With short and careful step Elegaie measured the gigantic sized of the Yuuzhan Vong ship. He walked timidly into every different hallway, halfscared of the ghosts that haunted his mind. Around him the Force was boiling, he could discern the different presences. He felt Scathane's newly acquired awareness in that world, the animal fierceness of Igoru and the calm presence he had almost forgotten, it was a reminder of a forgotten age. It should have shoccked him to feel her, but he understood it perfectly now. Vergere. The spectres of his friendship came back to him. Back when the galaxy had been at peace, before the Vong, before Evaders, before the Outbound Flight...

He felt the urge to touch her mind, but refused it, other ghost came to haunt him, other memories thaqt he acquired in a galaxy that hadn't been his own. The Yuuzhan Vong galaxy.

He and Iulor and all the Outbound Jedi had sworn to keep much of the information to themselves, Iulor and Elegaie particularly had a closely kept secret, one had in part shaped Iulan's fate, one that had required Elegaie to seek redemption. The darkness in his heart.

Memories came to him at lightspeed to fast for him to try to distract himself. While the ghost haunted him he fell on his knees, a pathetic figure in a coral hall within a Yuuzhan Vong ship.

Years ago too he had been on the knees on a Vong ship, but under different circumstances. He had been a captive, a slave meant for sacrifice, at the time he had not understood why he had been reserved for sacrifice, while other creatures more fierce and imposing had been killed outright, Vergere's presence had made that obvious. Things from that point had unfolded themselves darkly. The crude methods of the Yuuzhan Vong strapping him with some eel-like creature to a bigger crustacean for sacrifice had too drawn the rather animal part of his Caamasi nature, the view of the coufee, the ceremonial knife, had made his thoughts race. One thought was tempting and reconforting, while the VOng were invisible in teh Force, that did not mean that they were invulnerable. Gathering his power and fueling it with the flame of his emotions he had killed the priests and the warriors. Not only killed but delighting himself, not only killing but massacring, in a ship as big as the Punisher Elegaie, the Caamasi had killed more than the half of the crew. Iulor when he arrived to rescue him had been shocked, but had been more impressed by the Caamasi himself, he was not dark at all, only abstaining himself from the Force. They had talked for many days secondguessing what had happened to Elegaie. After that incident, Iulor decided to return and Elegaie had sworn an oath to himself to cut his use of the Force and to devote himself to help form Jedi able to fight back the Yuuzhan Vong. He had failed utterly, his student was lost as was he. He sought redemption for his actions, and was further punished.

Everything around him fell apart, the mission that had been so necessary to provide the Rebel a fighting chance had broken, Scath he felt now too distant, Igoru too and Garth...

An amphistaff cut thorugh his thoughts, but not only one dozens of them, he was surroudned.

The warriors were wuick to throw themselves into combat but Eleageie's reaction was fast and agile, while the Jedi tried to dodge the attacks of the lead warriors more came at him with their weapons ready to kill him.

He parried the amphistaffs with his blade trying to cut their heads, which he knew was the only way to kill him. He knew he was outnumbered, and there was only one thing for him to do.

"I killed enough of you, no more shall I spill your blood," he spoke.

He never had time to see the reaction in the leader's face. a sharp metallic object cut through his face. And he could here an excited cry, the metallic object took shape infront of Elegaie. It was one of Garth's tools.

Elegaie knew that Garth had no fighting chance either. But with a single words the warriors left them alone.

The word hadn't been spoke neither by him, nor by Garth it had come form a feathery voice, that spoke in a dlicate way. Vergere

A bleep came over the Ra Cailum's communications officer's headset as a new message appeared on his screen. He quickly scanned the message, deciphering the encryption. "A, sir," he said in a surprised tone, waving down the night duty bridge officer.

The bridge officer walked over and looked over the comms officer's shoulder at the screen. He quickly scanned the message and turned to the bridge command walkway. "Admiral," he called.

Fleet Admiral Socl, standing beside Colonel Wignzer, the ship's chief intelligence officer, looked over at the bridge officer. "Yes?"

"There's a message for you, sir," the sub-lieutenant reported. "It's coming from one of our shuttles in the Bantooine system."

Socl frowned. To his memory, there were no shuttles deployed in that particular star system... He walked to the communications console and read the message over. He stepped back and rubbed his black and brown goatee & mustache. "Sub-Lieutenant, how far away is the closest of our ships to that system?"

The bridge officer quickly searched his datapad for the information. "The Vonbraun system, sir. The Victory-class Star Destroyer Vindicator commanded by Commander Tiberius."

Socl nodded. "Very well then, send a response message telling him we shall meet him at Silver Station. After that, order the Vindicator to set a silent lock on the shuttle and trace it to its place of origin and follow it, using the Nu Shield if necessary. If slicers are needed, Commander Tiberius has my official permission to hire them as needed," Socl ordered, each appropriate bridge operator moving to follow orders. "After that, order the Gladiator to set a single stage course jump to Silver Station, but to use the Nu Shield at all times. We are to set a three stage course jump to the station, but without the Nu Shield."

The bridge officer nodded the orders along, relaying them as needed. In the background, Captain Janus was quickly approaching, knowing that he would soon be needed.

Socl did not waste another second. "Captain Janus," he said over his shoulder to the Ra Cailum's commanding officer. "Order the Rewloola to break its orbit over Syn'dra and rendezvous with the Imperial Tempest. The rest of the fleet is to remain deployed as it is, but it is to be on full combat alert in case this is some sort of trick. They are all to keep single stafe course jumps to Silver Station stored in their banks, as well as power up their Nu Shields." He was silent for a moment. "We will not have a repeat of Kuat," he said, his eyes narrow slits full of stone cold anger and venom.

The bridge was suddenly busy with orders being shouted in every direction, the secondary bridge crew being woken and brought to their duty stations.

Socl returned to the command walkway. There had been something odd about the message: the reference to the Sith Saya Sesenta... There was no one left who knew about that order, Palpatine had made sure of that... So why was it suddenly appearing now?...

The meeting at Silver Station would reveal and explain a great many things.

"Sir," the bridge officer shouted, "the Gladiator has made the jump to hyperspace."

Socl nodded, pulling a comlink out and making silent, inaudible communication to some unknown being or beings. Upon completion, he pocketed the comlink. "Captain Janus," he said firmly.

"Sir?" Janus responded.

"You may make the jump to hyperspace at your discretion."

"Aye, sir."

Guest Scathane

Just as Scathane was about to leave Bantooine, the ship’s capabilities surprised him again. The computer had given him a signal which was telling him a ship was trying to retrace his message and pinpoint its origin. It even told him which ship it was and that’s what worried him. It was an Imperial cruiser but it wasn’t the Ra Cailum; instead this ship was called the Vindication. However, the shuttle apparently was giving the Commodore the options of letting the trace through, blocking it or rerouting it to a bogus destination. Scathane scratched his head: he had never, in the last ten years, seen a computer interface on any space ship that was this cooperative to a random user. He had to investigate that on route to Silver Station. But now he had more pressing matters to attend to.

