I have a question??

What happened here?

I can't seem to figure out why the site wont let me upload my own avatar. Can someone plese informe on othe the "new" way to do things, b/c I'm just not getting it

Well there are a few possibilities

first of all your avatar is bigger than 6 k

2nd your avatar isn't 80x80 pixels

 

if you are off-site linking, the site from which you are trying to link doesn't support off-site linking (ex. Geocities)

Unfortunately, none of your possibilities apply to Dino, since she had a working off-site avatar.

 

@dinochick: I don't know what happened to the avatars but I've sent an email to Stratus and Evaders asking them to look into the matter.

Scathe, I had a look on behalf of Dinochick, and it seems to me the options to upload avatars and the option to put in an off site url link have been removed!

Uploading avatars on our site has never been enabled, due to the inherent security risk. For some reasons, we just showed it was enabled when in fact, it has never worked.

 

You can, however, link to your off-site avatar by going to the profile link above.

BTW: You guys no Piccidilly Circus in London right? It's the roundabout with the statue of Eros and the huge Coca Cola neon sign. Well today I was bouncing through the traffic their when I passed a man driving a DESK! I kid you not, some promotional woo-har, the steering wheel was a keyboard like i'm tapping on now. It even had a water bottle machine to boot!

Guys!!! It's true!!! What made me laugh upon reflecting about it afterwards was that for all the novalty factor of making a motorized vehicle out of an office desk, I was left not knowing what it was promoting!
