ElvisMiggell Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 I think if you just keep clicking it tends to go a lil bit faster, i think you can cut off whichever droid is speaking and then immediately turn off the advice so they shut up permanently! SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted October 19, 2003 SWR Staff - Executive Posted October 19, 2003 It is possible, depending on your display drivers, DirectX and Windows version, that the ESC keys do not register while C-3PO is talking. I've had this happen on one computer running Windows 2000, it can't skip through the intro talking.. while my other computer running 2000 can skip through it just fine. I've not found a way to fix this, but perhaps updating your display drivers will do the trick. Lord_La_forge Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 I can't skip the intro either. Like Evaders, I have thos problem only since I have new OS. I couldn't fix that, and it's very disturbing in case, when you just want to test something edited in Rebed...

This has bugged me for years now, when I first started on Windows 98 I could skip the intro, I hadn't made the connection when I switched to Windows 2000 Pro! Woo to you sir! http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 He's a clever guy. did updating your display drivers do the trick then? My alt-tab doesn't seem to work, did it ever work? I can't remember! Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away

Jin_Roh Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 I always right click the game speed setting to put the game on slow for that first day. Whenever I do that IM22 ends his briefing with a huffy "as you wish".
Jin_Roh Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 Well, people were wondering how to stop the briefing. That's one way
the_mask Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Clicking on 3PO always worked for me and I've had the game installed on 7 computers over the years http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