He opted for relaying the trace to a bogus destination and scanned whether Daala’s cruiser was still in the vicinity: it was. He then relayed the trace to her flagship and set a course for Silver station. He couldn’t help but smile at what he’d just done but still he had this vague premonition that Fleet Admiral Socl wouldn’t come alone to Silver Station…

It had to be some sort of a bizarre holoplay... His whole existence, the irony and the fact that with each second his existence became more pathethic; all of it conspired to make him believe that he was living a strange dream, a hallucination.

The fact that he was so close to the Imperial Center or rather his homeworld on an enemy mission was enough to confuse him. He had of course always dreamt of a return to Coruscant. But in his dreams he has come leading the Alliance's best X-Wing squadron, along with an enormous fleet to take the fight back to Emperor Evaders, to free the people of the galaxy once for all.

Coming back on his trusty TIE Defender relying on his hidden sense and subterfuge to spy on this world had turned his dream into a nightmare. Especially now, because he knew what could become of Coruscant.

The Yuuzhan Vong were more powerful and mighty in their own way, CAamas was of course feeding his thoughts. Shapers had finally been able to perfect the swarm of parasites that could be able to heal the CAamasi world, a world which was rendered uninhabitable by the pawn of Evaders years ago, shortly after his granduncle had become one with the Force. shapers also had an offshoot of those bacteria that could feed of ferrocrete, a tool to reshape Coruscant. Iulan thought of it deeply. It was hard to do so. COruscant could be easily bombarded with those bacteria, a building of the size of the Imperial Palace could be destroyed in matter of hours, but the memories of the planet would prevent him from ordering Rjiuvan to do so.

You think too much, that is your doom.

Iulan frowned. The defenses were really strong.

You know you want to destroy Evaders, you could do it with a single blow.

Four. Five. Six. Oh, and that formation over there. Ten Imperial Star Destroyers, beside a megalomaniac Evaders is a paranoid.

Can't you feel it, you want to destroy, S'Tor.

It took Iulan one more moment to discover that his thoughts weren't his own.

Fool. His mind spat, or rather the alien presence.

You seek my destruction, but you won't achieve anything, join me. And then we will "reshape" the galaxy. I have chosen you S'Tor, the Force is strong in you. I can teach you, I will complete your training. I can really turn you into a God.

"Never, your Excellency, NEVER!"

It is your choice

The mental discussion was interrupted by the green fire of a TIE Fighter on patrol.

Elegaie had once told him never to underestimate the powers of Evaders, his main ability was to control remotely entire minds, and guide tehir actions.

Iulan was lucky that Evaders was not a good pilot, having discovered that Evaders was focusing the attack of the TIE squadron to his Force presence he drew back his Force use and deactivated the cloak shield.

With a dozen TIE on his tail and a lot of evil Impstars so close his action might have been deemed as suicide. But Gods do not die.

Having served on Immortal Squadron he knew that he really was an immortal deity.

He activated his dovin basal, and it began to absorb the shots before the shields had to take more punishment.

He maneuvered violently across the space shooting and pointing, while throwing off pursuers. As he had shot down about half a squadron another came in.

Above him one of Coruscant's moons imposed itself before the black background.

Let's see if Imperial training has improved.

He continue to evade and dodge as he set up a run on the moon.

WIth almost twenty TIEs on his tailed his lowered his altitude, he manuvered through the destroyed landscape of the moon, that had been almost destroyed by the COruscant industries. Canyons and rock landscapes certainly gave the inferior TIE pilots. And if Iulan's flying skill hadn't shocked them, the sight of a black coral frigate certainly did, especially one that had been instructed to fire on enemy fragile TIEs.

Grutchins came the pursuers way, Evaders who certainly could not feel the Yuuzhan Vong must have felt very confused and annoyed, at the sudden death of his remote-controlled fighters.

Iulan looped back to the surviving TIEs to make sure they wouldn't have much data to report the sight of a Vong frigate. The few TIEs evaporated in few seconds. As he set up for the frigate's hangar he reviewed the data. It was plently on the orbital defenses and the fleets, plus whatever Evaders had on the ground. But he was convinced that he would return to this place, to wrestle it from Palpatine, even if he first had to destroy his empire, bit by bit, world by world, star by star.

  • 3 weeks later...

It has been little over two weeks since his experience on Coruscant. (OOC: Little over two weeks since this topics hasn't been touched as well). In this time Iulan and Rjiuvan Shai had carefully executed a series of attacks and raids on Imperial worlds, the Core, the Colonies, the Expansion Region even the Inner Rim. They have been unstoppable.

Even if the Jeedai Vong, as they had dubbed themselves, were not able to conquer the worlds they have harrassed, their attack had already started to destroy the image of an allmighty Empire.

The attacks had been worthy of any army, they weren't just pirates attacking trade ships, they had made hit-and-fades at Corellia, Bilbringi, Corulag, Yag'Dhul, Balmorra, Tangrene and Carida.

They had destroyed entire fleets of Star Destroyers. Even so, after having been so close to Evaders, Iulan felt that it was pointless, all their effort, all the deaths were infinitesimal in his ultimate goal to destroy Evaders.

The only happy thought in his minds has the healing of Caamas. Thanks to Jeedai Vong shapers Caamas had been returned to life, Iulan had insisted to bring flora and fauna local to the galaxy so that it could coexist with the Vong own flora and fauna.

The barren brown world was now green and alife, it's waters that had been polluted due the use of chemical weapons were now crystal clear. Had it not been for the missing Caamasi, the restored Caamas could have been just like the old one.

Rjiuvan had insisted on fortifying one of the moons, and the others were seeded with coral seeds. In time they would turn new coralskippers.

The situation of the war was complicated. Apparently many regions are enduring a communications blackout, relaystations had been destroyed, sector capitals had fallen. Chaos ruled the galaxy. On occasion Iulan would go to some planets and try to acquire some information, eventually Rjiuvan and Iulan would survey the debris of destroyed Imperial Star Destroyers to look for updated information. Decoding it by using the codes on Iulan's Defender.

Sketchy details had surfaced.

The main Yuuzhan Vong fleet, still lead by Overlord Shimraa, had been unstoppable since Tatooine, much of the Outer and Mid Rim had fallen, planets destroyed, entire populations wiped out or enslaved. The Rebel Alliance had reduced itslef considerably. Before the invasion it had been able to control almost a third of the galaxy now it controlled alone a ninth of the entire galaxy, most of its worlds on the brink of being conquered by the Vong. The Empire, held its front but was weak within, rendering it susceptible to the "mysterious Vong factions" that had attacked in the recent weeks. Some of the stuff, (especially the ones regarding the Rebels) Iulan considered to be still part of Imperial propaganda, other though as the isolated regions that had been out of touch since the beginn of the invasion about one and a half years ago...

Iulan could not help but look astonished at that fact. It had been a long time, after all.

All of it disappeared of a sudden.

His thoughts raced back tot he matter at hand.

Rjiuvan Shai stood tall and imposing waiting for the last minutes of ravel in darkspace to come to an end.

They did. Below them Esseles glowed intensely. Above it the Rendili StarDrive yards and even nearer about two dozen of old Dreadnaughts, considering the ammassed Jeedai Vong fleet, the battle would be short.

It was.

In less than an hour Iulan and Rjiuvan were on tehir way back to Alderaan.

Troubling thought affected Iulan...

