  1. Hey, Scath, I was promoted ( ) to Major at 190, not 200. Just trying to help to fix it up!
  2. I agree, with better stories and some better acting (i.e. Anakin and Padme in Phantom), then the two prequel movies that have been made so far could have been better. I also think that some of the storyline/scenes in the prequels seemed rather pointless and without any real importance (more like fillers put in for a lack of true plot). Even so, I believe AOTC was far better than TPM (especially with the balcony scene and, of course, The Imperial March LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE! ).
  3. Well, I simply assumed that it was a standard thing hard-wired into the forum. Maybe we should ask one of the admins(?). I am, at last, a major . . . but was it really a promotion
  4. You're probably right. . . . HEY! That was at my expense!
  5. Yes, quite true it does at to those points and to the frustration that Anakin has. But seeing past that, I think it helps prove that not all Jedi are called "Master Jedi" but it was a mistake made by that particular politician. I realize the reason that scene was there, but it proves a seperate point (yes, it can do that) that not all Jedi should be referred to as "Master Jedi". If you read in the Thrawn series (I believe it was Dark Force Rising, but it may have been Heir to the Empire) people know what a Jedi is clearly (and not just because of the lightsaber). I'm sure people can tell the difference and most know the difference between a Padawan and a Jedi Knight/Master. Granted, a Padawan may be capable of powers greater than that of a normal being, but that has nothing to do with the point. If one were to be approached about having an apprentice (no matter what level of training or powers) in charge of their security, you would probably freak about it. This happens all the time. Foreign politicians have military Special Forces guard them while out on diplomacy missions, but the second someone utters putting regular soldiers or police in charge of protecting that person (or even if someone said a Special Forces trainee), that politician and everyone else close to them freaks. But why, a regular soldier or a regular police officer have more training than a normal person? Well, simply put: people get spoiled and the word "regular" or "trainee" (or "Padawan" or "apprentice" in this case) makes them panic. It's hard to explain, but it's the truth. Even though a Padawan can do a better job at security than, say, a regular security officer, people would prefer a regular security officer (or a Jedi Knight or Master) than have an apprentice. It's just nature. Yes, one can be a Padawan and not yet be an apprentice. A Padawan is undergoing training and is soon after put as an apprentice to learn from someone else. These people are in the movies? Well, then again I have no clue who these people are. Man, what's your bitterness with Ben?
  6. Guess... . . . guess what? Err . . . what do you want me to guess?
  7. Hm . . . that was rather odd, wasn't it Scath? I guess the coming back to the Katana fleet thing has to do with the fact that it involves Thrawn, and if it involves Thrawn than it's grrrrrrrrrreat! Off topic comment (no response needed): GUYS! Has anyone else seen the AWESOME banner of for Bucketheads?! With the girl stripping and showing the Imperial insignia tattoo?!? AWESOME BANNER!!! Sorry, I just saw it and had to make a comment about it somewhere.

Sheez! What incredible nonsense. That just goes on to prove that laws are hopelessly behind reality. Those darn descent-of-monarchy-governments. Well, I suppose it's all rooted, not in reality, but more so in tradition and formalities.
  9. So, Scath, you agree with the tests results regarding me? Well, you have to admit it is rather coincidental that it turns out that you're Wormtongue just after I've made jokes about a verbal quality of yours... Um . . . what jokes about a verbal quality of mine? (I'm rather slow at catching on)
  10. Seems Empire is winning. Excellent. Scath, I didn't understand what you wrote. Did you mean to say you wanted to vote for AOTC?
  11. Sounds like a fun title, but I may not be deserving of it.
  12. Point made, Trej. But I would have thought they would have gotten rid of Fey'lya after the Katana fleet incident in Dark Force Rising . . . I mean, he held Leia and Karrade at blaster point! You would have thought someone would have wised up to what the Bothan was doing and have taken some action.
  13. . . . I believe I shall do the same.
  14. Points well made, Jahled. But I think that the point of Palpatine being the engineering of transmforming the Republic into the Empire is quite clear. To a weird point: in Episode I, where did Jar-Jar suddenly get the balls to tell a bunch of Gungans "Steady, steady"? Also, when Darth Maul suddenly appeared in front of the group, why didn't someone just shoot him and get it done with? It would have been easier that way. And has anyone ever noticed that the music they play when the Trade Federation's troops invade Naboo and engage the Gungans sounds A LOT like the Nazi theme in MANY World War II movies? (you can kind of tell I'm what movie I'm watching and what part I'm at now . . . stupid little Anakin! )
  15. You know what(?) . . . he's right.
  16. The whole situation makes you think ( ): Why didn't Mon Mothma put Fey'lya away at the start when she had the chance (or so I've been told)?
  17. Well, jeez, Scath, didn't give us much of a choice about what to choose, did you? Either Trej's scarier than his avatar or he's scarier than his avatar. I hope you meant to do that. Neither; in the words of Jahled:
  18. By the way, I don't know about the rest of you, but when I went to go see Attack of the Clones opening night at midnight, I wasn't as excited as I had been when, say the special editions came out and when I was standing in line for The Phantom Menace. I think it had to do with the disappointment I got when I saw Phantom. Did anyone else feel the same way about Episode II?
  19. I think you also forgot no Jar-Jar Binks. Thank you, Jahled.
  20. I think he was being sarcastic, Trej. It still doesn't seem very realistic, though, especially considering the amount of armor those ships have. Along with that, it doesn't take the control of the bridge to keep a ship from going out of control. In the Navy, I know for a fact that during combat both the command bridge and the combat bridge are manned 24/7 and if something happens to one, then the other one has long since been maneuvering and comandeering the ship. Along with that, there's always a seperate location in one of the under-decks that keep a horrible thing such as the knock out of both bridges from affecting the ship's escape. What I mean, is, with a ship the size of the Executor there was probably a secondary, a third, and a combat bridge, along with about a billion other places the ship could have been flown seperately. It simply doesn't seem realistic to me that a single A-Wing can cause the downfall of a ship more than a hundred times its size! But, of course, it was a Rebel, thus "good guy/hero" A-Wing so it has to be able to do what it did. How disgusting.

A Captain commanded your platoon? Interesting. So, what was the role of lieutenants? And how large were your platoons? Did they consist of squads/sections or . . . well, what was the makeup of a normal platoon?
  22. You can't stop it, Trejiuvanat! Soon everyone shall understand what I say and then . . . and then . . . um . . . something shall happen! HAHAHAHA!

I beleive it was the C7, that sounds familiar, though I could be wrong, it has been 6 years since I was there. Sorry, the other C was meant to be C8, but the combination of 8 and ). I suspected it was the C7. I imagine your platoon was commanded by a lieutenant of some sort, correct? (like a second lieutenant . . . I believe your ranking system is the same as the U.S.'s, at the junior officer level)

I believe Australia and New Zealand are the same way. I wonder, though, what would happen if a monarch came to power and suddenly decided to start exercising his or her powers. . . . Makes for the plot of a very interesting story. . . .

What weapons did you guys use? Like, as far as primary assault rifle, did you guys use the Canadian version of the M16A2 (I think it's called the C7 or the C8 ) or another weapon?
