SOCL Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 Well, we have a topic somewhat like this for books, so why not movies? Now, I'm sure everyone is going to post at least one STAR WARS film , but be sure to post other of your favorite films. No, this is not blasphemy, but if you insist: Name your second favorite movies (if you're that hardcore of a fan). Here's mine in no particular order:-The Empire Strikes Back-Return Of the Jedi-Jurassic Park-Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack (anime)-Gladiator-A Beautiful Mind-Master and Commander: On The Far Side Of The World-Mobile Suit Gundam I (anime)-Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers Of Sorrow (anime)-Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters In Space (anime)-COWBOY BEBOP: Knockin' On Heaven's Door Okay, my list seems pretty, long, but it's the truth. SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted December 20, 2003 SWR Staff - Executive Posted December 20, 2003 Return of the Jedi - why? Space battle, enough said That's my favorite Star Wars movie. Lord of the Rings - well, now that I've seen all of them.. I still can't pick my favorite. That will just have to be seen over time. /me waits for ROTK extended now Matrix - why not? The last one was a sorta disappointment, but still a good movie. No favorite yet. Ditto above about time. I'm trying to think of some older movies, but my mind is going blank right now. Oh well, maybe I'll see some I can add from other posts. Imperator Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 Here is my list in no particular order:- 1. The Empire Strikes Back ( a must for any budding Empire player!! ) 2. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid ( Steve Martin's best film )3. Clay Pigeons ( Joachim Phoenix )4. Some Like It Hot5. The Producers ( funniest film ever made, in my opinion )6. Young Frankenstein7. The Mission ( De Niro, the soundtrack is wonderful )8. Seven ( Morgan Freemans performance is brilliant )9. The Return of the Pink Panther.10. The Ladykillers11. The Shawshank Redemption12. Spartacus13. El Cid14. The Terminator15. The Madness of King George III I could go on but the list is far too long already. SOCL's Jurrasic Park and Gladiator are also excellent films, I just wish Jurrasic and been made with a more adult audience in mind ( it was too tame considering those primeval creatures!!!) SOCL Posted December 24, 2003 Author Posted December 24, 2003 Interesting to note that no listed any of the prequel SW movies. Just goes to show that my "little cousin/generation" theory is probably correct regarding the SW movies.
