the_mask Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 Ok, since some people have had problems with executing the patch to get rid of the name-length problem. Igor suggested to me, that I put the modified dlls on. This way you won't have to patch anything, you just need to replace the two dlls in your main Rebellion directory. http://members.xoom.it/d_kelley/rebellion/Rebellion_cardspace_update_plan_b.zip When I ever have the time to write a english translation for my site (or at least parts of it) you guys can also view the cards I made after creating the patch. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 That would be good, speaking as i do English and French. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
UntimelyDemise Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 hmmm...I only speak the Southern dialect of American English. I took French in school, but only so I could swear at people without them knowing... Kudos to the_mask for simplifying things for us... TK421 Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 Speak fluent Dutch (country of origin), french, german, english. And read Italian, Greek and Latin. Anyway, that was not the topic! Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
Guest JediIgor Posted October 30, 2002 Posted October 30, 2002 **mumbles** Europeans.. I for one am taking Japanese.. The hard part is probably the vocabulary, it usually bears no resemble whatsoever to either Russian or English. (writing the stuff is easy though, as it has two alphabets and the kanji, and I know the two alphabets). That, and understanding the stuff you read... but that just sends me back to the 'vocabulary shortage' problem.
the_mask Posted October 31, 2002 Author Posted October 31, 2002 **mumbles** Russian-Americans.. LOL (just kiddin') TK, did you have Latin at school ? Beati pauperes spiritum, or so I believe it went in the Asterix comics I speak only about less then 5 words in Russian and Japanese, but to add to the contest: I can read Italian and Spanish quite well http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif

Guest JediIgor Posted October 31, 2002 Posted October 31, 2002 Just so you know, this patch is now available in the Downloads section!
ElvisMiggell Posted October 31, 2002 Posted October 31, 2002 Well, i'm British but i speak fluent french, i did three yrs of german, can get by in italian, spanish and portugese. I can also speak scots and irish - my father being scottish helps. so i make that 8 languages i can use. Anybody top that?Anyway, hurray for the download!!! Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Guest JediIgor Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 By Irish do you mean Gaelic? That's pretty cool anyhow, did you guys travel abroad to learn all these languages?
ElvisMiggell Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 Yep, Gaelic, nope, not to learn the languages. I mean, i picked up more italian when i was in italy, and i have been most of the major countries in Europe, but i learnt most of them at school, or at home, and some from friends. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
the_mask Posted November 4, 2002 Author Posted November 4, 2002 Same for me with learning italian and spanish. You just learn this stuff better, when you're in dire need to explain to the people that, for instance you need a beer, or you won't live through the next five minutes I also had english and french at school, although my French is a bit rusty, since I haven't had any conversations in that language for about 6 years. Btw: I hereby announce, that my homepage now (partially) speaks english as well. For now, it's the one part that counts most: Rebellion I have included in-game and rendered preview pics for the models, if you want to take a look at what you're downloading first Oh yes, the url is http://kickme.to/woodsboro/ , or if you'd like to take the long way : http://members.xoom.it/d_kelley/ The RebEd cards I created are up as well and are free to be used in any upcoming TCs if you want to http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest JediIgor Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 Maybe you should add some other flags? Like the US's? Not that I care, I just think it would be fair for the Americans.
the_mask Posted November 5, 2002 Author Posted November 5, 2002 That was the only one I found, but if you have one you can mail it to me http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
