Alright, we all (almost all) of us have small bands no one's ever heard of before, or very few people.  While some of the things might be biased, that's just how it is. Post your little known bands here, so they can possibly get some more fans!

Lemon Demon-  lemondemon.com-  Nerd Rock, wrote Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny

Exploding Jellyfish- http://ejellyfish.illemonati.com/- Nerd Rock, One-Man band made by a good friend of mine.

Ninjaspark- http://www.ninjaspark.se/-  Chiptune, Recommended to me by Mythyk, really cool =)

one man band?

sounds like an oxymoron

can we call them bands since their "music" was made on computers probably with no real instruments other than their own voices?

It's still music, and, regardless if you call them band or not, they play the damn stuff.  Music can be made anywhere, with anything.  Ever hear of Stomp?  They take basically everything they can find...and make music out of it.  Just because you're used to bands who use guitars and all that crap doesn't mean it's the only there can be other things.  Just because one man makes the music doesn't mean there aren't others involved in the process. In Stomp the people actually make the noises and all, with computer music it's just soulless computer produced mass.

The People who make Chiptunes and such care about there music and put as much soul into it as anyone who uses a guitar.  If you've seen the effort it takes the professionals to make this stuff (my friend is not one of them, I'm talking Bit Shifter and Nullsleep), you'd be amazed.

I wouldn't be amazed, I know they put effort into it. But the sounds they actually produce dont have soul and in ways arent even real. The computer generates the sound. It's like comparing a robot and a human.

Coming from the guy who hates trance ^

Give em a chance Relentless even if its computer generated music its still good. You try making music and you'll appreciate the effort that goes into such things.

Friend of mine used Fruity loops and a keyboard to make music and it took a lot of time to just make a good 1 minute long music. I tried making music on Fruity loops but almost never went the way I wanted.

Once again I appreciate the effort but not the music.

Part of the reason why I dislike all machine music, including trance, is the thing I've been talking about here. The other reason is that it's bad.

Like I"ve said many times before, everyone has their opinion about it.  But what makes music from normal bands and computer bands different?  All music is is different sounds blended together to make something un/appealing to the ear.  All sounds are is certain frequencies traveling on waves and being interpretted by the ear and brain.  Either way, in all cases, music is produced by a man/woman taking a soulles medium and producing sounds in harmony with other things.

I just explained it. So I might as well ask you what makes humans and robots any different?

Josh Woodward - One man group.  He does a lot of stuff, most relating to acoustic and folk rock.  Great stuff, lots of free songs.

Harvey Danger - Fairly big group in the 90s, released a new free cd in 2004.

That's all I got right now.

Also on electronic.  Music is defined as "an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color."  I don't care for most electronic music, but I fail to see why it can't fulfill that definition.  Kenny G, the King of soulless music, is still music.

I haven't said it wasn't music, I said it was inferior music.

inferior my ass  ;D Its all up to the skill and trance is obviously with the big boys  :P While what Mikan is posted is in the middle since you can only work with what you got. Well then I only listened to 2 music on that Lemonade site and its actually pretty good but not inferior since .midi is inferior.
