  1. Nope, was just a request. Have you posted the wiki on the mod db and sins forums SoGE pages? The wiki is infancy, but the more people that get interested, the more viewpoints that get injected. Once all the pages are formed, the amount of editing will plummet.
  2. http://sins-of-a-galactic-empire.wikia.com/wiki/CIS#Ships Slowly adding in the relevant templates from the SoASE wiki. If you want to edit the ship one to customize it, feel free. Can we get a forum for the wiki? Im trying to disable the wiki's forum so more traffic comes here anyway.
  3. Issues getting them in correctly- might have to attempt photoshop on them, or get a friend who understands photoshop to do it for me. EDIT: Also enabled chat on the wiki. Nothing like a live chat to resolve questions quickly.
  4. Okay, didnt know that- gonna be a bit strange for a first time user of the mod. I personally liked the prior cruiser arrangement for the CIS, though (to me) the best frigate lay out would be: Geonosian Pinnance, Trade Fed, Patrol FRG, C9979, Hardcell, Diamond. Starbase constructors are in the cruiser menu normally, but it might be worth adding teh colonizing cruiser after the C9979. But thats just my view. Ah, that explains the Core Ship. Might be worth adding something about heavy bombardment guns or launchers to the desc to clear up any confusion- with the current 'even spacing of turbolasers' one can be forgiven for thinking its a front line ship. No save unfortunately- i have one thats all of 3 minutes into the game at the latest. No auto saves weirdly... Ill try recreate it. It was autocasting the crewing, then i stopped it, then sent back to crew (back = pivot). It was also being attacked by the gunship when i told it to retaliate. Regular random. Understandable that you cant control randomness. And im not sure i want the AI to do better- as is, i had them raiding my homeworld ten minutes into the game...
  5. Started playing on the latest feedback, going to do a full work up on my opinion on each ship, and what not. Started with the CIS. First off: Tradefed FRGs as cruisers? No idea what prompted that but they're still at frigate prices and damage. I use them like frigates, because the CIS now lack a combat frigate. Otherwise a fine addition to the fleet. The mines: these need a longer range. The homing mines need x3 the range, and the others +300 to make them even worth using. Right now its only good against planet bombers and structures. No defensive worth whatsoever- the homing mines have such short range that they almost never detonate. Also, there are two "Detect mines' abilities- but one destroys them. Consider renaming the one that kills em to 'Destroy Mines' to avoid confusion. Core ships: (the ones that are now frigates for some reason). These arent responding correctly to fleet attack commands. They respond fine to attacking ships, but only when i select them on their own. Also, a bug: I made a colony ship for the CIS attack a Gunship Analogue, which was about to crew a neutral extractor, then decided it was a better that it crewed first. Crashed the game- legit crash, no mini dump, just back to desktop in an instant. And may want to look at the spread of planets in random maps- got penned in by two v high level planets (One needed sector gov, the other needed Arcology Shielding II) adjacent to the first planet from the home world. I saw an AI with NO asteroids (i had one in a dead end lane) and two terran worlds next to it. Poor bugger couldnt even leave the home world for the first 20 minutes of the game. Game crashed, so expect more feedback after i have another game.
  6. Admin rights assigned to Lavo.
  7. To change the password, just hover your mouse over your account name in the top right and select 'My Preferences'. Fourth line down on the opening page. Says 'My Password' and 'Change Password' in dark blue.
  8. Oh, and if you have these in the files somewhere: The entry image into the game (the destroy them all one) would be great for the wiki background. The SoGE crystal/metal/credits equivelants icons. Otherwise ill have to photoshop them out.
  9. Show me where to look and ill do it... Im lost when looking at that stuff. Also, you're editing with a different account to Lavo 2. Which is your main? Ill give admin to the right one.