Guest Scathane

Scathane was en route to Silver Station. His ship was quietly cutting through hyperspace and if he looked out of the main porthole, he could see stars humming past the ship on all sides in stretched, straight lines. It was a view he had come to enjoy in his many pace travels: he felt it was soothing. However, the scenery was not the primary thing on his mind right now, it was the shuttle.

There were two things that were bugging him about this ship. The first was the general makeup of the ship: it was equipped with more than the normal two forward-facing double laser cannons, two wing-mounted double cannons, ten rear-facing double laser cannons, extra hull plating as well as enhanced shield generators, its cargo space was fitted with extra proton torpedo and missile launchers and a ludricously fast 0.8 hyperdrive. This together with the pitch-black, light-absorbing quality of the ship made it clear that it was a covert ops vessel. The fact that the shuttle’s AI seemed to warn its user for other Imperial ships and even had the possibility of jamming their communications, confirmed this. What really surprised him, though, was that it took him almost no effort to work the controls. In fact, the ship seemed to cooperate with him! It had been ready for takeoff when he entered it, it had warned him for other Imperial ships and notified him of tracing activities without him commanding it to do so. This was strange, especially for an Imperial covert ops ship and since he was a Rebel. Surely, the Empire wouldn’t let technology fall into enemy hands so easily. One would sooner expect a ship like this to self-destruct when not knowing recognizing its pilot.

Thinking about this, Scathane could only think of two possible explanations. The first was that he was being set up. After all, it had been ridiculously easy to track and follow Jaxi, and she was flying a vessel of the same fashion. On the other hand, he had to admit; he didn’t have a clue as to why he would be set up. This made it difficult to follow that line of reasoning. Scathane decided he would recognize the risk but dismiss it for now. The second explanation he came up with was almost to baffling to believe: the ship recognized him as its pilot! Apart from the ship being highly cooperative, it had contained clothing in his size and even the covert ops armour had fitted him like a glove. Of course, this could be a coincidence… He decided to check the ship’s logs.

In going over the log files, there was something that bothered Scathane: there seemed to be a section he couldn’t access. Normally, he would be fine with this: it was a covert ops ship, after all. What bugged him about it though, was that since the ship had been so cooperative with him before, then why not now? He kept stumbling on an encrypted part of the logs which kept prompting him for an authorization, an authorization which he didn’t have. He had tried cracking the code by all ways he new of: binary, Huttese Smuggling Therses, Imperial Encryption I, II and III, Geonosian Click Coding, Kuat Drive Encryption and a lot of other obscure codes and encryption methods. Still, he got no results.

He was getting fed up with trying and his mind drifted off to the other possibility he had thought of; that he was being set up. He sighed: there was too much he didn’t understand. Jaxi obviously new him and had referred to him as the Chir’daki numerous times. “Deathseed”… Why would she call him Deathseed? He new that chir’daki referred to small spores from a parasitic fungus, native to Ryloth. When inhaled, these spores invade the body and slowly go havoc on the victim’s internal organs; not a very complimenting nickname indeed. And then there was that other thing she had called him: “Tchun-tchin…” Now this referred to Twi’leki headtails, or lekku, and he knew from his studies on Yavin 4 that the term was also used as an endearing nickname for loved ones. She had probably used the term in sarcasm but still, she had sounded sad when she showed him her tattoo… They definitely had some shared experiences in the past… And then it struck him: he had not yet tried Lekku Encryption! As was well known, Twi’leks are able to communicate secretively and unnoticed by using only their lekku; it was used widely by Twi’leki females sold into slavery throughout the galaxy, since it was their only way of communicating without their slavers noticing. As the Twi’leks fanned over the universe as individual fortune seekers, they became more inventive with modern technology. One of them, Bib Fortuna, had devised an encryption method in which he had translated Twi’leki lekku movement to and encryption method which could be used for relaying messages across the galaxy. He had kept his own secretive deals and scams hidden from his master, Jabba the Hut, in this way for years. After the fall of Jabba’s reign, Rebel agents had found his extensive notes on the method and brought it to Yavin 4 for study. Scathane started on the console again. It was hard, since he hadn’t much experience with Lekku Encryption. Nevertheless, he kept trying and after a few attempt was able to get the first code entered: Chir’daki…. The screen whizzed and bleeped, and then produced the same unfriendly sound, indicating the code was wrong. He tried others… “Tchun-tchin”: nothing; “Ma-allesh”: nothing; “Kocceille”: nothing… He kept on it for another hour and still had no luck: he was getting frustrated. Finally, he bashed the console and set back with a sigh. “I give up,” he said to himself…

And then he saw it… The Twi’leki way of seeing things, not fighting but going along… The enslaved female attitude other species mistook for submissiveness was actually a part of their culture… “One cannot ride a heat storm, one must ride it…” Scathane got back to the console and entered “Do chonda”…, “I fold”…

With a high-pitched, friendly tone, the console lit up and bright letters flashed on the screen: Authorization accepted. Lists, options and menus began to flash across the screen and the computer voice said: “Welcome, Commander Chir’daki…”

The Ocean Blue cam out of hyperspace around Esseles. The fleet there was devasted but the Vong were preparing to withdraw and were cought of guard. Evan quickly rushed to his fighter.

"OK Shadow squad we're outnumbered badly here but they're suprised we hit them as hard as we can and leave." Evan frowned thye were to late to save the people even if they were imps. the fleet had been trying to find a good way to hit the Vong when they recived the distress signal. Before he could think to deeply though his first taget presented itself. "engage the skips. hopefully we can get past them fast enough to hit the big ships."

After an hour long battle against the aged Dreadnaughts that had orbited Esseles Iulan had been surprised to see a new fleet emerging from hyperspace. It wasn't, as he had dreaded, an Imperial fleet, instead it was a Rebel fleet. Not much to see actually, a couple of Neb-Bs, one Calamari Cruiser, one of the old ones, at that, and lots of converted freighters. And as usual about six squadron of fighters.

Iulan closed his eyes to think on the situation.

Rjiuvan Shai was no fool he had already recognized the affiliation of the recently arrived fleet. It was the one group Iulan would never throw the hammer of Jeedai Vong might, for a heartbeat the Vong warmaster feared that his Jeedai, would shy away from the battle. Leave the Rebels behind and put the Alderaan base at danger, not too mention their reputation. Hunted away by ksk'ra krib!

Iulan's eyes opened and his green irisblazed with fire.

"I will deal with them."

It was a bold move, Rjiuvan and Iulan knew that. Iulan ran off to the hangar without awaiting a reply Rjiuvan ordered his fleet to regroup in a classic Gjin Krad formation.

Now as the Rebel fighters came closer Rjiuvan closed his eyes murmured a prayer for his young friend and waited.

Iulan exited rapidly on his TIE Defender, coralskipper had withdrawn to the capital ships keeping out of sight of the Rebel Fighters. Iulan in his cloaked vessel deccelerated down to 2/3 throttle and reviewed the fighters in battle. Ocean Squadron, Gem Squadron, and other three squadrons he hadn't heard of, Iulan assumed they were squadron reformed and recreated in the course of the war. One of the fighter squadron rang a bell in his mind.

Shadow Squadron.

After Emerald Squadron and before his tranfer to Immortal Squad Iulan had been offered a position in Shadow Squadron.

