As many of you know, I'm TFN staff. I'd like to get in touch the the in-charge guy for this mod for some... arrangements.

 

1) Who's officially in charge. If it's a couple of people, who's more in charge or should I go to both of them.

2) Will this ever be released to the public? The method or the program that does it? I've been out of touch...

1) I guess it's me, since nobody else has risen up to it.

 

2) The TC will be the stuff that's released to the public.. because the model editor already is (released that is). I'm thinking of something like InstallShield at the moment.

I thought it was somebody else who had discovered the whole replace ship models process.....

Anyway whoever it is; I'd love it if they would get in touch with me, cause I have something available I think they'd be interested in....

That's true that I didn't find out how to replace the models, but I was the one with the idea for a TC... to make Rebellion fun again! :)

And I'm the guy, who found out the other method and the one who made the tutorial, if that's whom you mean.

 

You got something interesting ? That sounds like new models. When I read your first post in this thread I wondered, if you were about to sue me :)

Oh, I'm definetly not suing you, and unfortunetly, the only new models I have are way too high poly.

:lol: Well, some reasons:

-They did something here at the uni to the firewall. The second I start the web-based ICQ, the pc reboots :?

-The admins won't allow us to install progs, so one of my favourite tools (odigo) is of the table as well.

-Every time I was on ICQ with my pcs at home, you weren't :D ,although I can't be online for hours, since I'm a poor student :wink:

-The main reason, we haven't met on ICQ could be, that we've got timezones, that have at least a difference of 7 hours.

 

Don't give up yet :lol: You can always email me. That's still availlable at the uni and I check the mails almost every day.

There's an option in Lith to do this with a wizard, but more (or less :D ) than about 5,000 won't be possible for most of the swma models.

Blender has a decimator tool, which does it to parts of the model at a time. So that would work. It's slower than clicking a button but a helluva lot faster than doing it by hand.
