of course I have, a dozen times even. And the sequel too. They're both my favourite games of all time, that's why I'm so interested of any kind of info how LA could try to continue the broken story of K2. So i'd still appreciate if someone could further spoil the campaign ending for me and tell how are these statues tied to KotOR. I just don't have the time and motivation to play the campaign through.

 

I asked because you didn't recognize carbon-frozen Sith troopers...as for spoiling the campaign, that's your own fault for not finishing it first and coming here instead, lol!

This dubious post by a Ishmael-PG made me think of a theory of the new expansion and that this expansion will have a go at KotOR.

 

Well, we didn't want to go back in time in any further expansion / sequel, since we started things rolling along in the OT timeline and thought, well if we're not going back... how can we get things to come forward?

For Example; you are at the archive of a jedi temple. Your master is a Historian who has fought in the Mandolorian War, and was once a Master to Revan before he turned to the Dark Side. He has told you much about him. Your master had also fought alongside the Exile during the Mandalorian War.

 

This setup allows for some options:

Your fellow students will have mandatory discussions with you; similar to those with Atton in KOTOR II.

 

Example situation:

Blocking the corridor are two young padawans, perhaps around ten or 12 years old (1st one’s a Human and second one’s a Drall), arguing about the history of Revan.

 

1st padawan: “…No, no; that’s not true. Revan returned to the jedi after his capture.

 

2nd padawan: “No, you’re wrong. He returned to the Dark Side and used the Star Forge to continue assaulting the Republic.”

 

1st padawan: “He? What are you talking about? She was a woman”.

 

2nd padawan: “Was not.”

 

1st padawan: “Was too.”

 

You:

a. “Um…sorry to interrupt, but would you please let me through? I don’t want to keep master Vandros waiting.”

OR

b. “I’d hate to break up this immature bickering you two have got going here; but do you mind? I’m going to be late for Master Vandros’ training session.”

 

(They see you, and, knowing that you are Vandros’ apprentice, ask you to help settle the

debate with your knowledge of Revan.)

 

1st padawan: “You must be Vandros’ apprentice. Perhaps you can correct my colleague here? He seems to think that Revan was a man, and didn’t return to the light side of the force.”

 

You:

a. “Well, first off, Revan was a man.”

OR

b. “Well, first off, (1st padawan’s name) is right; Revan was a woman.”

 

2nd padawan: “Then what about Revan’s fate?”

 

You:

a. “Revan returned to the Jedi and rejected the Dark Side.”

OR

b. “Revan betrayed allies and returned to the Dark Side.”

2nd padawan: “Ah; must have been thinking of that exile. Can’t seem to remember his name…”

*initiate name creation screen after selection. The name entered will be the Exile’s name; though basic-speaking characters will still call him/her “Exile”.

 

1st padawan: “Well that clears up a lot. Thank you. Looks like we need to study a bit more, don’t we, (2nd padawan’s name)?”

 

2nd padawan: “I suppose you’re right, (1st padawan’s name).

 

1st padawan: “Well, good day to you.”

 

2nd padawan: “And may the Force be with you.”

 

(both padawans leave)

 

Next you come upon another student, an older padawan around your age (perhaps 18?) of the Rodian species. The Rodian is working at a datapad. He asks you for assistance. Again, this is mandatory. Since your character is fluent in Huttese as  well as basic, you can understand him, and your name will appear as text in the conversation.

 

Example situation:

Rodian:

 

You: a. “What do you need?”

 

Rodian:

 

You:

a. “Wouldn’t it be easier if I just entered their descriptions into your datapad manually?”

OR

b. “OK; I’ll start with Revan. Revan had two eyes…”

 

(If a.)

Rodian:

(If b.)

Rodian:

 

You: a. (Enter Character creation screen)

 

You enter a screen that resembles the character creation screen. You must choose Revan’s Jedi Class and Portrait. You’ve already chosen Revan’s gender, so Guardian, Sentinel, and Consular will be your three choices.

 

Rodian:

 

You: a. (Enter Character creation screen)

 

Repeat process that you did with Revan.

 

Rodian:

 

END IDEA

 

This method would work quite nicely.

Btw, if you check out the FoC Map Editor, you can take a closer look at the frozen Sith Troopers. There's also a frozen Sith Officer prop, and the big Sith statue in the tomb has the Star Forge insignia blatantly stamped in red on the front, hehe...
