WORMIE, RUN! The nurses are pure evil! 16 weeks of pure hell, ehh? Sounds awfully familiar to what the guys here go through too, but they probably whine more than the Canadians. How did your unit move about? Ground vehicles, helicopters, airplanes, etc?

Yeah, but it's still not the same, I can't run for a long time without it hurting, and it hurts when it's damp outside aswell. 24 years old and I have a minor form of arthritis that will only get worse with age. Ouch . . . sorry to hear that. Did the Airborne training still linger in the unit while you were there, or was it just normal infantry training? (I'm quite curious)

Now that I think about, probably close to nobody has read my rank and insignia explanations, as well as any other scattered about this forum. Hahaha, the tide may yet turn from "Yes" to simple ignorance! . . . too bad it won't turn to "No".

Personally: I'm into the whole lack-of-humor thing. Plus, I don't get why everyone's always jabbing at a lack there of in Zahn's novels. I saw plently of humor. They jokes were, admitably, quite subtle and not the kind that you can laugh at for a very long time, but it makes you smile and chuckle once or twice to yourself. Plus, he had about as much humor as Anderson had in his. So . . . the Zsinj novels are the funnier ones? Ugh . . . just not my favorite thing in a STAR WARS novel. I guess it comes with the whole pilot theme to the X-Wing novels (if you've ever met real military pilots, whether it be planes or helicopters, they're all pretty much big morons--that's not meant offensively, just jokingly).

Scath, he's not joking; it's true. Same deal for Australia and New Zealand. It's kind of like the Royalty rules the countries and just happened to have taken capital in Britian (but not truly). Okay, that made no sense . . . but what can you expect when I try to explain something?

Heck, SOCL, Jahled's so kind to give us a url to at least try and explain his gibberish. You, on the other hand, just give us a your own mutterings! Hey, Scath, at least I presented a good argument and with backed research! . . . oh sorry, I didn't notice the wink ( ) until just now. Please ignore the angry tone in my writing!

Agreed, Qui-Gon had the whole revolution feel about him, but I prefer the Ben Kenobi/Yoda mystical way of doing things. I'm also glad Obi-Wan didn't turn out like Qui-Gon and wanted to follow the words of the Council rather than run on a tangent. You know what I mean? In Phantom, Obi-Wan seemed to coward a tad when speaking of the Council and wanting to please them, unlike the unruly Jinn. And what's with the whole Jedi having a hyphenated name thing? Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon. What the hell?

Well . . . this was unexpected. Even if I did suggest it (it had been a joke), it was still quite unexpected. Being SOCL, I meant to choose No, but accidentally clicked Yes. Ugh . . . apparently not even I understand my own explanations. If you don't know what explanations is being spoken of, read the "Being Promoted in the Forums" thread and you'll see what they mean (especially when I show up on the scene). Oh hell . . . And by the way . . . yes, my rank insigina is incorrect.

Hey, Trej, Scath, what do you think of a poll entilted: "Do you get confused with SOCL's explanations?" And then have the responses be: "Yes", "No", and "Who's SOCL?". Odds are: 100% on "Yes". What do you think? Someone think it's worth doing and willing?

Believe it or not, I have yet to read the novels with Zsinj in them. Can you believe that? I've actually, only read a few STAR WARS novels, but some (like the Thrawn and Hand of Thrawn series), I've read more than once (as a matter of fact, I'm reading the Thrawn trilogy now for the 3rd time). The novels I've read so far are: Tales of the Bounty Hunters Tales from Jabba's Palace Shadows of the Empire (in process of finishing for second time) The Truce at Bakura X-Wing: Rogue Squadron X-Wing: Wedge's Gamble X-Wing: The Krytos Trap X-Wing: The Bacta War (in process of finishing) Heir to the Empire x3 Dark Force Rising x3 The Last Command x2 (in process of finishing for third time) Jedi Search Dark Apprentice Champions of the Force x2 Darksaber Specter of the Past x2 Vision of the Future x2 Of course, I own all the novels from A New Hope onward to Vector Prime. Plus, I only read 3 novels at a time (I would read more, but more than 3 is simply too many books to carry around). As soon as I finish one of three I'm reading, I'll start X-Wing: Wraith Squadron and then Vector Prime.
