At the top of your screen there are 3 boxes the one on the left is unrefined materials the middle is refined materials the right is maintenence points. Your mines mine material and the refineries refine it. everything cost a certain amount of refined materials to build along with a certain amount of points Example: if it takes you 10 days to build a capital ship and you don't have the refined materials the build time will be longer because your shipyard has to wait for the refined materials to become available so the ship that should have taken 10 days may end up taking 16 18 or maybe 20 days to build. when you scrap something you get those refined material back so if you assault a planet and scrap what it has you get the refined materials back because at the time you scrapped it it belonged to you. It does not matter if the planet these items are on is in uprising or not. As to my original question how to increase those refined materials would keeping 10 or 15 more refineries than mines at all times get them quicker or do the mines take their sweet time in doing their job so if that was the case the extra refineries do squat if they don't have any materials to refine. Looking for ideas. Any and all suggestions welcome

When your refined materials indicator is at 0 as we all know your building speed comes to a crawl. Any suggestions on increasing this number. Assault and scrap works but lately i have been playing egzuki_disdira and he is pretty damn good about his internal espionage and trying to sneak a ship in on his sectors can sometimes be impossible. i have scrapped everything I possibly can to give me back those refined materials and I build a lot of troops defences and ships but the build rate is a crawl. Any suggestion or am I simply stuck and need to wait it out

i mean where your opponent is doing diplomacy missions. Since traitors are usually well into the game that means one of the rim sectors and if a message comes back that you foiled a diplomacy mission and you know damn well your not even in the area then your opponent has a traitor and you now know where he/she was attempting to do diplomacy. Theres a chance that if they had one diplomat there they might have another or perhaps they have more in that sector such as a secret construction yard or shipyard outpost. In any case its worth checking out to see just what they find so interesting there.

If you foil a mission such as diplomacy or research and you are not even in that sector it means that the character that was foiled is a traitor. They don't tell you who it is but it tells you where your enemy is dipping at the time or where they may have multiple facilities

Ok forget the cash prize bad idea LOL Anyway the medal idea seems good As far as sides I'm an imperial player but play both sides just not very well sometimes. Dudanation can tell you that. I was rebels and he crucified me in under 300 days but I am still practising with them.

A monthly tournament sounds great the only tough part will be the time zones we're in but hey i get 2 days a week off and on those days i can be around just about anytime as far as a prize goes we could all chip in a couple of bucks and in the end first place could be a $25 prize and maybe a page on this site listing the monthly winner maybe his pic and some comments about the tournie maybe even a gaming story or 2. we could choose someone we send the money to to hold and they then send out the prize after the tournie is over.

but what about the people that have a name there and not NA. I still get the same message but I can see the name perhaps I need to ignore everything else and just look for a screenname which would be right before the Hello+Are+You+There? Because I just tried it on my own and still get the same check the path message as tho I have done an error but I did see my screenname before the hello are you there line Anyway thanks for the help

I got this from the FAQ link but I'm not sure I understand it. · Build ships without losing energy value to systems If you need fleets but your systems are low or out of available energy slots, change the destination of the construction to a neutral system (it can be habited or inhabited). The ship will still have a cost in maintenance and refined points, but it will save energy. Ships do not use energy just maintenence points. Shipyards use energy but you cannot send them to a neutral planet only one you posess. Is this something that can be done with RebEd because I don't use it and if so that would explain my confusion. If it's not a rebed feature somebody please explain this thanks

ok was not sure where to post this so i figure general is a good place Many people have an aim link that you click and assumedly you get their aol instant messenger screenname but no matter who i click it on i get a strange message I will take Admiral_Antilliles as an example AIM:goim? Screenname=NA&message=Hello+Are+You+There? Check The path, and then try again so I click ok and get the following Internet Explorer cannot open this helper application for AIM:goim? Screenname=NA&message=Hello+Are+You+There? I then tried signing onto aol and doing this from there no luck now on some people you can figure out the name anyway like for DTAH just before the hello are you there it DTAH777 and for the new person CP it says Master3Kingdom but with antilliles i doubt he has a screenname called na& message for tk421 it says n/a&message and i kind of doubt that would be a chosen nickname as well So I am wondering why does it do this is this aim link something you can only use on say netscape and not IP or aol? so to the webmasters I give you this puzzle or anyone who can answer the question thanks a lot

