Hey, welcome back AA. It's been awhile. I've missed reading your 60 Standard Minutes, they were all great! It looks like you've got a lot of catching up to do, so I'll wait patiently for the new segment of 60 Standard Minutes (but don't take too long )

It seems I'm not that popular on google Of course, I'm actually surprised I got that many
-
Hehe, looks like I've been registered since 2002 . I've made a post and will add more if I have to (which I probably will)

I've reset my account as well. My army was just growing too fast and I didn't have enough defense to stop higher players from taking my gold. This time, I'm going to try an offensive strategy and keep my army as small as possible. After 1 day, my attack is already over 2k . It's amazing how much gold you can make by attacking others Because I'm trying to keep a small army, I'd like to ask you guys to NOT click my recruiting link anymore. Evaders, maybe you can remove my link for now. I've got enough soldiers to start and I'm getting 5 per day from production. I don't really want anymore. This time I'm going quality over quantity Thanks, Ma'w'shiye

Don't worry, GAT, I'm kind of turtling myself. Over 200,000 defensive rating last I looked and haven't been attacked in over 1 week (with one exception who did about 2k damage and I dealt over 20k back , suffice it to say he lost ) The one problem I have noticed is that it's very hard for me to find someone to attack (successfully) for decent amounts of cash
-
I've had 4 people attack me total. Since then I've pumped up my defensive rating and haven't been attacked since I find the same problem you have GAT when trying to find someone to attack. Either they have strong friends or don't have any money. It's kind of frustrating

I'm another one of Mad's officers Here's my link

You guys should have waited a year before starting this discussion, then. That way I'd have known all of that (I'm starting my first year at university next fall And don't ask what I'm planning on taking I have no clue ) Mad: That is an interesting thought. Although you can't feel your "mass", only your "weight", which is dependent on gravity and other forces being exerted on you (which is why pilots feel heavier and blackout when pulling tight maneuvers). But, still, your mass would be huge (and I'm not going to calculate that either because I'm lazy, too) Maybe I should try going at the speed of light. I might actually gain some weight
-
AdmiralFishFace, thanks for clarifying those things up for me. I have never heard that mass increaes with speed, so it makes more sense as to why the speed of light is impossible to reach. I'm going to have to have a little talk with my physics teacher and ask him why he idn't happen to mention any of this stuff. I knew that you would need a long distance in which to accelerate objects, but with the incorporation of increasing mass, that distance and force required gets huge The other thing I forgot in my rant was how they measured the speed of light. They timed how long it took to travel a certain distance, so their odds of being drastically wrong are negligible. In your one post you have taught me more about physics than my teacher has all year , sad, isn't it. Now I go to hang my head in shame over being wrong
-
Many have been saying that it is impossible to travel faster than the speed of light. Do we, and scientists, forget that atomic particles are already traveling at or very near to the speed of light? And isn't light made up of tiny particles called photons. Don't these photons travel at the speed of light? (maybe thats where they got the name "speed of light"? ) If this is the case then it should be possible to accelerate these already existing particles above the threshold that they have now set? Also, by my understanding of physics, there is no limitation to speed so long as you manage to maintain positive acceleration. This is achieved by aplying greater force to accelerate an object than is being applied to slow it down (gravity or friction). So then what is there that stops an object from achieving this velocity? Another thing, motion, and therefore velocity, can only be measured in realation to other motion. For us, velocity is measured in relation to the earth. Therefore the speed of light is measured as being the speed attainable in relation to our planet or solar system. We exclude the possible and proven motion of our galaxy compared to other galaxies. Then, in relation to other galaxies, the speed of light becomes greater or less depending on what you relate it to. By this theory, named the Theory of Relativity, would mean that there would be no limit to the "velocity" of an object or even that of light. I find it strange that we place a limit on the speed that an object can be moving when the speed that we set as a limit is the speed that is being traveled by already existing particles. Sound confusing? That's the beauty of physics. Nothing is ever cut and dry. Physics is based mostly on theories based on facts that can only be proven with our current technology (and in many cases that technology is centuries old). I've said a lot and yet have said only a tiny bit of what I set out to say originally, but cannot find the words to say it. Oh well, I've given you guys enough to try to interpret. PS It's been a while since I've really read or posted in these forums. I've missed it so much. Time to try and change that

When I play the AI, I find that all I need is one LNR. So long as I can prevent it from being sabotaged, the AI never even bothers blockading the planet, let alone bombard it or invade

