Yeah... he went there. Chime in and give him your two cents.

"In the future it will become easier for old negatives to become lost and be 'replaced' by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten." - George Lucas, 1988. [u.S. Congressional hearing testimony on film preservation.]

The guy is a cry baby. He is mad because he put all his eggs in one basket and a lucky natural disaster ruined it. That is life. I bet he is a person who quits a game as soon as he start to lose one major toy...as if he cannot come back from it.

I think he may like to stick to his XBOX. I doubt if he would play a real human, if he thinks to AI is too 'hard.'

too much trouble for me to register, go a head and place my opinion in there if you want. :)

I tired to comment there, but it will not take my home page URL ..oh well.

Jahled would definitely agree on the natural disaster thing

For how long his post is, the only thing that seem to matter to him was the natural disaster. He didn't mention the multi-message click fest, the tactical battle scenario (Bud covered that well in his comment-reply), or some of the other troublesome problems. Though I do agree with him on the LucasArts plethora of crap filled products that spewed forth after release of The Phantom Menace. At that point I too did "give up" on LucasArts and their mindset to take my money for low quality "crap". I'm still waiting for some "quality" fun (I do like BattleFront though  ); when is Rebellion 2 going to be released? (Slocket, Davidas, steel and everybody/anybody else working on this) :D

Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?

Yer seems like that 13 year old boy still exists in his reviews. An unlucky event and he loses his shipyards... Thats part and parcel of the game and the back and forth is what I loved about Rebellion.

As for my project. Well, most of the backend is done, Ive brought in a guy to do content creation(units and such), and someone to help me with ideas/code. Its getting close to the stage where it is a playable MP game with some minor pretties.

Big thing that will be needed is an artist some time soon. Modelling and 2D. Assuming everything goes well with my coding, and no further major setbacks, I hope to have a playable game by Xmas. At a minimum, the 2D part should be completed. Ill speak to the guys who did the TC for Rebellion 1 about using some of their artwork as Im not an artist and finding one is hell.

As for me, hopefully before Duke Nukem Forever is released.

I have a pretty 2D strategy GUI only. I did enough 3D to suffice. Maybe another year.

I used models and artwork where ever I could get my hand on them.

I couldn't believe the things he said about Rebellion in the end. I had written up a nice reply to his stupid rant, but somehow my browser closed it up and I lost my own rant. Still, I am hurt by the things he said. If it was Force Commander he was complaining about, then I could understand that, but not Rebellion!!!

Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side!
