I actually bought the game before I bought my first PC I liked the look of it so much...lent it to a mate to play untill I could afford a PC! Then when I got my PC it was the first game on it, and stayed right here ever since...

Yay indeed! :)

94 is not possible as it requires Win95 with directx. It also uses Smacker video technology that has registration of 1996, and also it uses the soundtrack of "The Empire Strikes Back Special Edition" (the probe droid track of it) that was only made in 1997!

I couldn't find my versions release date ( I have UK Supremacy version) but it's clear that is was released later then 97. I think it was released early 98....

Just for clearing things :)

Yes it feels like I've had it for years as well. I actually shifted platforms from Macintosh computers to windows because Rebellion wasn't available for the Apple computers. So it was the first program loaded on to my new computer and every computer since then. I still play at least every couple of days and because of Rebed the game is customized to my version of how the Star Wars universe should be. Also the various incarnations of this site and the predicesors have helped keep my love of the game burning. I discovered the RebEd Card Guild site soon after I bought the game and got advice on how to make my own cards from people there including Eric-EW and of course Evaders99. Although I haven't made a new card in a while I still have a few that I never released which play a big part in my version of Rebellion. Well just a little bit on my thoughts about this great game.-Grand Moff Paul Conway

:) Well Star Wars Universe is a bit subjective too :) Like Paul, I also have cards I never released. How could I do that? Release the card of Empress Siu Lung. I used my girlfriends photo for that card :)

Everybody has his own little (Star Wars) Universe inside... :roll:8)

The curious affection we retain for Rebellion/Supremacy was a factor I was on the verge of suggesting a Homepage Poll about... Why do we all love a game that is so obviously dated?

But I think you guys sort of just touched it square on the head! How many other game titles do you know where you get to build fleets of Star Destroyers, pack them full of Stormtroopers, and deploy characters you can create yourself? Recreate the galaxy with Resource Hacker to how you perceive the Star Wars universe, tinker with this and that; the options available with RebEd are staggering!

But combine that with what's massing in the downloads section and our games' are moving through quiet revolutions. All that, and I sort of know more than a guess, we ain't seen nothin' yet! :)

Thanks for apreciating my cards Glandry, you would be a welcome visitor to my universe. As to your question Elvis there are a few that I use always that for one reason or another just never got posted. A couple use pictures of aquaintances who don't want their faces posted. I actually have lists of my cards and what slots they best fit in, my favorites are on the Emperor Conway game list.-Grand Moff Conway

I got the game in late 99, it was my birthday present when i turned 14, at first I couldn't play it for some months, then I played on my mothers office computer... I have been playing for four years, and hardly get bored. I doubt I'll get bored, especially now iwht the new cards...

I first got the game in 99 as well. In my first as the Alliance, Chewie was found out to be Force Sensitive. Unfortunatly, the computer I had then was a piece of crap, and it broke down. I had to wat a year before I could play it on a regular basis again, and alas, I have never had Chewie as a FS again