The Holonet had claimed that Shadow Squad had been destroyed at Tatooine, but as many other things it was only a half-truth.

Iulan reached to the minds of the pilots in the squadron, he recognized only a few. none of them he had known well, not well enough to try to pull a mind trick while flying a ship.

So, he had to do it the hard way. With icy determination he pointed at the leader of Shadow Squad and fired and fired.

Rjiuvan noticed the sudden and confused halt of the Rebel fighters.

It had been one at first but more and more came to a sudden halt, they had been disable left as rocks in space.

Iulan continued squeezing the trigger, and more ion shots were fired at the valiant rebel fleet. Confused, the fightersquadron broke away, and the coralskippers started to arrive, but they omitted the stopped fighters and started to shoot at the captial vessels, like swarms of flies they assaulted the Neb Bs and the Calamari Vessel.

But they weren't shooting at the engines, only at the tractor beam projectors and the sensors stations. AFter the capital ships were as blind as a hawkbat the coralskipps withdrew, with minimal losses on their sides and none on the rebel side.

the few fighters that hadn't been disabled had been called off early in the battle.

The Jeedai Vong fleet regrouped and started their run on the hyperspace vectory the one of the many in t he shake-down course to head for Alderaan.

Iulan was certain that Rjiuvan would not be happy of having to deal with the Rebels like this, it would hamper their reputation, and might even encourage REbels to strike in the core, not too mention today's timewaste, they had needed twice as much to deal with the Rebel fleet as they had with the imperial defenders.

A hopeful thoguht then emerged in his mind, one he would save up for later times.

He smiled and entered into the Chariot's hangar.

OOC: Sorry Darky, i couldn't give you that much action, but at least i didn't kill you. I had forgotten about this battle a while ago, (i wrote that almost a month ago).

The more he knew about the Yuuzhan Vong the more he was impressed by their ways of life. It had been a little over a year and a half since he had joined Rjiuvan Shai, in little more than two weeks after their first meeting that Warmaster had opned him to the differents qha'sas, he had been made familiar to the strategic an scientific knowledge from the Yuuzhan Vong... Even so only a week ago he had discovered sages, legends and tales from the Yuuzhan Vong. They were mostly fables for the warriors, tales of war and death, honor and the Gods. Iulan could not help but find them very interesting, the ones regarding the Gods were really interesting...

It was these legends that had troubled him so deeply.

The death of Gods.

There was always a catastrophe. A devastating and inexorable event, only after that came the reshaping, the reconstruction. And peace.

The incident at Esseles had fed him with hope, with a new race of Yuuzhan Vong that honor the ways of warriors, but do not kill out of greed, or lust.

As well the people of the Rebel Alliance would face that not all the Yuuzhan Vong are blood-thirsty beings.

This particular link that he had established, a bridge between his own galaxy and the Yuuzhan Vong universe, had opened a new path. Caamas, Esseles, Alderaan all of them are milestones in this new way.

It was a difficult road and certainly many would not make it. Iulan even doubted of seeing himself at the end of the road.

His only goal was to destroy Palpatine, to purify the galaxy. Beyond that he dared not to think, nor hope, nor fear.

Iulan closed his eyes and laid on his bed.

In matter of seconds he was asleep.

OOC: im gettink sick of you Vong winning every semi-large battle. ;)

IC: Evan stood in front of shadow squad. "well men you're not going to like hwat i have to say.for some reason those vong didn' want us dead. i have no idea why but if they don't want us dead lets keep it that way ... for now. hopefully the imps can hold them off for a while" he knew what he was about to say next would have a negative impact. "so we're going to raid the other Vong for 3 more monthes" then came the groans. they had already raided the vong for three monthes and now they were going back. "Hopefully we softened em up a bit last time"

OOC: if you don't know what i mean read the shadow squad thread.

IC: "dismissed" what would happen next no one could even begin to imagine...

OOC: Elvis is supreme Vong Shimraa, since he comes back you have to be comfortable with medium raids.

IC:

In the Core.

Iulan allowed himself a half-smile, anything more than a half-smile would have attracted undesirable looks, anything less might give him the label of being an Imperial spy.

The occasion had deserved that half-smile, it was a smile of hope, and of simple happiness. It had been months since he had walked the streets of any city. To be able to move calmly through Hanna City was a pleasure. The air intoxicated him with the smell of the ocean, and just the odor of peace.

Iulan had come to the planet as an observer for the Jeedai Vong. Rjiuvan and he had agreed that a military attack on Chandrila would be useless because it would in no way affect the Imperial hierarchy and instead would do Evaders a favor to scare and hurt the Chandrilans.

He had come to see how affected had been Chandrila by the spoils of war. As a core-world it had escape the isolation of other outer rim worlds, who even in this moment would be cut off from the galaxy. While Chandrila had not suffered much, the people were scared, the Holonet came loaded with reports from defeat after defeat, Imperial propaganda had even communicated that the Jedi Skywalker and the Supreme Commander of Rebel Forces in the Rim, General Miggell had died, and that the Alliance had been crushed. The names of Kuat, Esseles, and rumors of Coruscant were murmured in cafes, and markets. He picked rumors of the Vong, some farfetched theories, other sensationalist.

Chandrilan economy was stressed, Evaders had just yesterday demanded a raise in the wartaxes to build up a stronger military, and defeat the Vong. (Imperial proganda, claimed that the defeats were part of a deceptive tactic, to give the Vong time to annihilate the Alliance, and only after that destroy the Yuuzhan Vong.

In the tap-café he felt a very distinctive presence.

A tremor in the Force, an echo, a weak presence.

He turned and eyed the people in the café. All of them looked normal. That was very suspicious, he took out a credit chip and put it in the table and left. It was time to go. Too bad, I really like this place

he walked to the spaceport where he'd leave in the small freighter that he had salvaged from the battle for Kessel.

He entered the spaceport and headed for his lading bay, and as if some strange presence he grabbed for lightsaber and ignited it.

A figure appeared from behind some crates.

"Who are you?" Iulan said.

The man laughed lightly and warmly.

"It's me, S'Tor, Iulor Gra'Nda," the man said and removed his dark cloak. Iulan could easily recognize the man that had lead Immortal Squadron.

"I bring you some informat..." he never had time to speak, from one of the entries a group of dark armored commandos entered and started shooting at the old Jedi.

After surviving a travel to another galaxy, and escaping Evaders purge it was pathethic to see him fall to laser fire.

Without a second thought Iulan jumped and used his lightsaber to deflect shots. He then cut down the commandos.

He dealt with them very fast, either by his own anger or that they had already completed their mission, and needed not to live another day.

Iulan rushed to the old Jedi.

"Why are you here?" Iulan asked.

The man bathed in blood tried to open his mouth, and one single world escaped his throat. "Yyyyyyyaaaaaavn".

Then he faded into nothingness.

He left the planet without looking back. He would be give Rjiuvan a detailed report on the rumors of the galaxy, but the mention of the Jedi's death and the mention of Yavin he kept for himself...

Only time would tell what he would find there, and only the Force would dictate when he should go there.

OOC: i just would peffer anyone who would pose as a vong commander.

