  1. I should have included a "How dare you make me choose?" option.
  2. Just goes to show you that the when the good guys have to win, they will . . . even with a fleet larger than their own and a Death Star against them. Just look at the Thrawn series . . . if it wasn't because of Thrawn's death (which I still do not understand how he hadn't predicted it), the Republic would have lost, but because the Republic can't lose . . . ugh! A more down to Earth scenario: the hero has only a magazine full of ammo and has to fight off an entire army. So with only 20 bullets and his badly working rifle which doesn't shoot automatic fire some how makes out of his foxhole, shoots full automatic fire at anyone and everyone he sees, kills all the bad guys, walks around with long hair and looks like an idiot, wins the girl, and, of course, blows off the government. How stupid.
  3. No, I didn't . . . although . . . Hmm. . . .
  4. I agree with wormie, ROTJ is great (my second favorite) because of the final battle! I don't, however, like the ground battle too much because it seemed rather unreal (Ewoks and a few rebels destroying/killing a legion of stormtroopers? Please!). I dislike the fact that the Empire lost of the Battle of Endor and practically cry everytime I see the Exectuor crash into the Death Star II! The whole battle, all in all, just didn't seem realistic, but then again the good guys have to win.
  5. No, the reference MWell . . . I think when you say Padawan being referred to as "Master Jedi", I believe you're referring to when Anakin was called "Master Jedi" by one of the politicians on Naboo. That was correct, though, because you'll remember Padme correcting the person. It's a little hard to believe that even people outside the circle of Jedi don't know the difference between a Jedi Master and a Padawan and it is safe to assume that was an isolated incident since the politician probably assumed that because Anakin was protecting a Senator he was a Jedi Master or at least a Knight (after all, who would put a mere Padawan in charge of gaurding such an important person?). By the way, why does it seem like Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are the only ones with Padawans following them around as apprentices? I mean, granted, we did see Yoda surrounded by dozens of Padawans, but being a Padawan does not make them an apprentice (apprentice=Padawan, but Padawan does not necessarily equal apprentice). I'm merely pointing out that was have yet to see many more Jedis with apprentices (if any others at all). Lastly, to have an apprentice, must one be a Jedi Master or can one be just a Jedi Knight? (that's assuming the system of Jedi status is: Padawan, Knight, Master)

    I think I'll wait . . . . . . okay, now's good. (even though I still don't get it . . .)
  7. I believe your mocking me, at this point, Scath. Hey! Someone voted "No"! :D Please, step forward so I may thank you!
  8. My apologies, Scath, I had not meant to make seem the way it sounded. Now, about being able to choose between Imperial and Rebel/Republic ranks, would that actually be possible?
  9. So, Scath, you agree with the tests results regarding me?
  10. I think it has to do with a psychological attachment to whatever series you were raised with or saw first. For example, I was raised watching the original triology and thus that has become my favorite, whereas I hardly ever watch The Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones. But then I find that my little cousins do not like the original triology and actually fall asleep watching it, whereas, when I put in Phantom or Clones they come to life and I, in turn, am the one who dozes off. It's probably rooted in the different generations more so than anything else . . . that or we have Jar-Jar to blame!
  11. But you do have to admit, Scath, that as far as Jedi Masters go, Qui-Gon was quite unusual. You mentioned Obi-Wan being a mere Jedi Knight, but was he not referred to as "Master Jedi" in Attack of the Clones. Perhaps that is simply verbal address for for a master of a Jedi (a Jedi with an apprentice). But if so, then was he not a Jedi Master at least by the time of A New Hope?
  12. AT LAST! SOMETHING THAT DOES MAKE SENSE! :D Perhaps I'm not as "out there" as everyone thinks I am!
  13. Quite true! Don't get me wrong, Scath, I hadn't meant you or Trej, but I doubt most people truly care. . . . but one day . . .

To be quite honest, Scath, I believe you're right.
  15. Sounds about right: So which LOTR Villain are you? Hmm?? made by Michelle at EmptySpace.
  16. By the moons of Tatooine does it take a long time to make a poll! Having to hit "Add Option" over and over and over . . . I voted for The Empire Strikes Back simply because of the amount of Empire it showed and the fact that it seemed like the Empire was winning! Plus it had all those awesome views of Star Destroyers and the Executor! Last, but most certainly not least, it had the best representation and of a true ranking system within it's few hours!
  17. Let's throw out a poll that everyone here should be able to answer: Which of the STAR WARS movies is your favorite? Just vote and perhaps add a comment as to why you voted such (be sure to include which one you voted for in your post, of course). I'm sure this has been done before (if not: ), but that was before I showed up on the scene. So . . . go to it. Additionally, Scath, our stats-man may even appreciate this.
  18. Are you suggesting I'll simply spill out every possible explanation I can and confuse the hades out of anyone who asks(?) . . . sounds almost like suicide. Reading back, I don't think that made any sense. To the original question . . . I imagine most people here are all for the whole Jedi/Force thing.

The way things are going . . . I doubt there will be any. Even I, accidentally, clicked "Yes". Subconsciously I must not even understand myself . . . how depressing.
  20. Taking stabs at me, ehh, Scath? Perhaps one day I shall find myself stranded on a desert island and discover a tribe of people who speak the same gibberish I do. Then I and those tribesmen will sit together around a fire and discuss the endlessly unimportant ranking systems of countries and STAR WARS (well, at least unimportant to the majority of the world). Maybe my explanations are the reason I haven't had a girlfriend in almost a year.

Even with Andy's sudden explosion ( ), the question still stands.
  22. Let me remind everyone that the above list of ranks are the forum ranks and not necassarily those of the STAR WARS universe military (whether it be Imperial or Rebel/Republic). Also, allow me to remind everyone who is just now showing up that the insignia for the ranks in this forum are only for the forum. I had to do that, Scath and Trej, it's just my thing. I don't get it, why do the margins fluctuate and not simply continue increasing? Also, about the forum Major insignia, you will notice that it's actually lower ranking (if we are to follow the pattern presented by the forum insignia seen here) than Lieutenant Commander due to the lack of a square. Additionally, Lieutenant Commander and Major are meant to be of equal--for a lack of better words--"status" or "level".
  23. About the name thing. I meant it as an apparent characteristic at the start of the . . . of never mind. I never claimed Obi-Wan Kenobi was mystical in either episode I or II. If you had taken note of my name usage ("Ben") then you would have noticed that I was talking specifically about the Obi-Wan we saw in A New Hope and onward through to Heir to the Empire. Perhaps unruly was the wrong adjective to use for Qui-Gon (it was actually meant more sardonically than anyway else). Just chill, Scath, perhaps my statements were a tad unfounded. Excellent, I am a Lieutenant Commander.
  24. Point. But then again, I may not have the patience to read a funny STAR WARS book that entales two moron forces fighting each other.

Sounds like a military personnel characteristic (the whining). As far as ground vehicles went, what were they: wheeled trucks, track vehicles, etc? Sorry for asking sooo many questions, but I'm VERY curious (when I find a foreign soldier, I ask as MANY questions as I can think of before they yell at me to stop).