A lot of us multiplayers find each other this way go to http://www.icq.com also please list your email address and welcome to the site. I prefer imps play slow speed for its the same as med speed when you have high speed internet or it sure seems like it and a medium size galaxy. I also play all tactics allowed anything goes but if you have reservations on that they can be discussed. hope to play you soon

You know maybe I am wrong and it is not a flaw in the game. I was saying that because there is no mention of it in the manual. In there it simply said general bombardment was just that general bombardment. Someone here told me it was a flaw but I don't remember who and since it was not told in the manual I assumed that person was right. I used to utilize it always figuring a planet that cannot be rebuilt on is one less I have to worry about but I used to get put down so bad by my opponents on the zone like I had committed a crime, and some of those people could get downright nasty. I guess war is war anything goes but I am now curious. Did lucasarts put it in there on purpose(ability to destroy energy) but decide not to say anything in the manual or is it indeed a game flaw hmmmmmmmmm

Hey Boshek, Ok here goes this is suncrushing: by using general bombardment, not military targets and not civilian targets but GENERAL bombardment you destroy energy and raw materials. making it impossible to build ANYTHING on that planet again no mines no refineries no shields no nothing. It also does not take much to achieve 2 escort carriers with fighters that have decent bombardment (for the rebels its the y wing for the imps its the tie bomber) and an admiral on board in maybe 5 shots probably less you now have a planet that still exists you can put people and troops on it but you can build nothing on that palanet ever again unless by some miracle new energy sources are found which is a rare occurence. it is some type of game flaw that was never meant to be there and some people feel its not right to use it I tend to agree. Sun crushing is also know as Total Warfare, scorched earth and energy killing.

To me assault and scrap is simply attacking your enemy. It accomplishes so much. You get the refined materials and I always need them because I pour so much into defences, you capture enemy characters, and you reduce your opponents maintenence points to me thats the most important part of the game. keep them on the defensive don't let the enemy breathe for if you do he'll be breathing down your neck. as far as suncrushing goes i think since apparently it is a game flaw it should not be used. there are other game flaws granted such as espionage abort and i am fine with that but suncrushing was never meant to happen. Only a death star can destroy a planet making it basically unlivable and even those are more trouble than they are worth but thats a different topic altogether

Hey Boshek you were not trounced you played a decent game and will get better in the future no prob hope we play again soon. Anyway i am finding ICQ is a great way to get opponents that and zone friends but icq is more internationally feasable i guess you'd say. anyway until a chatroom or forum opens for us i say if your not on icq get on it and list your number so others can put you on their icq list mine is 235502242 add me to your list fellow multiplayers

I went to Kali but the only star wars game i saw was ep1 racer and in the r's I saw no rebellion. i clicked the link games. If kali supports rebellion where do i find it

I am probably going to get trounced about this next suggestion but if the site needs cash how about monthly memberships. I'm not saying go crazy but even $1 a month from every member even if only half agreed that could generate nearly 1000/month I really like this site and would gladly pay a small membership fee. $1 a month or $9.95/year something like that may help any finacial problems

I think the banners are a bit much and i will explain. I go to the main page then click forums then click general discussion read what i want then click back and go to questions from newbies read what i wanted and in the end I had 11 ie screens that had a banner. it is a bit much i understand banners can help but 11 of them seems a bit excessive. it seems everytime you click a post you get a new banner right now i have 5 of them activated about to delete them without reading them which i would dare to say is what most people do anyway.