IC: "OK shadow squad we have a squad of skips inbound an two corvettes."it was a month into the raiding and everything had gone well so far his squad quickly cut throw the skips and corvettes clearly the piolits weren't very experienced."36 skips from the destoryer we have them outnubered 2 to 1 though,"came antilliles's voice. They fell even quicker and by the time they got to the destroyer the ships in the rebel fleet had it near destruction. IT was a easy kill.

A few days later....

"Ok man we're going to go with the rest of the fleet on a major strike hopefully it should be easy the target is undecided yet..

OOC: if anyone would like to jump in..

The world below their ship had a name. As most inhabited worlds have.

The world below their fleet had a significant position in the Galactic Empire. A position few worlds have.

The world below the dozens of Jeedai Vong fleet had no escape.

Carida was the name of the world. The "stormtrooper factory" of the galaxy.

"Decades ago, stormtrooper were indeed manufactured," Iulan commented. Rjiuvan stared at him, asking him to elaborate.

"Just at the begin of Evaders's reign, the core of the Imperial fleet was made up of clones, they were turned out in absurdly high amounts from Kamino, Bselbe, Ortnac and almost another half dozen worlds. Now there are still clones, but most of the Imperial soldiers are now conscripted from worlds.

Rjiuvan swore. "Conscripted warriors? Created ones? The Empire is doomed, it's own methods are unworthy. To force men to be warriors, to go to war must be a duty to the Gods, to the Force, to oneself."

Iulan smiled grimly.

"How proceeds the bombarment?"

A controller came nearer and bowed.

"The planetary shields are falling rapidly. They are at 60%."

Iulan eyed the Warmaster who nodded at him.

Iulan and Rjiuvan had planned every contingence, they had also considered that the Imperial would try to "outsmart" the Yuuzhan Vong. They had even thought five steps ahead of each Imperial desperate defense plan.

Imperial detection software had a lot of difficulties with Yuuzhan Vong vessel, anything with a dovin basal was, for Imperials, a Vong ships.

The bombarment continued. Imperial shield fell drastically in 5% step then at random until it collapsed. As Rjiuvan Shai had predicted it had only been a feint, immediately fire from the ground-based weaponry started firing at the ships leading the Vong fleet.

During that timespan Yuuzhan Vong fighters, and heavy bombers penetrated into the atmosphere, as well as Yuuzhan Vong ground assault vehicles.

Rjiuvan smiled as more ships blew up. He smiled and laughed because he knew something the Imperials did not.

About half his fleet were only dovinbasal equipped asteroids. Huge remains from the planetoid Kessel.

The shield remained open while the last shots scorche a 15 kilometer long asteroid.

"None of the fighters or transports had difficulty in the entry." a controller informed.

"They must have dismissed them for asteroid debris," Iulan offered.

"Target I, destroyed." a cry came from a corner of the Glory Room.

"Fist of Coral engaging TIE Fighters."

"Khaan, first turbolaser battery destroyed. Knab Group targeting the shield generator. "

"Fire breathers have landed, started march towards the academy."

"Group God's Fist facing heavy resistance near the capital."

"Shield Generator disabled."

It was the call they were waiting for.

"Signal the asteroids and the fleet, start the bombardment on the capital and the academy." Iulan said and Rjiuvan prepared the order.

The Imperial Academy world was now another acquisition of the Yuuzhan Vong.

Resistance lasted for a few more days. A week at most. About the time the reshaping began. It was not a total reshaping as they had done on Caamas.

Carida also lost its name.

It became known as Yun-Kard'ah, the Sword of God.

The Ocean Blue jolted out of hyperspace sudenly one hour before it should have. Everyone wasgetting prepared for the battle and they knew this might happened but they were still surprised. It had been threemonthes of raidng and they wer supposed to start a more aggresive attack. Liberating planets. it was really no mre then a buffed up raid clear the planet an leave. But none the lessthey were given a larger force work with.

Guest Scathane

The first thing Scathane tried was to access the log files he couldn’t crack earlier: he got in all right now. He was looking at a bulk load of log files: the system almost seemed to be clogged up with them. It was too much too take in, so he started scanning through the list for anything that looked helpful. He saw line after line of dates, entries regarding the Empire, the Rebellion, the Vong; it was incredible! He now had access to a databank loaded with sensitive intel! He looked at the board computer’s trajectory counter: only one and a half hours until he reached Silver Station. He looked up the term ‘Chir’daki’ and found several files relating to it; one of it was marked as a personnel file, although it was highly classified. His authorization level seemed to have no trouble accessing it, however. When he opened the file, he was stunned! He couldn’t believe what he was looking at. He blinked his eyes, rubbed them, slapped himself in the face and looked again, but nothing changed what he saw on the screen, next to a photograph of his face, albeit somewhat younger:

    • Name: Solomon, Jared Minx
    • Callsign: Chir’daki
    • Force-sensitive: Confirmed
    • Force-ranking: Sith Knight
    • Affilliation: Sith, Galactic Empire, Blackhole, Sith Saya Sesenta
    • Rank: Lieutenant General
    • Senior officer: Moff Velpin
    • Junior officer: Brigadier Vosa
    • Departments: Special Forces, Intelligence
    • Current Status: M.I.A.

    • Race: Human
    • Gender: Male
    • Place of Birth: unknown
    • Date of Birth: unknown
    • History: Classified

Scathane was flabbergasted. This had to be some sort of sick joke! He hadn’t spent ten years fighting for the Rebel Alliance and believing in their cause, just to find out he was an Imperial commander! It couldn’t be true! He bashed the console and angrily arose from his seat. He kicked the chair and started walking aimlessly about the ship. It couldn’t be!

After a while, Scathane calmed down; he realized there was no point in being angry and not having anything to direct it at. So, he went back to the console and looked at his file again. Now, suppose, this was true, then how did he end up at the Rebellion? Why did he wake up in some cantina in Mos Eisley ten years ago? If he was a Sith (although he still found that thought too preposterous to take seriously), then why would they have let him go so easily? Since had no memory when he woke up in the cantina, the Empire must have erased it or, at least, suppressed it. He had to know more about this and he looked up Velpin. Unfortunately, Velpin appeared to be missing in action as well, just as Brigadier Vosa (whom he assumed was Jaxi), when he looked up their files. He tried other entries, but found nothing about the Sith Saya Sesenta or other interesting leads. He only found out he was a Lieutenant General in the Special Forces unit of the Galactic Empire. The only other thing he found out, was that Fleet Admiral Socl had a connection to the Special Forces as well, so perhaps the man could tell him more.

As if by chance, a warning sound told him he was nearing Silver Station. He immediately set to scanning the area for any ships but there were none… yet.

“Good,” he thought, “This at least gives me some time to prepare for Socl’s arrival..."

Travel through hyperspace, was like immersing oneself in a bubble and cut off from the rest of the universe.

For hours one was not here nor there.

Elegaie had little time for such thoughts, although he ignored where he was headed or which system he had left. He had lost track of time, for a long time he had remained safely hidden on the Punisher.

Elegaie knew he had to thank Vergere for that. The more he thought about that the more confused he was. As a Jedi he dismissed coincidence and casual events, because the Force guided every action.

With Vergere it was another matter entirely, there was nothing certain with her, her every thoughts where guided by coincidence and casuality. Or at least that was Elegaie's impression of her.