  10. Got help on the community forum, and voila! The info boxes are in. http://sins-of-a-galactic-empire.wikia.com/wiki/TradeFed_II_FRG And all factions have their ships and their red links to them. Feel free to post this wherever to gain awareness. One issue- there are two Miid Ro'ik on the Yuuzhan Vong, one with two abilities and one with four. Will throw the wiki out a bit.
  11. Ive asked on a SoaSE Admin's talk page for the template code for the stat template. Copying and pasting from the page did nothing. No response yet. Im going to contact support so they can install it. Once I (or someone who understands code) figures out how to edit it, we can add our own values. But to me- its all greek.
  12. Checked.
  13. And ive almost added all the ship links and added the CIS Envoy page as an example. Happy for anyone who's interested to help out.
  14. Yeah, i had a brain fart and assumed that this was about the public releases and showing testing. Could i have access to the beta? I requested access at the end of that giant long thread below this when i realized.
  15. The pages have been adjusted accordingly and ive given you admin rights.
  16. Okay, the factions pages are in. The ships red links will go in tomoz, as will an upcoming features and a known bugs page. Once thats in, id be happy for it to be released onto mod db and the forums. Ive described each factions as having a trait, correct me if wrong: CIS: Technological upgrades. Empire: Firepower and quality. Rebellion: Survivability (shields mainly) Republic: Numbers New Republic: Mix of Empire and Rebellion Vong: Adaptable with high regeneration.
  17. I would like to sign up as well.
  18. Nope, that's a bug. Thanks for pointing it out! Uploaded fix. Where are you uploading these? I checked the downloads here and on ModDB but theres no update.
  19. Noted that the Rebellion has a cruiser and a capital ship with the exact same name and stats, except one is more expensive. Assuming the capital ship one has a hangar? Either way its confusing.
  20. http://sins-of-a-galactic-empire.wikia.com/ Wiki. Adding the factions now. If you link me your account and post on the talk page, ill make you admin Lavo. If theres anyone else who you'd like to have it, just ask.
  21. Then ill put it on wikia again, and try not let it disappear. Ill start with ship and faction pages.
  22. Bump. Would like to know where the devs want this made. Got a fair bit of time on my hands so its something constructive to do.
  23. Thanks, ill make sure to do that. The early advantage is lopsided by the cost reducing research for the CIS (Affects extractors and factories) requires the trade port research as a preq. Thanks for implementing it though, its a great advantage.
  24. Very good, allows for very fast gameplay. Maybe drop .5, but definitely good. HOWEVER: There seems to be a major issue. Every ship in my game... is blue. Dark blue actually. Screenshot. EDIT: Also, what ships in the CIS take advantage of the kamikaze codes? It was one of their greatest advantages early game with the hardcells, if it got moved to cruisers... more mid game. And also, after combat, my ships continue to have the red circle (the flashing one meaning they're taking damage), despite being full health and in a friendly well.
  25. @1- Ah, i did not think to try that... Thanks. I just wish there was a more efficient way to gain credits. @2- hyperspace speeds seem to be a hit or a miss- the first map i played in the new update was horrible... i went for a drink, came back and they still hadnt arrived. I conveniently suffered a minidump a few moments later... But my second map had more acceptable, or at least bearable standards. Regular speeds is what i meant- the crossing a gravity well action is about (on average) x2 or x3 slower than vanilla. This is with the highest speed setting. @3- Ah, the broadside... that is helpful... I tried using a Torpedo Sphere The AI didnt think to try that- i did see a single broadside in the fleet, but it was only once. And its a bit hard to outrange them- i think i can hit most phase jumping in locations with Missiles or Laser cannons. Especially on an asteroid. @4- Thanks, its a simple change but a significant one. The desc is helpful, but the added line of 'Role: Siege' is just for quick reference. Oh, and a small other thing- vanilla has it so that when you select a group of frigates, cruisers and capitals, the 'focus' one, or the one who's ability appears in the bottom right and a fleet will be formed on, is a capital every time. SoGE doesnt have that.
