you will get a message saying "future jedi discovered" than you can select whoever is discovered and send them on a jedi training mission.

 

In REBED you can check, charactor is a known jedi, than you can send them on jedi training right away.

Why are people afraid to die? It is a natural part of life. Life and Death. They go together. Some people are just willing to speed up that process.

Click on Vader and hold CTRL while pressing on the charracter with force abilitys send them on a mission and you will be able to conduct the Jedi Training.

Luke has to be a Master yes, but in order for him to train Leia specifically, he has to confront Vader at least once to uncover his heritage. But as a Master he can train anyone else he's detected the Force in.