He had seen her several times, but he had not spoken to her yet. Garth was sleeping next to him, while Elegaie remained away, eventually every three or four days, Elegaie would allow himself a Jedi trance to heal and restore energies.

Every now and then Garth would try to learn something of the Vong, or their location. After Tatooine they had been to Hoth, Endor and other worlds already renamed to Yuuzhan Vong terms.

There was little mention of the war, or of its evolution.

At times the pain and extinction of the living Force of slaves and captives was felt by Elegaie, who could not help but to close his eyes and immerse himself in a trance.

Then it came, as a shockwave from a distant corner from the galaxy. It was not only the extinction of a flame, it was as if a burning forest had been destroyed in a single strike.

Iulor Gra'Nda had died.

The moment of its death came in the Force, it felt pathethic and unworthy of a man who had lived and seen more than what he was meant to.

Only I remain then, only I still know my dark secret.

Elegaie looked again around him.

The thought of death had changed his perspective. He knew, he had always known, he could not possibly expect to remain there. He had to think of Garth and Iulan and ... and Scathane.

He knew Garth well enough, and he had known Iulan whose immensely strong presence in the Force he could pick even from this greay distance.

But Scathane was... well... particular. Elegaie believed he had felt the Force in Scathane, but it had felt supressed, buried. Elegaie had been afraid to unleash it, basically out of fear of what Igoru Samos was capable of.

Clear your head, old friend, if you are planning to escape, you have only one choice

Elegaie paused.

Vergere? Will you help me? I need to escape, but I do not seek to spill more blood, not even Yuuzhan Vong blood

Elegaie felt her mental assentment and her instruction to leave their secret hideaway.

Garth and Elegaie walked through empty corridor, every now and then receiving a mental instruction to change their direction. They made into a hangar. It was almost empty. Despite Vergere's presence there, Elegaie wished to be rather in an empty hangar.

Next to Vergere was an unmistakable man, one Elegaie had hoped to find amidst the captives and slaves: Igoru Samos.

"You still don't like me." Igoru said.

Elegaie turned to face Vergere.

"It has been too long."

"We are relics, old friend. Despite our best efforts the galaxy is not ours to forge, but it is for the Iulan S'tors, the Scathanes, and even the Igorus."

"Has this been the goal of my silent captivity?" Elegaie asked, remembering how much Vergere loved these games.

"You have had you time to think and rethink your actions and goals. You are the Jedi, you tell me."

"What are you then?" Elegaie asked.

"I am nothing, Elegaie, I died ages ago in this galaxy, Vergere ceased to exist when she left with the Yuuzhan Vong."

"As did I, when I killed the Yuuzhan Vong. We are not relics, we are ghosts from a past age."

"Ghosts that refuse to believe they actually are dead."

Elegaie embraced this knowledge, it had been the truth in the dark. The final and silent answer to his life, to the events of the past.

"Iulor has died."

"The first to actually realize the truth." Vergere said. "He decided to die, in time you will see why he chose to do so."

"Come with me, Vergere."

"I have too decided to die, in due time, I have much to do." She answered and left.

"Come on, Caamasi, I've been too long on this ship, if you hurry I might even be nice and not get in your thoughts." Igoru taunted him. Muttering silently a thank to Vergere, who had taught him several important lessons in the past time.

"Garth, are able to fly this?"

The groggy human nodded.

"Yes, I believe I can."

"Let's prepare the ship, as soon as the Punisher leaves hyperspace, we will leave. Igoru, do you know where we are?"

The Sith warrior smiled.

"Certainly you highly Force-attuned Jedi Master, we will arrive at a certain planet called Bothawui!"

Elegaie was shocked but said nothing.

Silently they prepared their craft and exted the hangar shorly after the reversion to normal space.

They found themselves facing a medium Rebel fleet, around them was an unbelievably monstrous Yuuzhan Vong fleet.

"Bothawui will fall."

"Without any doubt." GArth agreed.

"And wait until you see the little surprises the Vong hve for them." Igoru added. Let's hurry to the Rebel fleet, and from there we will try to convince them to escape.

"The Bothans will not like it." Igoru taunted.

"Can we communicate with the Rebel fleet?" Elegaie asked.

"Samos, take the controls, I'll try to fix the villip with some of my stuff."

"Since when does the insignificant slicer order me around?" Igoru spat.

"Obey him, Sith!" Elegaie said while Garth fized something onto the villip.

"It might just work," the slicer spoke to himself. "give it a try!"

Elegaie touched the villip and spoke into it.

"This is the Team Punish 1, answer please." Elegaie said.

"Convince them to prepare us some Nagraki Muj-Ribs for dinner!" Igoru said.

Interference came from the villip. Then again.

"This is Shadow 1, come again."

"Nagraki Muj-Ribs for dinner!" Igoru yelled and laughed aloud.

"Idiotic Sith!" Garth said, and he could clearly hear Igoru's response and a sudden tight in his neck.

"Samos leave him."

"Shadow 1 this is Team Punish 1, we need an escort to the Rebel Flagship, and leave the system as soon as possible, we have confirmed the use of some unpleasantries on behalf of the Vong."

"Confirmed, uh? That much trust on me, old Caamasi?" Igoru asked.

"Silence, Igoru."

The battle had begun.

OOC: You might try to put your charming Supreme Overlord personality in action as well....

IC:

The lamentable remains of the Rebel fleet had barely made it as far as Kothlis.

After three hours of battle, the Rebel fleet had been unable to do much damage to the Yuuzhan Vong fleet; the Punisher, had acted up to its name and had punished the entire Rebel fleet. More than three quarters of the hundred starships gathered for the defense of Bothawui had been mercilessly destroyed.

The rest had been seriously damaged, the crews of the twenty-odd ships completely demoralized. After seeing so many comrades and friends fall in a lost battle and see the full power of the Punisher in action, there was still more sufferment for them. The announced unpleasantries, Igoru spoke of, had arrived, three worldships, all of them loaded with coralskippers, and small frigates, and lots of plasma spitting creatures attached to them had come to finish of the Rebel fleet.

The captain of one of the few remaining Mon Cal cruisers, a CRL40 (the biggest surviving vessel), had issued the order to withdraw.

Through the open channel the Bothan leadership had screamed desperately, accusing the Rebels of traitors, and speaking a vengeance oath against the commander of the CRL 40, to the Yuuzhan Vong, and just after the REbel fleet entered hyperspace, the desperate Bothan extended their oath of revenge to each of the surviving members of the taskforce, from the captains down to the maintenance crews and even the droids.

That alone had depressed the troops more.

After they arrived on Kothlis they were quickly chased away by the defending Bothan ships.

The Yuuzhan Vong, have won much with this battle, Elegaie thought for himself. They have put the Bothans against all. Great victory. Igoru mentally answered.

You seem to forget Igoru, that the Bothans have allies, both in Imperial and Rebel space, and that they have their furry little hands all over Imperial and Rebel interests.

"Your Alliance has started to break apart, just as the Republic did in its time." Igoru said.

"What will become of the Empire then?"

"The Empire is Evaders, should he die, then the galaxy is doomed. But he still is safe on Coruscant. Unlike your precious leaedership. The Bothans are gone for good. They either will become part of the genetic raw material for the Vong, or else they will remain enemies of the Alliance. The Mon Cals cannot do more for you. Bakura has been destroyed. Sullust, Sluis Van, Tatooine, Ryloth all of them have been erased from the map. What is still for you? Kashyyyk? Can the Wookiees stop them? I somehow don't believe that? Or would you rather have the Rebels plead the Hutts for help?" Igoru said.

