                             A Sequence of Implausible Occurrences

   

      One morning, I walked out the door of my house and saw something strange. My house was suddenly on a small plateau high above the ground. There was a rope at the edge of the plateau; I grabbed on and began to scale the steep cliff side of the plateau. As I went further and further down, I saw an elephant in a biplane whiz past me.  I turned around to see that the elephant was wearing aviator goggles and a red scarf. The elephant began to write something in the sky using his plane’s exhaust. It read: “EAT AT JOE’S”. I continued to descend down the cliff.

 

Suddenly, the rope snapped. I fell rapidly through the air. Fortunately, I landed safely on a bird nest sticking out from the cliff. I stood up and saw a door in the cliff wall made of wood. I opened the door and walked through. Inside was a wide, open field filled with grazing jackelopes and nerfs. Without warning, a giant Beefalo (cross between a cow and a Buffalo) came crashing through the trees of a nearby forest. I heard loud noises overhead and looked up to see chickens in choppers flying towards the monstrous creature. They began dropping chickens via parachutes onto the field. Armed with loaves of pastrami, they began to surround the beefalo.

 

On one of the helicopters, I saw a purple turkey with sunglasses pull out a megaphone. 

 

“You’re surrounded! Stand down and keep your hooves where I can see them.”

Panicked, the Beefalo pulled a Rocket Propelled Unicycle (RPU) and started pedaling.  The two jet engines on the cumbersome craft ignited, two airplane wings sprouting from either side.

“You can try and catch me; if you’re not too CHICKEN!” he bellowed as the RPU tore off into the bright blue sky.

“Follow that bovine!” shouted the turkey over the megaphone. As they left, I continued walking. I passed a brachiosaurus and a giraffe playing chess on an upside-down giant tortoise shell. As I was walking up to a green river, a trap door fell out from under me. I woke up on my bed, confused; and wondering why it was that every time I ate under-ripened bananas my dreams had to be so weird.