Another thing that I want to point out is that before the clones, the Old Republic didn't have an army. They merely had the jedi. I think that the clones were merely a stepping stone toward the beginnings of a fullscale military machine. I think that the clones were merely used to hold off the droids and as shock troops. They were the elite warriors that were the backbone of the Old Republic army, but they weren't the only ones to do the fighting. Maybe we'll get a better answer to these questions after ep. III comes out.
-
Everyone has been making points and countering others. Here's how I think it's broken down: All officers and commanders would have to be recruits. The clones are bred to follow orders and it wouldn't do to have a brainless clone trying to organise a battle. By the time of ANH, there would still have been many thousands, maybe even millions of clone troopers. The ones we see in the movies (especially the ones on Tatooine) were probably just recruits. I mean, why would you have your elite troops guarding TATOOINE!! The fact that they wear stormtrooper armor doesn't mean that they're actual stormtroopers. If the stormtroopers wear top of the line armor that can be produced in only a few hours, why not outfit your whole fighting force with it? I think that the "real" stormtroopers would only be used to invade and defend important installations like the Death Star and Coruscant. The general troops would just be recruits with maybe one or two clones to provide the skill and examples to live up to. And of course, I have to agree with the fact that just because the stormtroopers miss all the time doesn't mean that they're not clones. I have to agree with Jahled. The stormtroopers are probably just as good as the clone troops from episode II. Remember, in IV, V, and VI, they were the bad guys and the bad guys never win and in II, they were the good guys, so obviously they are going seem better. I think the one thing that many people are forgetting is that they are MOVIES. They exaggerate. It just looks better if 50 clones take on a thousand droids and win. We can't take everything that we see in the movies as "real". Clones were used in ANH, and probably the other 2 originals as well. We will never know for sure unless GL comes here personally and TELLS us.(like that's gonna happen... ) Wow, I never thought I could type so much about a fictional story

There's another Star Wars mod called FreeWorlds. It has 10 systems and is really good. The new version is really well balanced. The only problem is that it's MP only and you need to work together to make good money.

I use a pc and an old, old, old NES AdmiralFishface, I think I can beat you for the crappiest computer. I still have a 333MHz processor, with 3.3 GB hd. It's even running Windows 98!I am now the master of crappy computers!!!!!! Mwahahahaha!!!!

It's the best of the GTA series! Vice City was good, but there were too many cops. San Andreas has cops, but you can actually do stuff before you get them after you. You can run over dozens of pedestrians and barely even anger the police
-
That's actually quite difficult. I managed to get to the 5th level. The hint said something about checking the source code. I have no clue how to do that. I found the hints for the first 4 were quite good and helpful.

This TC sounds intrigueing. Maybe instead of increasing the costs, maybe you should power down the Raporan ships They sound completely unbeatable right now. Are the Rapora in place of the Rebels, or the Empire?
-
I belive it is >6 (that's greater than 6 for those of you that flunked math......just kidding ).

Has anyone else had any trouble accessing lancersreactor.com? I want to download the star wars mod for Freelancer , but I keep getting a "504 Gateway Timout" error. Is this just me, or is their site down? I've been trying for days and it's really annoying me.
-
It better come out soon or I'm going to have pulled all my hair out. Of course it's about time I changed I my hairstyle. Do you think premature bald would look good?
-
Does anyone have any idea when the demo will be coming out? I don't want to buy the game only to find out that I cant play it. I know I'm gonna love it, but I just don't know if it'll run.

The original Super Mario Bros. is the best. I still have my NES hooked up(and it works, too!!). Every once in a while I just have to turn it on and start playing. No matter how many other game systems that have come out, I think the NES is still the best. Sure it may not have the best graphics or the most complex of games, but the games were still the best and I think it was good because it was so simple. You didn't have to memorize 4 button combinations just to jump. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but you get my point. My favourite NES game besides the Super Mario Bros. games is Guerilla War. There is no way that you cant complete it, but it's just fun to play.

I've been getting help from Compaq and I think I've finally fixed the problem. So far I've updated my BIOS and got an updated sound driver. None of that worked. Finally they suggested that I reduce my audio acceleration settings. I think that that solved the problem. I was able to play over 2 hours without losing sound once!! Now I think I will be able to get through the campaign again without having to redo parts because I lost the sound in cinematics and story missions. You really have no idea how annoying it is to fight the Rheinland fleet over and over and over... and over again. I swear, the first time I went through the campaign it took me over 10 tries to get through it and get to the next autosave so I could move on and have an idea of what I'm actually doing. Other than this little problem, the game is awesome!!!