"Your Empire is not in a better position, the other Vong group that has been attacking the Core in the past months has strained Imperial resources. A lightning strike on Coruscant, Kuat and Esseles without their shipyards, and now the rumors of Carida. Bilbringi and Fondor will also be affected soon and then what. The Imperial warmachine will strain Ord Trasi and Wistril, and who knows what else. Have the Corellian Diktat serve the Empire?" Elegaie replied.

Garth had waken up and listened to the conversation wiht interest.

"Will Evaders take a shuttle to the Unknown Regions and rule from there?"

Igoru smiled, "That's not a bad idea at all. The Unknown Regions."

Elegaie was certain that his last comment had uncovered something else. Something that still had to do with the Unknown Regions.

"The point is, the galaxy is in shambles, we're just trying to travel from one piece to another without falling in the hands of the Yuuzhan Vong." Garth said.

"Where are we headed at all?" Igoru asked, obeying Rebel isntructions he had just send the ship into hyperspace without checking were he was headed at all.

"Corewards along the Corellian Run." Garth said. "But I don't know where exactly. Elegaie?"

"Not Corellia, that much I know. But still farther than the Expansion Region. Last rumors came that parallel to Bothawui the Yuuzhan Vong had executed assaults on Druckenwell, Kalarba, Falleen and surprisingly Tynna. There were some very faint references to losses at M'Haeli, Malastare and that scouts were sighted near Yag'Dhul." Elegaie said.

"The Vong are gunning for Thyferra and Fondor then."

"Not too mention a road to the Core along the Run, and the Trade Spine."

"And then crush what remains of the civilized galaxy in the Core, between their Outer Rim Force and the ones that have been attacking the Core." Igoru finished. "Anyone wanting to guess what our next loss will be? Anyone? I'm betting Devaron!" Igoru laughed. Laughed diabocally as Elegaie shut his senses, and entered a peaceful Jedi trance. Peace in the middle of the storm...

Evan stood before his pilots. "Ok men the other vong forces have attacked us we have annoyed the main force verymuch and stopped their aggresion for a time. We are to move against the other vong force usuing the same tactics. If we do enough damage we may give the empire time to regroup and counter attack while we can move back to the main force" Evan heard the groans. He knew ty would be coming they had already raided or so long with few breaks but they were having an effect. The main force had been stopped for a time. It we be back attacking soon but most of the rebel fleet was going to wait and hope to draw them ito a trap that would have a major effect. There were two small task forces to raid the other vong.

OOC: Actually I do... But I'll see what I can do... Since you didn't specify a world. I'll choose it. I hope you like Antar 4..

IC:

Even on their safe reduct on Alderaan Iulan and Rjiuvan had learnt of the devastating defeat at Bothawui.

That Bothan Space should be lost wasn't surprising. It was, though, that it fell so early. From the Corellian Run the Yuuzhan Vong had now an advantage for future incursions into the Core. Additionally came the news of a wave of attacks near Yag'Dhul, lead by Supreme Overlord Shimraa himself.

Rjiuvan had made his point clear that in over a millenia nor Supreme Overlord had lead a battle personally, more less used worldships in battle so openly and carelessly. Even so the results of his strategem were undeniable as the galaxy had had the chance to witness. And the Rebel Alliance in the front row.

Rjiuvan cursed aloud as another Blaze Bug in their Galactic map changed its color.

Tynna.

"They have started their final push." Iulan said, and Rjiuvan snorted.

"Such carelessness suggests two things for the Yuuzhan Vong, their commander is really able, which I know that Shimraa isn't," he spat, "or they keep advancing because behind their front line they are particularly weak."

Iulan took that comment to heart and examined the map again. Iulan was sure that the entire galxy had made the same mistake he had. He had only cared for their frontline and had not given a second thought to the worlds behind. The Minos Cluster, the Senex-Juvex Sectors, and the Elrood Sector were particularly weak and poor, even scarcely populated.

Alone the Sluis and the Sesswenna Sector were rich in the Outer Rim. But as Imperial sources had indicated, a fleet of Victory Destroyers combined with some few Rebel Squadron had halted the advance of the Yuuzhan Vong Forces there. The Imperial officers seeing Sluis Van threatened, chose to ravage the planet with toxic chemicals and destroy the shipyards, rescuing of course, the engineers at work there. All the population from the Imperial governor down to every single Sluissi died in the most horrible manner. There were rumors of Rebel fleets trying to attack the Yuuzhan Vong strike force from behind. Rumors of the Rebel surfacing near the destroyed Bakura had eventually made its way to the core.

The Yuuzhan Vong seemed to have the same problem the Empire had. A small band of renegades refusing to acknowlegde defeat and using guerrilla tactics to attack them. It was unmistakably the spirit of the Rebel Alliance.

"The more hurt they are, the stronger they will push." Rjiuvan said and pointed at one of the blaze bugs.

"The Gotals?"

"They have already enough humans, they need more varied races for their creations."

Iulan nodded.

"What is our course of action?"

"I obey your orders, Iulan. You are the Jeedai Knight." Rjiuvan said.

"I see myself in a position where my only option is to ask your help to defend Antar 4. Even if it means battling worldships, and not expecting victory."

"A most interesting challenge." Rjiuvan said followed by a warprayer.

The issue was settled.

In twelve hours the biggest fleet gathered by Rjiuvan Shai entered hyperspace. Soon enough they would be at Antar Four.

Shimraa was angry. The people around him noticed his anger. The growing pile of bodies, he himself had killed made it obvious.

The bodies belonged to those unfortunate souls that had had the assignment of bringing him the news of the worlds behind their frontline of warships. Insurrections at Bpfassh, sabotage at Praesitlyn and always more Imperial agents. Priest demanding more sacrifices, and the shaper asking Rjiuvan not to give some many aliens to the priests. And warriors dying each day at the hand of incompetent commanders that would soon enough be found with one of Shimraa's claw in his throat or evaporated by turbolaser fire. He had lost the two best Warmaster he had brought early in the war. Shedao Shai had fallen during a battle and his treacherous, crechè brother had been the first to speak heresies at Shimraa and had betrayed him. Shimraa had cared little for his fate. The only thing he knew was of his alliance with the Jeedai...

The more messengers came the more daring attacks he planned, right now he was considering an attack on Mrlsst.

The door opened, the soldier spoke of a catastrophe near Sullust.

Mrlsst was off. Antar Four was next. The shapers had been demanding Gotals, their ability to sense mental moods and also detect Jeedai, was very valuable.

Shimraa laughed and barked an order. His worldships, along with the Punisher left Yag'Dhul behind.

Soon enough they would arrive at Antar Four.

Rjiuvan's task force exited hyperspace with the Chariot in lead.

To his surprise there wasn't a sign of Shimraa's fleet instead there were numerous Rebel ships, and entire swarms of Rebel fightercraft.

"We shoudl withdraw, the Rebels are in position."

"To the outskirts of the system, Rjiuvan this fleet can't handle worldships, much less the Punisher."

"Yes."

