaking of musicals. I was asked by some friend to remix a track from their production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Enjoy!
  17. Much less romantic to just open a can of pancakes. I noticed the greatest flaw in their machine is that it runs on Windows
  18. Bloody Kayne West. He has maybe one good song and yet he is so pompous! In the words of Barrack Obama: "He's a jackass."
  19. I've always been tempted but isn't it expensive? I've tried something equivalent called Laser Game. Which is also a load of fun.
  20. Well Ogame is pretty much like that too. But since they upgrade the interface quite often it may have passed to flash since the last time i played.
  21. Btw Bud, I have a Rapidshare Premium account so I can host the files for you if you wish.
  22. Indeed the original balancing is very good. Most of the mods which have been made are simply tweaks which don't really change the balance but make the AI more efficient when playing in single player. But if you just wanna play multi just go for a fresh install
  23. Is it pretty much like Ogame?
  24. Whats that supposed to mean?