An angry roar came from Rjiuvan.

"The Rebels have brought a krahl-cursed Interdictor."

Iulan knew not what to do.

The Rebels moved forward to attack the would-be defenders of Antar Four. Iulan gave an order that hurt him deep down.

"Prepare for battle. Focus on their starfighters, their are the most grave threat, have some ships try to attack the Interdictor."

"Yes," Rjiuvan nodded and turned to give orders to his crew. He was the Warmaster after all.

Iulan closed his eyes and hoped that Shimraa's Force would come quickly. If only to show the Rebel which the real threat was.

Through the Force he raced through the constellations of Rebel minds.

Again his lost comrades, members of Shadow Squad and Emerald Squad.

If only the Immortal were here...

OOC: i was going for a raiding campain but ill have that after this glourius victory i guess. :D

IC: "Ok boys we have the vong right where we want then. We'll be playing on the defence for the first part of the battle. If we can keep the interdictor we can deal this blong a fatal blow and give the imperials time to counter-attack." The battle went very well at first. The rebel forces had no trouble defeating the first few waves but the skips kept coming. The capitol ship battle was going well for the rebels but an attack by the fighters could get some of the skips of the intredictor and give the rebels a decisive edge. "Shadow squad we're going against the cruiser on the left edge. Destroy anything you can on the way remember we want to attract attention. Shadow squad easily destroyed the current wave which was retreating and suprised to have been pursued. "One flight we have the corvette on the right. Two flight take the left and three cover us" The corvettes are blown through quickly and the frigate in back of them has the same fate. "24 skips coming from the cruiser and another 24 from behind us we're trapped," came five's voice. "And the next wave is going for the intredictor we may have taken some of their attention of it but if we get destroyed here the next wave should easily take it down" Evan quickley thought. If they went back the way the way they came they would not have done much and the intredictor would still fall soon and even if they did there was no gurantee they'd even make it. "Ok we have to tear through the skips quickly. Then we go for the cruiser. We should be able to lose some of the skips on our tailt hrough that and we'll attract more attention. "What then?" 9 said. "We will figure it out if we make it that far"

Supreme Overlord Shimraa dropped the Punisher out of dark space a couple of minute early. As the priests had warned him, the blaze bugs showed a chaotic battle, with masses of Rebels, and most of the traitor Shai's fleet engaging each other. A newly educated set of blaze bugs changed shades to indicate that the rebels had one of those accursed interdictors. Shimraa had only brrought two worldships with him, Revenge, and Haven.

"We will me a small jump in-system" snapped a tired and irratable overlord.

"Revenge and Haven will flank the interdictor and oblifericate it, we will cut a swwath of suffering and torment through Shai's fleet. Then we retreat to consolidate our territory. There are too many insurrections at present which we must deal with."

With a flash of engine wash, two worldships dropped out of dark spacec, dwarfing the interdictor. Thousands of plasma bolt rained down on it, litterally superheating the hull, causing it to explode in mere seconds due to an immense overload of heat.

Evan had finished clearing up a wing of skips when it happened.

"Merciful gods! They're gone, annihilated! Shadow squad, get out of here before she blows. Engage skips around our mother ship. If the Punisher is on the way, we're in trouble!"

As if on cue the Punisher dropped out of hyperspace, directly to one side of Shai's valient fleet. The Punisher started to cut a swath through the fleet, flash boilng analogue and skips dissapearing in waves of plasma.

evan called out, "all rebel starfighters, circle round and follow the Punishers path, hes cutting a way for us to stop the First vong fleet from retreating now our interdictor is gone!"

soon the Punisher had come out the other side, and along with heer worldship escorts made the jump to dark space...

Iulan and Rjiuvan had seen the Punisher make its early arrival. They had seen him destroy the damned Interdictor and then enterhyperspace destroying on his way out two cruiser analogs. Leaving their exit vector unprotected. Rjiuvan had expressed his anger openly, Iulan on the other hand had repressed it.

"Should we launch the rest of our skips?" Rjiuvan asked.

It was a fair question. Iulan's plan to gloriously stop Shimraa had failed. Instead Iulan had lead the Jeedai Vong forces to their first victory. Unless they unleashed their full arsenal on the Rebel fleet.

The choice was difficult and he knew he couldn't repeat his actions at Esseles. One of the two fleets had to be destroyed. Either his or the Rebels. His anger grew with each heartbeat he thought over the issue.

A glance at the blaze bug conforted him.

The Jeedai Vong were still in numeric advantage. And they had a God with them.

"Rjiuvan launch all coralskippers. I will go myself."

Iulan left to the hangar.

Rjiuvan sat on his command chair and started issuing orders. The Jeedai Vong would not lose today.

The battle atmosphere had changed the Rebels were confused. The apparition and disapparition of the dreaded Yuuzhan vong fleet had distracted them, and somehow it did not make sense to use the heavier ships for a hit-and-fade attack.

The other Vong that had been fighting unwillingly, as it seemed, now were fueled with determination to survive and be the victors.

And then there was the "ghostskip". The invisible skip that kept attacking Rebel fighters....

Iulan targeted an X-Wing at random, to his dismay it was Shadow 1! Iulan remained close behiind him and fired. Four invisble laser shots hit the x-Wing hard. Immediately the pilot began maneuvers to evade his invisble pursuer.

Throught the comm, Iulan could still hear the Rebel chatter through the open channel.

With his left index Iulan changed his weapons and fired again.

Then something hit him, whether it was debris, or another fighter he was uncertain. But the next moment he knew he wasn't invisble anymore.

Someone on the open channel cried.

"TIE DEFENDER! THE IMPS HAVE ARRIVED."

Iulan immediately reached for the villip.

"Rjiuvan how goes the battle?"

"Well, we have destroyed 30% of Rebel Forces."

"Do we have an exit vector?"

"Yes, it is clear."

"Flee, Imperials are coming."

Immediately the coralskipper around him began to withdraw.

To no avail. The exit vector was closed again, this time by six massive Imperial-II Star Destroyer and support vessels.

The combined Imperial-Rebel fleet was now in a superior position.

"it was time,"Iulan decided for the suprise they had prepared."

That is, if we live long enough.

The vong fleet already appeared to be in trouble. "Ok squad we're assigned to protect Ocean Blue and target whatever she targets. If everything goes right we should slaughter the vong. Of course nothing seems to go as it should these..." Evan was cut off by six's scream "Ocean Blue is under heavy attack. 36 skips, two light cruisers and a medium cruiser. Her sheilds are already down." Evan silently cursed as he only had 8 pilots left and most were damaged. "By the time we get there it will almost be too late to save her and what can we do anyway" said ten."We have to try. Form into two flights. Two, four and six with me. Nine take ten, seven and twelve. Evan did not expect to save her but they had to try. The battle was going well by the time they got there the rebels and imperials were winning on all fronts pretty much except for the Ocean Blue. She was near death and they could only hope to give her time to be evacuated. Emerald and green squadrons came over to help so the skips were no problem at all. "One flight with Emerald Two with Green. Lets take out those light cruisers." They easily did and the Ocean Blue had most of its remaning personel saved." Now we shall take out the medium cruise in vengeance!"

OOC: Whatever your little surprise is concentrate it on the imps ok? Us rebs have had enough pounding.
